Chapter 426 Simply Seducing

Thinking about it, Abigail couldn't help but feel a bit excited.

She needed to ask Daisy what really happened back then.

"Alright, that's enough for today," William said in a deep voice. "Margaret and I will have our engagement ceremony next month. We'll announce the exact date later."

With that, William took Margaret's hand, and the two of them left together.

Margaret felt a warmth in her heart as William's fingers intertwined with hers.

When they reached the hotel parking lot, William chivalrously opened the car door for Margaret. His deep, magnetic voice said, "Hop in."

"Thanks!" Margaret sat in the passenger seat, leaning back slightly against the seat.

After all the commotion tonight, she felt a bit tired and just wanted to go home and rest.

"Take me home," Margaret said, glancing at William.

William chuckled softly. "Where else would you go? I already had your stuff moved to Water Moon Estate."

Margaret was surprised and glared at him. "Who told you to move my stuff without asking?"

William, always thinking he knew best.

"You're my wife, of course you should live with me," William said matter-of-factly.

Previously, to make Angel believe they had broken up, William had Margaret move out. Now that everything was settled, he naturally wanted her back.

William didn't want to be apart from his beloved Margaret for even a moment.

Margaret was speechless.

William drove them back to Water Moon Estate. As soon as they arrived, Isolde greeted them happily, "Ms. Scott, you're back."

"Isolde." Margaret smiled faintly at Isolde's concern.

Isolde had always been kind to her, like family.

Margaret returned to her room and saw that William had indeed moved all her things back.

She tidied up a bit and then went to take a shower, planning to rest early.

Just as she finished her shower and walked back into the room, she saw William sitting on her bed.

"What are you doing?" Margaret asked, a bit annoyed, as she walked over to pull him up. "Move, go to your own room!"

But William was like a wall, immovable. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't budge him.

Not only that, but with a slight pull from William, Margaret fell into his arms.

William was wearing a white robe, with a couple of buttons undone, revealing his firm chest. Margaret's forehead bumped against it, causing a bit of pain.

Margaret winced and tried to push William away to stand up.

But the next second, she felt a sharp pain on her scalp.

Her hair had gotten tangled in William's chest buttons.

Damn it, could she be any unluckier?

"Help me out, my hair's caught in your button," Margaret said helplessly, asking William for help.

William chuckled deeply. "Do it yourself."

Margaret was exasperated.

William was doing this on purpose. Fine, she'd do it herself!

She deliberately ran her hands over William's chest, her fingers brushing against his skin, lightly caressing.

William's breath hitched.

This Margaret, her soft hands roaming over his chest, was practically teasing him!

"Stop moving!" William grabbed her hands.

Then, with a swift move, he pinned her beneath him. "Do you know what happens when you tease me?"

William's deep, magnetic voice was deliberately seductive.

Before Margaret could react, his lips captured hers.

It had been days since he last tasted her sweet lips, and William's breathing grew erratic.

His hands held Margaret's head firmly, deepening the kiss.

Her lips were soft and sweet, like tempting jelly, making him crave more.

His tongue invaded her mouth, dominating and exploring.

Margaret's face flushed hotly.

She regretted it.

If she had known this would happen, she wouldn't have touched him earlier.

The room's temperature kept rising.

Just when Margaret thought things were getting out of hand, her phone rang.

"I need to take this," Margaret said, breathless.

William was displeased. "Ignore it."

"It might be important," Margaret insisted, pushing William away.

She picked up her phone and saw it was Lyle calling.

"Why is Lyle calling you?" William's face darkened with jealousy.

Seeing his reaction, Margaret knew he was being petty again. She rolled her eyes at him. "How should I know?"

She answered the call. "Lyle, what's up?"

But it was Lyle's assistant on the other end, sounding anxious. "Ms. Scott, Mr. Pennington is in trouble."

"What?" Margaret's heart skipped a beat. "What happened to Lyle?"

She had just seen Lyle at William's engagement party, and he seemed fine. How could something have happened so suddenly?

The assistant explained, "Mr. Pennington insisted on going to the set to catch up on work tonight. During filming, he overexerted himself, and his wound reopened. He's at the hospital now."

"How could this happen?" Margaret frowned.

What was Lyle thinking?

It was so late, and he wasn't fully recovered. Why push himself so hard?

"Which hospital? I'll go see him now," Margaret said, worried. "Is he okay?"

"He's at Lakeside Hospital. The doctors are examining him," the assistant replied.

"Alright, I'll be there soon," Margaret said, hanging up.

She turned to find William's intense gaze on her. "You're going to see Lyle this late?"

William's tone was displeased, his presence icy.

"What else can I do?" Margaret stood up, glaring at William. "He's my artist, and he got hurt on the job. As his boss, I have to check on him."

Besides, Lyle had been injured protecting her. She couldn't just ignore it.

Seeing Margaret's determination, William's face darkened, his brows furrowing. "I'll take you there."
