Chapter 371 Mistakes Made After Getting Drunk
"I'm not drunk!" Juniper heard a voice in her haze, instinctively turned her head, and saw Samuel's face.
She giggled, her face flushed from the alcohol, and reached out to tug on Samuel's sleeve. "Hey, Samuel? What are you doing here? Perfect, have a drink with me!"
Juniper's tone was firm, and Samuel had no choice but to sit down beside her.
"Come on, let's toast!" Juniper poured some wine into another glass and handed it to Samuel.
Samuel didn't reach out to take it but looked at Juniper with concern. She seemed to have become quite haggard these days.
When Juniper was about to pour more wine into her mouth, Samuel instinctively grabbed her wrist. "Juniper, stop drinking. You've had enough."
"Let go!" Juniper frowned and shouted at him impatiently, shaking off Samuel's hand. "If you still consider me a friend, drink with me. Otherwise, leave me alone."
With that, she took another big gulp.
Samuel sat beside Juniper, frowning and pursing his lips, the pain in his eyes evident.
He couldn't understand whyshe end up liked this because of Alden.
Samuel turned his head, looked at the glass on the table, and suddenly felt an impulse. He picked up the glass and drank it all in one go without any hesitation. "I'll drink with you!"
Juniper laughed, her eyes sparkling, and clinked her glass with Samuel's. "That's more like it. Let's drink!"
The next day, in the hotel room.
The curtains weren't fully drawn, and sunlight streamed through the gaps, illuminating the room. The floor was a mess, and on the bed lay a disheveled man and woman.
They were Juniper and Samuel.
Perhaps the light was too strong, Juniper frowned unconsciously, slowly opened her eyes, and felt a sharp headache.
Her whole body ached, and she gasped in pain, slowly sitting up and surveying the unfamiliar surroundings.
Suddenly, a familiar voice came from beside her, and Juniper was shocked. She turned abruptly and saw Samuel lying next to her.
She couldn't help but thought, 'Why do I sleep with Samuel? What happened last night?'
Juniper felt a surge of alarm. She closed her eyes tightly, and fragments of last night's events flashed through her mind.
Yesterday, she was drinking at the bar and saw Samuel. Both of them got drunk, stumbled out of the bar, and Samuel said he would take her home. But they ended up at a hotel, and then.
Realizing that she had sex with Samuel last night, Juniper's mind went blank, leaving her unsure of what steps to take next if Alden found out.
At this moment, Samuel also slowly woke up. He was stunned when he saw Juniper.
Memories of last night came flooding back, and Samuel looked at Juniper awkwardly. "Juniper, I..."
Samuel's thoughts were a mess. What happened last night was too sudden, and he didn't know what to say. In the end, he could only manage one sentence. "Juniper, I'm sorry. Don't worry, I'll take responsibility."
Juniper closed her eyes in sorrow. Her feelings were complicated, and all she could think about was Alden. She loved Alden deeply and couldn't accept what had happened.
Samuel looked at Juniper earnestly, and Juniper finally took a deep breath, got out of bed, and started getting dressed. "Whatever happened last night, I don't remember. You should forget it too."
Juniper dressed quickly, grabbed her bag, and left. Her mind was in turmoil, and she didn't want to see Samuel.
Even when she went to take care of Alden, Juniper was absent-minded, often sitting in a daze.
Although Alden had been giving Juniper the cold shoulder, he still cared about her deep down. 'Juniper is acting very off today. What is wrong with her?'
Alden glanced at Juniper's face several times, worried but hesitant to speak.
"If you don't want to take care of me in the hospital, just go home. Stop causing trouble here." Alden's deliberately harsh words snapped Juniper back to reality.
Juniper pursed her lips and took a long time to speak, "Alden, you don't have to treat me like this all the time. If you want to break up, I agree."
Juniper had made up her mind. She had already slept with Samuel and couldn't face Alden anymore. It was better to break up.
Alden's heart tightened, but he controlled his urge to question Juniper and calmly said, "You've finally made up your mind. That's for the best."
Juniper looked at Alden seriously. "But you have to cooperate with Pryce's treatment in the hospital. Once your leg is healed, I won't come to see you again. We'll forget each other, and I'll let you go."
No one knew how much it hurt her to say those words, the bitterness she felt, or how hard it was to hold back her tears.
Alden didn't say anything, seemingly agreeing.
At the Thomas Family, "Ms. Thomas, Ms. Clark is here." The butler heard the doorbell, saw who was outside, and turned to inform Grace, who was reading a magazine on the couch.
Grace pondered for a moment, a cold smile forming in her heart. But when she heard the sound of high heels, she looked up with a smile on her face. "Lucy, what brings you here today?"
Lucy sat on the couch, still as arrogant as ever, as if she didn't see Grace at all.
"Cut the small talk. I'm here for a reason."
"What is it?" Grace looked curious, staring intently at Lucy.
In reality, she knew that besides Margaret, what else could bring Lucy to her?
Lucy glanced at her, a hint of malice in her eyes, and clenched her hands on her lap. Her voice was low but full of venom. "Grace, I want you to find a way to completely ruin that bitch Margaret. I don't want to see her around William anymore."
Grace laughed inwardly. 'Lucy is indeed foolish, still coming to me for help.'
She lowered her head slightly, a barely noticeable cold smile on her lips.
"What are you thinking? Don't tell me you can't come up with a plan?" Lucy noticed Grace's silence and couldn't help but frowned, asking impatiently.
"No," Grace quickly looked up, shaking her head in denial. She cautiously leaned closer to Lucy and, after some thought, said, "Well, Starlight Entertainment is holding the opening ceremony for 'The Last Actor' in a few days. That would be a good opportunity."
