Chapter 305 Do You See How Sincere I'm?
William never expected Margaret to be so bold. He raised his large, well-defined hand and directly cupped the back of her head, taking the lead and deepening the kiss.
Margaret couldn't help but let out a moan.
The reaction of Margaret further excited William. He held her cheeks tightly with both hands, continuously kissing the woman he deeply loved.
It wasn't until Margaret couldn't bear the pain in her feet any longer and pushed William away, gasping for breath, that the deep kiss ended.
Blushing, she sat back in her wheelchair.
Her heart was pounding.
Margaret looked at herself in the wheelchair and William also in a wheelchair. Facing each other like this, they seemed like a couple who had gone through thick and thin together.
Looking at the still-handsome face in front of her, Margaret made up her mind.
No matter what William became in this life, she would stay with him.
Marjorie couldn't stop her love for William.
Since she had chosen William, she had to hold on to him tightly. Even if Angel was really Marjorie, so what?
William loved her now. Could she not outdo that hypocritical woman?
"Do you see how sincere I'm, William? If you hesitate any longer, I might change my mind." Margaret pretended to be relaxed, raising her chin, but her tight grip on the wheelchair's armrest betrayed her nervousness.
"Okay." William's thin lips lifted slightly, his dark eyes full of tenderness.
Seeing that William's expression was finally less gloomy, Margaret let out a long breath. "Alright, once we recover, we'll get engaged first."
"Okay," William responded lightly, a barely noticeable triumphant smile flashing in his eyes.
The tension in Margaret's heart eased a bit, and she suddenly felt pain all over and very tired.
She had just woken up from a coma not long ago and had just kissed William passionately for so long. She really couldn't hold on any longer.
Margaret looked at William. "I'm going back to rest."
"Okay." William didn't say much and didn't try to stop her.
His deep eyes watched Margaret push her wheelchair out of the ward.
The moment the door closed, William, who was supposed to be disabled, suddenly stood up from the wheelchair.
He walked with his long legs to the switch and turned on the lights.
The ward suddenly lit up, and William lay back on the bed.
A few minutes later, the door opened again, and Peter walked in with Pryce.
Pryce's face turned cold with displeasure. "If Margaret finds out you were deceiving her, she will never forgive you."
If he had known William was so despicable, using disability to trick Margaret into getting engaged, he wouldn't have saved him when Peter asked him to.
When Peter brought back William and Margaret with the search and rescue team, William was on the brink of death, and Margaret was unconscious. Peter urgently asked Pryce to save them.
He didn't want to help at first, but Peter said that William and Margaret had deep feelings for each other, and William fell off the cliff to save Margaret. It wouldn't be right not to save him.
Pryce couldn't just watch Margaret wake up and lose the one he loved, so he agreed to help.
He treated William for three days without rest, reconnecting all his broken bones, even saving his legs, which had a high chance of being disabled.
Worried that William couldn't endure the pain, Pryce used his ancestral secret recipe to speed up William's recovery.
What should have taken a hundred days to fully recover, Pryce reduced to just a few days for half the recovery.
And now, William was using his legs to deceive Margaret.
"Pryce, I had no choice. Margaret has misunderstandings about me that are hard to resolve. Without this method, it might take us a long time to be together," Lying on the bed, William looked at Pryce with deep eyes and explained, "Margaret loves me deeply, Pryce, you can see that, right?"
That was enough for him.
He had long understood the situation with Marjorie. He now loved Margaret.
His feelings for Marjorie were just gratitude, nothing more.
He would ensure she lived a prosperous life but wouldn't hurt Margaret for her.
Seeing Pryce remain silent, William continued, "Pryce, believe me, I love Margaret. I will make her the happiest woman in the world. You want Margaret to be happy too, right?"
Pryce sighed, "Fine, this is between you two. I can't interfere. Since you and Margaret are both fine now, I should leave."
He didn't want to stay here any longer.
It always reminded him of Betty.
If Betty were still alive, seeing Margaret grow up and have a man who loved her enough to do anything for her, Betty would be very pleased.
Before leaving, Pryce went to Margaret's ward to check on her.
But when he reached her door, he saw she was already asleep. Pryce's eyes dimmed.
"Pryce, should I wake Margaret? She just lay down," Juniper asked, seeing Pryce standing silently at Margaret's door.
"No, let her rest. Give this to Margaret and tell her to apply it to her feet three times a day. She'll be healed in three days." Pryce shook his head and handed a white porcelain bottle to Juniper.
Juniper quickly took it and agreed. "Okay, I'll give it to her when she wakes up."
Pryce nodded. "I'm leaving. If Margaret asks about me, tell her to focus on recovering."
"Got it," Juniper said reluctantly.
In William's ward, "Mr. Fisher, are you really going to keep this from Miss Scott?" Peter asked cautiously.
Peter always felt William was walking a dangerous line.
To get Margaret to agree to his proposal, he had jumped off a cliff.
Barely surviving, he then pretended to be disabled to gain Margaret's sympathy and get her to agree to be with him.
William had indeed used every trick in the book for love.
But if Margaret found out she was deceived, given her personality, she would definitely be furious.
"I know what I'm doing. Prepare for the engagement party."
"Yes, Mr. Fisher," Peter replied respectfully.
Since William had made up his mind, there was nothing more to say.
Hopefully, Margaret would understand William's good intentions.
