Chapter 455 Cannot Bear Mention

The doctor let out a sigh of relief and said to Madeline, "She's over five months pregnant now. Good thing we got her to the OR in time. Otherwise, we might've lost the baby, and her health would've been in serious trouble. But she's stable now. She needs to rest and keep calm. It's best if she stays in a good mood."

"Thank you, doctor. Thank you."

Madeline felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders hearing Juniper was okay. She bowed repeatedly, showing her gratitude. "Thank you, doctor. Thank you!"

At over fifty, Madeline had only one daughter. If anything had happened to Juniper, she wouldn't have known what to do. She now truly understood the joy of regaining something precious. Samuel, too, was thrilled to hear the news. Soon, Juniper was wheeled out, still pale and unconscious from the anesthesia. Samuel's heart ached seeing her like that.

Juniper was moved to a regular room. Seeing Madeline looked worn out, Samuel suggested, "Mrs. Hayes, why don't you head home and get some rest? I'll stay here with Juniper. Don't worry, I've already talked to the director and taken leave. Everything's fine."

Madeline hesitated but saw Samuel's sincerity and determination, so she reluctantly agreed. "Alright, Samuel, I'll leave her in your care. But there won't be any more incidents like earlier, right?"

Seeing Madeline's concern, Samuel felt a pang of guilt and shook his head. "Mrs. Hayes, don't worry. That won't happen again."

After Madeline left, Samuel sat by Juniper's bedside, holding her hand gently. He couldn't help but think about how much she had suffered.

Samuel thought, 'How much have you endured?'

Thinking about what Juniper had gone through, Samuel felt a deep sadness. He stepped away to a corner by the window and called his assistant. "I'm at the hospital. Let the director know I'll be back later. Yeah, Juniper was pushed by a fan and fell. We almost lost the baby. I need you to put out a statement for me. Yeah, I'll send you what I want to say, and you can have the team polish it up."

After the assistant agreed, Samuel hung up and looked back at the still-sleeping Juniper, sighing deeply. He promised himself he'd make it up to her for all the pain she had endured.

The assistant acted quickly, and about an hour later, Samuel saw the studio's post on Facebook. He also posted on his own account: "My previous car accident was due to my own lack of focus. It had nothing to do with anyone around me or my family. I hope those who care about me can be rational fans and live well, taking care of themselves first before worrying about others."

The tone of the message was firm, but Samuel didn't care. He wouldn't let anyone harm those closest to him. The post quickly garnered over two thousand comments in half an hour, mostly from fans expressing understanding and urging others to respect Samuel's privacy. They also sent well wishes for Juniper and the baby.

Around three or four in the afternoon, Juniper finally woke up. Samuel's face lit up with joy as he saw her open her eyes. He held her hand tightly and asked, "Juniper, you're finally awake. How are you feeling? Is there any discomfort?"

Juniper's mind slowly cleared, and she instinctively placed a hand on her belly as she remembered what had happened. "Is the baby okay?"

Samuel smiled and reassured her, "Don't worry, the baby is fine. Juniper, it's my fault for not protecting you and not being there in time. I've already had my assistant release a statement. What happened today won't happen again."

Juniper was touched by his words. She knew it wasn't Samuel's fault; as a celebrity, he couldn't control all his fans. But the fact that he did this for her made her grateful. "It's okay. You don't have to do this for me. They care about you, and I'm fine, really." She smiled, trying to comfort Samuel.

Samuel tightened his grip on her hand. "Even if they like me, they shouldn't harm those I care about. I love you, and they shouldn't hurt you."

These words were the best comfort Juniper could receive. She smiled and hugged Samuel, resting her head on his chest.

Time flew by, and the filming of "The Last Actor" was nearing its end. Lyle and Seraphina's on-screen chemistry had grown stronger, and they worked well together. However, with Margaret abroad, Lyle often found himself distracted, missing her.

Today's shoot involved one of the final major scenes, requiring Lyle to perform a stunt with wires. As he was lifted into the air, Seraphina watched anxiously, worried about the potential dangers.

Sometimes, things just don't go as planned.

Distracted by thoughts of Margaret, Lyle made a mistake and fell from the wires. Before anyone could react, Seraphina rushed over, shouting, "Lyle!"

The director quickly called for a safety mat, but it was too late. Seraphina managed to cushion Lyle's fall with her own body, wincing in pain as she heard the crack of her bones. Lyle, realizing what had happened, quickly got up, filled with guilt and concern.

Seraphina, sweating and unable to move from the pain, was surrounded by staff who helped her until the ambulance arrived. Lyle, worried about her injuries, accompanied her to the hospital.
