Chapter 297 Do You Have Any Other Identities
Seeing her like this, William's eyes dimmed a bit, and he said slightly, "You misunderstood."
William spoke in a calm tone, "I just wanted to wipe the sauce off the corner of your mouth."
Margaret was stunned and instinctively raised her hand to touch the corner of her mouth, indeed feeling the sauce.
Realizing she misunderstood him, Margaret instantly turned blush with embarrassment.
She quickly coughed to change the subject. "I'm going to sleep."
With that, Margaret quickly lay down, turned her back to William, and covered her head with the blanket.
Just as she was about to fall asleep, a pair of large, well-defined hands wrapped around her waist from behind, pulling her into a broad and extremely warm embrace.
"What are you doing?" Margaret's body stiffened, and she raised her hand to struggle.
From behind, William's tired and hoarse voice came. "Don't move, I'm tired too. Let me use your bed for a while. I've been taking care of you for two days without sleeping."
Hearing this, Margaret instinctively turned over.
Their eyes met, and their breaths mingled, creating a somewhat intimate atmosphere.
Margaret looked at the handsome face in front of her. There were indeed dark circles under his eyes, which she hadn't noticed before.
Indeed, during the days she was in a coma, William had been by her side day and night, taking care of her.
Since he said so, if Margaret kicked him out of bed, it would make her seem heartless.
Margaret thought for a moment and said in a deep voice, "Okay, but you can't move around!"
"Alright." William agreed immediately.
His voice gradually softened, and soon his breathing became even.
Margaret was stunned. She had been a bit sleepy, but now lying in his arms, against his warm chest, she was instantly wide awake.
Margaret carefully observed William's handsome face. When he was awake, he always had a cold expression, and his indifferent eyes made him seem aloof and unapproachable.
Now, as he slept, his face was peaceful, with a hint of fatigue, yet still incredibly handsome.
As if possessed, Margaret raised her hand to brush a few strands of hair from his forehead, her gaze slowly moving down to his thin lips.
Thinking about their kisses made her blush.
Margaret tightened her throat and quickly closed her eyes.
If she kept looking, she would be unable to control herself!
Margaret took a few deep breaths to calm her chaotic heart and quickly closed her eyes to sleep.
In the following days, Margaret peacefully recuperated in the hospital.
William was more dedicated than a 24-hour caregiver, staying by her side and taking care of her without leaving.
He even handled all the company's affairs in the hospital.
During this time, there was still no news of Mia.
Even Anthony couldn't find her whereabouts.
Seeing Margaret frowning, William sat beside her and looked at her. "What are you thinking about?"
"Oh, nothing." Margaret snapped out of it. "Haven't you found Mia yet?"
"No news for now," William said in a deep voice.
He reached out to stroke Margaret's hair and whispered in her ear, "Don't worry, I'll protect you. I won't let you get hurt again!"
His deep, melodious voice was as soothing as a cello, yet filled with unwavering determination, making Margaret feel a surge of inexplicable warmth and emotion.
She looked up and met William's deep gaze. "Thank you, William."
"Protecting the woman I love is what I should do," William said seriously, his eyes burning with intensity.
Margaret blushed and changed the subject. "Can I be discharged now?"
With William's meticulous care over the past few days, Margaret's condition had improved.
She was eager to leave the hospital.
She felt she had been fine for a while, but William was overly cautious and insisted she stay in the hospital.
William looked at her and chuckled. "The doctor said you can be discharged tomorrow."
"That's great!" Margaret exclaimed.
She was finally getting out of this ward!
The next day, the sky was a bit overcast.
Margaret sat on the bed, watching William pack her things while munching on an apple. "Finally, I can be discharged. It's so good! Thank you for taking care of me during this time."
William paused, turned around, and his deep eyes fell on Margaret. "How are you going to thank me?"
"How do you want me to thank you?" Margaret retorted.
William finished packing, stood up, and with a teasing tone, said, "I wouldn't mind if you repaid me with yourself."
Margaret remained silent.
"Forget it, I'll owe you and repay you later," Margaret said, standing up and following William out.
Just as they reached the hospital entrance, Margaret's phone rang.
She took out her phone and saw it was Juniper calling.
Margaret answered the call. "Juniper, what's up?"
"I just booked my flight. I'll be in Ravenford tomorrow." Juniper's voice came from the other end.
Margaret nodded. "What time will you arrive? I'll pick you up tomorrow."
"Eight in the evening," Juniper replied.
Margaret smiled. "See you tomorrow!"
After hanging up, William glanced at her. "Juniper is coming tomorrow?"
"Yes," Margaret responded lightly.
William helped Margaret into the car, fastened her seatbelt, and asked, "Is there anything wrong with your studio?"
"Not really. It's about the fashion design competition next month. She's coming to discuss it with me," Margaret answered truthfully.
William smirked and asked, "Are you going abroad for the competition next month?"
"Yeah," Margaret leaned back in her seat and replied.
Susan's studio had already challenged them. Was she supposed to hide and not show up?
Margaret was confident that as long as she participated, she could defeat Susan!
"Won't you miss me if you go to Parislia?" William asked in a deep tone.
Margaret remained silent.
"Why would I miss you?" Margaret said coldly.
William squinted his eyes slightly, glanced at her, and suddenly changed the subject. "Margaret, do you have any other identities that I don't know about?"
Margaret was taken aback, then smiled. "Guess."
"I'll wait for you to tell me yourself." William raised an eyebrow, looking at Margaret with a half-smile.
Margaret pursed her lips. "Then you'll have to wait."
William chuckled. Margaret's response was as good as admitting she had other identities he didn't know about.
He was looking forward to it.
