Chapter 347 Jealous of Lucy

"Why did William go to the hospital? Bradley has already been discharged, hasn't he?" Lucy furrowed her delicate brows and glanced at Grace as she asked.

"Since Bradley has been discharged, Mr. Fisher must have gone to the hospital to see Angel," Grace thought for a moment and replied.

"Let's go and check it out." The thought of William visiting another woman ignited a burning jealousy in Lucy's heart.

The two of them went to the hospital again. Grace inquired about Angel's ward, and they took the elevator together to the ward's door.

The door was slightly ajar, and through the crack, Lucy indeed saw William inside the ward.

"Marjorie, how are you?" William looked down at Angel lying on the hospital bed and asked expressionlessly.

He had received a call from the doctor while he was in a meeting. "Mr. Fisher, Angel's condition has worsened."

William frowned slightly. "Worsened? How could it worsen all of a sudden? How is she?"

"Angel's condition was under control, but she suddenly vomited blood and fell into a coma this morning. We are currently performing emergency treatment." The doctor's voice came through the phone.

"She woke up briefly and kept calling your name, Mr. Fisher. Could you come and see her?" The doctor asked cautiously.

Remembering Margaret's advice, William nodded. "Alright, I'll be there right away."

He hurriedly ended the meeting and rushed to the hospital.

When he arrived, the doctors were performing emergency treatment on Angel.

William waited outside the operating room for a while, and then a few nurses pushed Angel out.

William asked the doctor in the white coat following behind. "Is she alright?"

The doctor respectfully replied, "Fortunately, we treated her in time. She's out of danger now."

"How did her condition suddenly worsen?" William asked in a deep voice.

The doctor hesitated for a moment and explained, "Since Angel is in the late stages of stomach cancer, it's normal for her condition to fluctuate."

William nodded thoughtfully and followed the nurses to Angel's ward.

He looked down at Angel for a while and was about to turn and leave.

Angel suddenly woke up. "William, you came to see me? I thought I'd never see you again."

Angel's face was pale, and her gaze at William was filled with undisguised admiration.

William hadn't visited her for several days. Every time she called him, he claimed to be busy.

Desperate, Angel pretended her condition had worsened, finally getting William to come.

William still cared about her; as soon as he heard her condition had worsened, he rushed to the hospital.

Moreover, he had heard that Margaret had gone to Maplewood in the past few days.

William hadn't gone with her, indicating that they had indeed fallen out.

Thinking of this, a trace of smugness flashed in Angel's eyes.

"How could that be? The doctor said your condition has improved. You should rest well," William said with a faint smile.

But his mind was on Margaret, who should have arrived in Maplewood by now.

William's subordinates had told him that Margaret insisted on going to the Azure Mountain Area, which worried him greatly.

"I have something to do, Marjorie. I'll come to see you in a few days," William said absentmindedly.

"William, can you stay with me a bit longer?" Seeing William eager to leave, Angel grabbed his arm, her voice filled with hope.

When Lucy and Grace arrived, they saw this scene.

Seeing Angel tightly holding William's arm, Lucy was furious.

She walked into the ward in her high heels. "William, so you were here. I just went to your office to find you, but you weren't there."

William turned and saw Lucy, his handsome face darkening.

"What do you want?" William asked with a frown.

"Can we talk outside?" Lucy glared at Angel with jealousy.

William didn't want to stay any longer. After a moment of thought, he nodded and walked out of the ward with Lucy.

Watching them leave, Angel's eyes were filled with uncontrollable jealousy.

She cursed in her head, 'This bitch Lucy dares to compete with me for William. William doesn't even like her. She had no self-awareness and was just humiliating herself. No matter what, William would ultimately belong to me!'

"William, I actually came to apologize to you today," Lucy quickly caught up with William and said cautiously.

But William didn't even give her a cold glance. He walked straight to the hospital entrance, got into his car, and drove away.

Watching William's limited edition Rolls-Royce disappear, Lucy stomped her foot in anger.

She gritted her teeth, looked at Grace beside her, and asked, "What does he mean by that? Why didn't he say a word to me?"

Grace cautiously replied, "Maybe he is still mad at you?"

"But I already apologized to him," Lucy said through gritted teeth.

Lucy had hoped to use the apology as an opportunity to get close to William again.

But she hadn't expected William would completely ignore her.

Even Angel, a former bar singer, had William rushing to the hospital to see her.

She, a wealthy heiress of the Clark Family, was no less than Angel.

"Lucy, don't be angry. Let's think of another way," Grace said, trying to appease Lucy.

"What other way is there?" Lucy's delicate face twisted in frustration. She had even resorted to underhanded tactics like drugging him.

"Angel isn't that great. She just knows how to play the victim. Didn't she cause a huge scene by threatening to jump off a building? She used that to snatch William from Margaret," Grace said, seemingly unintentionally.

"You mean..." Lucy pondered.

"If you got hurt for William, he would definitely soften." a glint of cunning flashed in Grace's eyes.

Grace had long seen that William didn't care about Lucy.

Even if Lucy tried to pull the same suicide stunt as Angel, William probably wouldn't give her a second glance.

But Grace wanted to see Lucy get hurt.

Becauseshe was jealous of Lucy.
