Chapter 363 Deep Affection

Margaret pushed and shoved Samuel out of the hospital.

"Juniper, don't worry. Alden might just be in a bad mood because of his injury. Once Pryce comes and treats his leg, you can have a good talk with him," Margaret comforted Juniper.

Juniper, with red-rimmed eyes, nodded. "Okay."

"I'll call and ask when Pryce will arrive," Margaret said, taking out her phone and dialing Pryce's number. "Hello? Pryce, when can you get to Ravenford? Yes, Juniper and I just got back today. Give me a call when you arrive, and I'll come pick you up."

Pryce, who was just packing another piece of clothing into his suitcase, replied, "I've already bought my ticket. I'll be in Ravenford by 1 PM tomorrow to treat him. Send me the hospital address in advance."

"Alright," Margaret said briefly. After hanging up, she finally looked relieved.

Juniper looked at her nervously. "How did it go?"

"Don't worry." Margaret smiled. "Pryce will be in Ravenford by tomorrow afternoon to treat Alden's leg."

"That's great!" Juniper finally breathed a sigh of relief and smiled faintly, thinking Alden's mood would improve once his leg healed.

Then, she could have a good talk with him.

Juniper absolutely did not believe that Alden could fall in love with another woman.

Seeing the tired look on Margaret's face, Juniper patted her shoulder. "Margaret, you should go rest. You've been worrying about Alden with me these past few days, and you look exhausted."

"Alright, I'll head back then," Margaret said, instinctively touching her face.

She had been busy with rescue efforts in the disaster area and had made several trips to the hospital. She was indeed very tired.

Margaret glanced at the situation in the ward one more time, still worried as she looked at Juniper. "But are you sure you can stay here alone with him?"

Juniper smiled faintly and shook her head. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about me. Go on, get some rest."

Seeing her so determined, Margaret didn't say anything more and turned to leave.

The moment she got home, Margaret felt completely relaxed. She went straight to take a shower, and only after changing into her pajamas did she feel truly comfortable.

She was really exhausted.

Lying on her bed, Margaret took out her phone and casually browsed the web. Suddenly, she saw news about William personally going to the Maplewood disaster area for relief efforts.

#Mr. Fisher personally goes to the earthquake disaster area for relief!#

At the end of the article, there was a video of William in the disaster area. In the video, he still looked stern and unapproachable, but his eyes and tone softened when he spoke to the elderly and kids in the disaster area.

Watching the video, Margaret couldn't help but smiled.

For some reason, even though they had only been apart for less than a day, she suddenly missed him.

Just as this thought crossed her mind, Margaret's phone rang. It was William.

Margaret's heart skipped a beat.

She answered the call.

"Margaret, are you home?" William's concerned voice came from the other end of the line.

"I just got home and took a shower. I'm lying in bed, reading news about you going to the disaster area," Margaret said, a happy smile spreading across her lips. "You looked quite handsome on camera. How are things over there?"

"What's the point of being handsome?" William's voice suddenly sounded a bit low and somewhat aggrieved. "Without my wife by my side, it's pointless to be handsome."

Hearing his words, Margaret felt her ears heat up and couldn't help but chided, "Stop it. Who's your wife? Behave serious."

"The situation here is stabilizing. We're mainly focusing on settling the survivors now. You don't need to worry." After reporting the situation, William paused for a few seconds. Then, his deep, magnetic voice came through the receiver. "But, Margaret, I'm serious too. I miss you. I want to see you right now."

He had said many sweet things before, but hearing this, Margaret's heart still fluttered.

As their conversation continued, Margaret felt increasingly tired. She couldn't even remember when she hung up. As soon as she closed her eyes and her head hit the pillow, she fell asleep.

In her dream, she suddenly saw William.

They were in a bedroom. He walked over, wrapped his arms around her waist, and whispered in her ear in a low, seductive voice, "Margaret, I miss you. I want to kiss you."

The warmth of his breath on her ear made Margaret blush. Then, his thin lips pressed against hers.

Margaret couldn't help but moaned, her hands clutching William's collar as they became entwined.

Suddenly, the alarm clock rang.

Margaret frowned and abruptly opened her eyes, fully awake.

Sitting up in bed, she rubbed her forehead, realizing that everything that had just happened was a dream.

She felt a sense of loss.

The scenes from the dream unexpectedly replayed in her mind.

Margaret's face felt hot, thinking it was all William's fault for saying those sweet things last night that she had such a dream.

After getting up, Margaret went to Starlight Entertainment.

She had been away for so long, leaving the casting of "The Last Actor" to Lyle. Now that she was back, the first thing she wanted to do was check on Lyle's progress.

She arrived at Lyle's office door and knocked.

"Come in." Lyle's deep voice responded.

Margaret pushed the door open and entered.

Lyle looked up, and there she was, the girl he had been thinking about.

A flash of surprise and joy crossed his eyes as he quickly stood up. "Margaret, you're back?"

"Yes." Margaret smiled faintly.

"You were gone for so long. I thought it would be a few more days before you returned. How's the situation in the disaster area? Are you okay?" As soon as Margaret sat down, Lyle bombarded her with three questions of concern.

Margaret took a sip of water from the cup in front of her and placed her bag beside her. "It's fine. William is there now, and things are much better. I just got back yesterday and came to the office today to see if you are ready. Have you finalized the cast for 'The Last Actor'? Do you have any materials for me to look at?"

Seeing that Margaret only wanted to talk about work, Lyle's eyes involuntarily dimmed a bit.
