Chapter 473 The Impact is Too Bad

Rex shot Lyle a disdainful look, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "So what if I listen to you? What if I don't? Lyle, who do you think you are? Do you think everyone has to follow your orders? You're defending Seraphina so much, are you into her too?"

Seraphina's face turned pale, fear creeping in, but she didn't want to make Lyle uncomfortable. She cautiously glanced up at him.

Lyle's face darkened. He felt Rex's words were offensive to Seraphina, and he found Rex incredibly annoying.

Rex continued his tirade, seemingly oblivious to Lyle's growing anger. "Why aren't you saying anything? Did I hit the nail on the head? Lyle, I didn't expect you to be so fickle. Weren't you always into Margaret—"

A dull thud interrupted him, the sound of a fist connecting with flesh.

Caught off guard, Rex felt a sharp pain in his face. He grimaced, clutching his cheek as he scrambled to his feet, glaring furiously at Lyle, who had just lowered his fist.

Rex couldn't hold back his anger. "Lyle, what the hell? Are you crazy?"

"What am I doing?" Lyle snapped, his anger boiling over. He didn't know why he was so furious, but he lost control and lunged at Rex, starting a brawl.

"I'm fixing that mouth of yours!" Lyle shouted, landing another punch.

The fight escalated quickly. Seraphina was frantic, trying to separate them but finding it impossible. "Mr. Pennington, Mr. Vaughan, please stop! This is the hospital entrance, please stop!"

The commotion soon attracted a crowd of onlookers. While many didn't recognize Rex, Lyle was a household name, the Best Actor, and his fame drew even more attention. People started taking out their phones to record the scene, including Seraphina standing nearby.

"Isn't that Lyle? Why is he fighting in the street?"

"Isn't that Seraphina, the rising star? What's going on here?"

The crowd buzzed with speculation, enjoying the drama.

Reporters rushed to the scene, eager to capture the story, fearing they'd miss out on breaking news.

The situation spiraled out of control, and security struggled to manage the crowd. It took a long time before Lyle and Rex were finally pulled apart. By then, photos of the fight had already flooded Facebook, with captions speculating about Lyle and Seraphina's relationship.

#LyleSeraphina and #LyleTwoMenOneWoman quickly trended, with marketing accounts sharing the fight photos, causing a social media frenzy.

Starlight Entertainment.

The online uproar couldn't escape Margaret's notice. Ten minutes earlier, while checking on her employees' work and the marketing of their shows, a young staff member had stumbled upon the trending topic on Facebook. Margaret had immediately tasked the PR department with damage control.

In her office, Margaret leaned on her desk, eyes fixed on her computer screen, watching the video of Lyle and Rex's fight, which also captured Seraphina.

Margaret frowned, feeling a headache coming on.

"Where's Lyle? Get him back here," she said, calling Lyle's assistant.

She thought, 'Lyle is such a grown man, yet he still causes trouble for me.'

The PR department was already working on the Facebook videos and marketing posts. An hour later, Lyle and Seraphina returned to the office.

Seraphina was visibly shaken, following Lyle into the CEO's office without a word, her eyes red and tear-streaked. She glanced at Margaret but kept her head down, looking pitiful.

Lyle's face bore clear bruises, his lip swollen, his expression cold and silent.

"You came back?" Margaret sat in her chair, lips tightly pressed together. Seeing Lyle, her anger surged. She couldn't believe Lyle, with his influence, would fight in public.

Lyle remained silent, but Seraphina hurriedly tried to explain, "Margaret, it's like this..."

"Don't speak for him," Margaret interrupted, her tone softening slightly. "Seraphina, go home and rest. You just got out of the hospital; your health is important. I need to speak with Lyle alone."

Seraphina hesitated, wanting to say more, but seeing Margaret's stern expression, she relented, murmuring a timid "okay" before leaving.

Margaret looked at Lyle, frustration and anger evident. She walked up to him, arms crossed, glaring up at him.

"Lyle, what were you thinking? You're the Best Actor; you should know better. Do you realize the damage this could cause the company? I know you were trying to help Seraphina, but you need to be mindful of your image. You're a public figure!"

Margaret was exasperated. Lyle was usually calm and composed; why had he acted so impulsively?

"Margaret, I..." Lyle began, his face stern.

Margaret waved him off and interrupted, "Enough. Go to the hospital and get your injuries checked. I'll handle this."

That evening, Margaret returned to Water Moon Estate.

The living room was dark and empty, making her wonder if William was home.

She turned on the lights and heard noises from the kitchen.

Assuming it was Isolde cooking, she called out, "Isolde, is William home?"

No response came from the kitchen.

Curious, Margaret walked in and found William, dressed in a shirt and slacks, cooking.

"Why are you cooking? Feeling leisurely today?"

Margaret was surprised but smiled at the sight of him.

William turned, his deep eyes meeting Margaret's tired ones. "I know you had a rough day. I wanted to make you a candlelit dinner."

Lyle's incident had brought a lot of negative press, and Margaret had been dealing with it all day, feeling like someone was deliberately targeting Starlight Entertainment.

Margaret had spent the day at the office, managing the crisis.
