Chapter 62 The Sudden Kiss
William thought, 'Stalking her? Seriously?'
His mouth twitched, and he shot back coldly, "Do I look like I have nothing better to do?"
It was Margaret sneaking around with Lyle, and now she had the nerve to question him.
Margaret glanced again at the sneaky pic of her and Lyle at the café. If William didn't snap it, then who did? She remembered someone arguing with the waiter at the door, and Lyle had said it was one of his fans who took the photo.
Could that fan have sent it to William? But why? Lyle had told her he deleted all the photos.
Something was off. Whoever sent the pic had some shady intentions. She needed to dig deeper.
Seeing Margaret stay quiet, William's face turned icy, his sharp gaze cutting into her. "How do you explain this photo?"
"Explain?" Margaret's face soured, and she shot back coldly, "I don't owe you any explanations."
William was acting like she had done something terrible to him.
She had her freedom; she could hang out with whoever she wanted.
William wasn't her boyfriend, so why should he control her?
"You don't need to explain dating another guy behind my back?" William squinted, trying to keep his anger in check. His thin lips barely moved.
For some reason, Margaret had been getting under his skin lately, even though he wasn't the type to get easily rattled.
This feeling was seriously annoying.
Looking at the icy William in front of her, Margaret said, "William, who do you think you are to control me?"
"Because I'm your fiancé!" William blurted out without thinking.
Fiancé?
Did he really think he was her fiancé?
It was just a contract, but William seemed to take it way too seriously!
Margaret sneered. "It's just on paper."
William's handsome face twisted with resentment. He suddenly grabbed Margaret's wrist forcefully. "Who said it's just on paper?"
A sharp pain shot through her wrist, and Margaret was stunned. She retorted, "Isn't it?"
Margaret's indifferent attitude stung William. He pulled her into his arms with a strong tug.
"Hey, William, what are you doing?" Margaret was stunned by his sudden move. She was about to say something, but his lips silenced her.
The next second, a passionate kiss overwhelmed her.
His kiss was intense and domineering, like he wanted to devour her.
William prided himself on not being an impulsive guy. Over the years, he had never been interested in women. Even when Lucy tried to seduce him, he was never moved and even felt disgusted.
But Margaret, time and again, made him lose control. Why was this woman so captivating?
Was it really, as Abigail and Daisy said, that Margaret was just good at seducing men?
The image of Lyle holding Margaret's hand in the photo flashed through his mind, and William's eyes darkened as he deepened the kiss.
He wanted to show Margaret through his actions that he was her fiancé!
The sudden kiss left Margaret unable to think.
One second, this guy was all serious, and the next, he was laying a passionate kiss on her.
Margaret's mind went blank, her heart pounding like it was about to leap out of her chest.
She had to admit, William's kissing game was strong, and she found it hard to resist.
She pushed against his chest with all her might, trying to shove him away, but that only seemed to fire him up more.
William's big hand lifted her shirt and slipped inside.
A cool breeze hit her, followed by his scorching hand on her chest, like a fire igniting her entire body.
"That's enough, William!" Margaret suddenly snapped back to reality, reaching out and slapping his perfect, flawless face.
The temperature in the CEO's office seemed to drop instantly.
A sharp pain spread across his face, and William's passion was met with a slap from Margaret.
William let go of her, his deep eyes full of disbelief.
Did she hit him just because he kissed her? The first time, she bit him hard. The second time, she slapped him hard.
Did Margaret hate his touch that much?
She smiled so sweetly at Lyle and Samuel, so why was she so cold and unfeeling towards him?
Was she playing hard to get, or did she really hate him?
William frowned, his face dark and terrifying. "What, my kissing skills aren't as good as Lyle's? Or not as good as Samuel's? Is that why you hate it so much?"
What was William saying?
How could he insult her like that?
Margaret glared at him angrily, a sarcastic smile on her lips. "William, you jerk! I do like Lyle, I do like Samuel, so what? Don't you like Marjorie?"
William's brow twitched, showing a hint of emotion.
'Marjorie. Yeah. How could I kiss another woman?' he thought.
Seeing William standing there like a statue, his stunned expression frozen on his face, Margaret coldly said, "William, what you just did, do you think Marjorie would approve?"
With that, Margaret turned and left.
William's eyes were glued to her back, a heavy gloom brewing in his gaze.
What was wrong with him?
Why did he get so irrationally angry whenever he saw her with another guy?
Why did he impulsively kiss her just now?
Even if Margaret gave him a feeling similar to Marjorie, she wasn't Marjorie.
Why couldn't he control himself around Margaret?
William looked down at his left hand. The feeling of her full breast lingered, unforgettable.
The scene from just now wouldn't leave his mind.
"Damn it!" William punched the desk hard, making it shake.
The pain in his hand spread through his body, finally extinguishing the fire of desire within him.
Maybe Margaret was right; he couldn't betray Marjorie.
Running back to her desk, still shaken, Margaret touched her burning cheeks, took a few deep breaths, and gradually calmed down.
What did William mean?
One moment, he was aggressively questioning her; the next, he was suddenly kissing her passionately.
He acted like a man betrayed by his wife, full of jealousy.
Could William be jealous?
But how was that possible?
In William's heart, he clearly loved Marjorie!
