Chapter 322 Can't Wait to Have You
"Behave yourself! Drive quickly!" Margaret's face turned crimson as she pushed William away.
Seeing the shy look on her face, William stopped teasing her. He reached over to fasten her seatbelt and chuckled softly. "Alright."
With his well-defined hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, William drove Margaret to her rented apartment.
Since they had to act out their roles, they couldn't live together anymore.
"We're here." William stopped the car and opened the door for Margaret.
"Hurry up and leave, don't let anyone see you." Margaret looked around nervously. If Angel saw them, all their previous planning would be for nothing.
William, however, was reluctant to part. He reached out and pulled Margaret into his arms. "What? Can't wait to get rid of me?"
"No, if Angel and the others see us, then..." Before Margaret could finish her sentence, William suddenly leaned in and kissed her on the lips.
Margaret's face turned flush. She wanted to push him away, but his hands held her tightly.
The familiar and wonderful feeling of the woman in his arms made William lose control a bit.
He wanted more.
But now wasn't the time.
He ended the passionate kiss reluctantly and rested his chin on Margaret's forehead. "Margaret, I can't wait to have you."
Margaret's heart was pounding as she pushed him back into the car. "Alright, you need to go. It wouldn't be good if someone saw us."
William's face turned serious.
He was openly kissing his fiancée, but it feel like they were having an affair.
Margaret returned to her temporary apartment, washed up, and lay down to rest.
In her mind, she kept replaying the scene in the bar's parking lot.
She pondered, 'Who is that little girl with the scar on her wrist? Is it Marjorie? Then why does Angel also have a scar on her wrist?'
She had only caught a glimpse earlier and didn't see clearly, but her intuition told her that Angel's scar didn't seem fake.
It looked like she needed to find an opportunity to take a closer look next time.
Thinking about these things, Margaret drifted off to sleep.
In her dreams, she was being chased again.
In the dark forest, she kept running and running, with a group of fierce men chasing her.
Ahead was a cliff!
She had nowhere to run.
The footsteps behind her grew closer and closer. Margaret was drenched in sweat, and as she slipped, she fell off the cliff.
The real sensation of falling filled every cell in Margaret's body with fear.
Margaret screamed and woke up suddenly.
She turned on the light and looked around, realizing it was a dream.
Margaret rubbed her eyes, still shaken, and she didn't understand whyshe had this dream again.
William drove back to the hospital.
When he arrived at Bradley's ward , Bradley was still asleep, and James was keeping watch.
"Mr. Fisher, why are you here? Aren't you going home to rest?" James stood up respectfully when he saw William.
William replied calmly, "I want to spend some time with my grandpa."
Bradley had finally woken up, and his health indicators were gradually improving. William felt relieved but also a bit regretful.
He had been so busy with work before that he had neglected Bradley's health.
Now that Bradley was recovering, William was determined to spend more time with him.
Bradley was so good to him, but Daisy and Abigail...
Thinking about how those two women had poisoned Bradley to frame Margaret and get rid of her, William's handsome face darkened.
He couldn't understand how Daisy and Abigail could be so heartless.
With a somber expression, William silently lay down on a nearby couch .
James didn't ask any more questions and quickly covered him with a blanket.
Seeing William's furrowed brows even in sleep, James sighed deeply.
He hadn't expected Abigail and Daisy to harm Bradley.
James had watched William grow up. Now that Daisy and Abigail were locked up, how would William face them?
They were family, after all. It couldn't be as easy as it seemed on the surface.
He must be hurting inside.
James felt deeply for him.
Maybe it was because he was really exhausted these past few days, so William slept until noon the next day.
William vaguely heard a young woman's voice.
He opened his eyes to see Angel sitting by Bradley's bed. "Bradley, I made this nutritious lunch especially for you. Please try it."
Angel was delighted to see William awake, but she also caught a glimpse of disappointment in his eyes.
Thinking of that William might think about Margaret, Angel's heart was filled with jealousy and hatred.
She cursed in her head, 'That bitch Margaret has dared to set me up, making William think I was lying and feel disappointed in me. I have to find a way to make things right!'
Taking a deep breath, Angel pretended to be sweet and understanding, as if she had forgotten what had happened at the hotel last night.
She asked with a smile, "William, you're awake?"
Angel handed the bowl of soup to James and walked over to William.
"William, I went to the office to find you, but you weren't there. Peter told me you were here taking care of Bradley, so I was worried you weren't eating well. I made nutritious meals for both you and Bradley." She sat down on the couch and began opening the lunch boxes she had brought, displaying a variety of dishes that looked and smelled delicious, showcasing her domestic skills.
William glanced at the food without saying anything.
Bradley, however, was thoughtful about Angel's eagerness to please William as soon as he woke up.
His sharp eyes had seen through everything, but he remained silent.
He didn't interfere in the younger generation's affairs.
He believed William could handle it himself.
"No need, James. Go to the hospital cafeteria and get me some food." William's voice was hoarse, possibly from sleeping on the couch and catching a chill.
Angel's heart ached at his cold and distant attitude.
"William, I made this food for you. Why do you want James to go to the cafeteria?" She bit her lip, her face full of grievance.
