Chapter 497 The Most Beautiful Girl
Michael turned his head, looking at Lucy with a mix of confusion and sadness. He opened his mouth, but only managed to say one word: "You..."
What could he say? You've changed, you're letting Mom and Dad down, you weren't like this before?
After hesitating for a moment, he still couldn't say anything.
Lucy looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "What's wrong with me? Michael, didn't you always say that William and I looked good together? Now I want to marry him, isn't that perfect? Michael, you should work harder and win Margaret over, so William will be mine."
Seeing Lucy like this, Michael felt helpless. He glared at her fiercely, for the first time feeling the urge not to speak to her, and went back to his room.
Seraphina watched as the ambulance took the elderly man away, finally feeling a weight lift off her chest.
The director sighed in relief and had his assistant contact the man's family. Because of the incident, the crew decided to halt the commercial shoot for now.
"Thanks to you, that lady is safe," Seraphina said, looking at Terry across from her, suddenly seeing him in a more heroic light.
"I'm a doctor; it's what I do," Terry replied with a calm smile.
"I was really scared at the time, didn't know what to do," Seraphina admitted, still a bit shaken as she recalled the elderly man collapsing in front of her.
If Terry hadn't been on set today, or if no one knew first aid...
Seraphina's hands felt cold at the thought.
Seeing her pale face, Terry walked over and spoke softly, "It's okay, the doctor said the man will be fine."
"But..." Seraphina hesitated, but Terry interrupted her.
"No buts. Don't worry, the director has contacted his family, and I'll keep an eye on the hospital."
Looking at Terry's reassuring smile, Seraphina relaxed. She glanced at her phone, looking a bit disappointed.
"I missed it."
"Missed what?" Terry asked curiously.
"My favorite food vlogger. I was supposed to catch her live stream after the shoot, but now I've missed it," Seraphina explained.
"Food vlogger?" Terry's tone carried a hint of surprise, which Seraphina quickly picked up on and explained.
"I just watch. I can't eat while dieting, but I can watch others eat to satisfy my cravings," she said, pouting.
Terry did a quick search on his phone, looking at the vibrant videos. His mouth twitched slightly.
"Dieting isn't good for your health, and watching these won't make you hungrier?"
"Can't I have a little psychological comfort? It's tough being a star," Seraphina replied.
"How about this? I'll make you a diet plan that lets you enjoy good food while losing weight. How does that sound?" Terry suggested with a rare teasing expression, raising an eyebrow at her.
"You can do that?" Seraphina turned her head in surprise.
"Just a side gig," Terry said, shaking his phone with a smile. "My secret recipes, free of charge."
Seraphina laughed, about to say something when her manager called her over, and they parted ways.
"Who was that? He's really handsome," her manager asked, eyeing Terry curiously, as if she hadn't seen such a star in the industry before.
Seraphina fiddled with her phone, answering nonchalantly, "A friend, and the heir to Zola Cosmetics Company."
Her manager looked surprised, not expecting Seraphina to know someone like that, and seeing their friendly conversation, it seemed they were quite close.
"Come on, spill it. How did you two meet?" Her manager sensed some gossip.
Recalling the unpleasant experience, Seraphina frowned. "It was kind of an accident."
Her manager, busy looking up Terry's information on her phone, didn't notice Seraphina's odd expression. "But seeing how he saved that elderly man today, he must be a medical professional?"
"Yes, he's a doctor," Seraphina nodded.
Glancing at Seraphina playing with her phone, her manager suddenly remembered something and spoke mysteriously, "Could he be the one sending you flowers every day?"
This made Seraphina pause. She blinked and chuckled, "No way..."
After reshooting the delayed commercial, Seraphina was heading back to the company in her car, only to find a small crowd in the lobby, including the elderly man who had had a heart attack the last time.
"Young lady!" The elderly man brightened up upon seeing Seraphina and hurried over with the help of his family.
"What are you doing here?" Seraphina asked, surprised, then noticed Terry behind the man.
They exchanged a glance, and Terry smiled at her, leaving her even more puzzled.
"Seraphina, thank you so much. If it weren't for you, my mother might not have made it..." The young man beside the elderly man handed Seraphina a large bouquet, expressing his gratitude repeatedly.
Holding the bouquet, Seraphina was still in a daze when the elderly man started praising her again.
"I didn't do much; it was mainly Dr. Perez who helped," Seraphina said, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the situation.
"Dr. Perez brought us here. He said if you hadn't noticed in time, he wouldn't have been able to save her," the elderly man said, patting Seraphina's hand gratefully.
Seraphina looked sharply at Terry. Why was he giving her all the credit?
But Terry acted as if he didn't see her expression, agreeing with the elderly man, "Yes, and it was Seraphina who called for help, allowing the ambulance to arrive quickly."
Just as Seraphina was about to speak, a handwritten thank-you card was handed to her, stopping her words.
Reading the heartfelt message, Seraphina felt dizzy. Since becoming a star, she had never received a thank-you card before.
Terry chuckled at her expression.
That afternoon, Seraphina dominated the trending topics. A reporter had captured the moment she received the thank-you card and interviewed the elderly man, sharing the story of what happened on set.
Instantly, the internet was flooded with praise. Seraphina, already well-liked, gained even more loyal fans, earning the title of the most beautiful and kind-hearted girl.
