Chapter 338 Those Secrets

"I'll stay with you a little longer," William said in a somber tone.

Ever since Bradley fell ill, William had been filled with regret for not paying enough attention to him due to his busy work schedule.

Now, fortunately, Bradley was fine, and William vowed to spend more time with him in the future.

Seeing William so concerned about him, Bradley felt elated. He held William's hand and smiled broadly. "Alright."

At the Fisher family, "Daisy, look, it seems like William has had a falling out with that bitch Margaret," Abigail said, holding her phone. She had just seen the news about William picking up Bradley from the hospital, Margaret and Angel fighting, and William eventually kicking Margaret out.

"Really?" Daisy was momentarily stunned. "Didn't William really like that bitch? How could they suddenly have a falling out?"

"It's true!" Abigail excitedly handed the phone to Daisy. "Daisy, look, today when Grandpa was discharged, William even kicked Margaret out."

Daisy's gaze fell on the phone screen.

The photo indeed showed Margaret being escorted out by bodyguards.

"So it's because of Angel." Daisy squinted slightly.

She didn't like Margaret, nor did she like Angel.

In Daisy's mind, the ideal daughter-in-law was someone like Lucy, a well-educated and well-mannered lady from a prominent family.

"Daisy, since William has had a falling out with Margaret, do you think he might let us out?" Just thinking about William made Abigail's heart ache.

She loved him so much, but he wouldn't even spare her a glance.

William had always been so cold to her.

If it weren't for this, she wouldn't have taken the risk to poison Bradley and frame Margaret.

Unfortunately, she failed.

Margaret had set her up and turned the tables, leading William to lock her up.

Daisy shook her head helplessly. "William is keeping us confined because of his grandfather."

"So what do we do now? Should we go and beg Grandpa? After all, Grandpa is fine now. Maybe if he softens up, he'll ask William to let us out," Abigail suggested, biting her lip.

These days, being confined at home and unable to go out, Abigail was going stir-crazy.

She didn't want to be locked up like this forever.

Daisy laughed coldly. "Even if we knelt and begged him, he wouldn't let us out."

"Then what do we do?" Abigail felt desperate.

She had thought William was just angry and would let them out after a few days, considering family ties.

After all, Daisy was his biological mother.

But day after day, William showed no intention of letting them out.

Abigail saw no hope.

"I have a way." Daisy's face turned colder.

"Daisy, what good idea do you have?" Abigail's eyes lit up.

Daisy patted her shoulder. "Let me think it over."

"Daisy, please get William to let us out as soon as possible." Abigail couldn't wait any longer. "If this continues, I'll go crazy."

"Abigail, don't worry, we'll be out soon." Daisy's eyes flashed with determination.

William had dinner with Bradley and then stood up. "Grandpa, I have some work to do at the company, so I have to go."

Bradley nodded and advised. "William, don't overwork yourself. Take care of your health."

"Okay," William responded lightly and then turned to walk out of the Fisher Mansiom.

Watching William's car drive away, Bradley smiled.

Sensing the workholic William now often took time to accompany him, Bradley felt very happy.

"Mr. Fisher, you should rest early," James said, helping Bradley back to his room.

As soon as Bradley entered his room, his phone rang.

He looked down and saw it was Daisy calling.

Bradley's brows furrowed deeply.

Daisy had disappointed him greatly by poisoning him with Abigail for their own selfish reasons.

Bradley directly hung up, but it rang again the next second.

After thinking for a moment, Bradley answered the call.

"Dad, it's me," Daisy said on the other end, "I heard you were discharged today, so I called to check on you."

"No need for your concern," Bradley said gruffly.

"Dad, what are you saying? I care about you all the time," Daisy continued, "Abigail and I wanted to go to the hospital to pick you up, but William wouldn't let us out."

"Then you should know why William won't let you out," Bradley snorted, "What you did was extremely disappointing!"

"Dad, we didn't want to do it either!" Daisy's tone carried a hint of grievance. "Abigail and I were forced. It was Ulysses! He held a grudge against you for kicking him out and wanted to take revenge. Ulysses threatened us with a knife, saying he'd kill us if we didn't comply. What were we supposed to do?"

Bradley let out a sarcastic laugh, not believing a word Daisy said.

"I'm telling the truth. The poison Abigail gave you was also from Ulysses. I regret it now. No matter what, Dad, I apologize. Abigail and I know we were wrong. Please ask William to let us out!" Daisy finally got to the point.

Bradley's voice turned icy as he flatly refused. "I'm old. I won't interfere in William's matters."

"Is that so? Dad, you should know that William has always been haunted by his father's death, right?" Daisy's eyes flashed with a cold light. "All these years, he has never given up on finding out the truth about his father's accident at sea."

"That's good. I also hope William can find out the truth and not let his father die in vain." Bradley's tone grew heavier at the thought of his son perishing at sea.

"Dad, do you really think that?" Daisy's voice turned even colder. "If William finds out why his father went to sea and learns those secrets, what do you think he'll do?"

Bradley's heart skipped a beat. "What do you know?"

"I know everything. The night before Owen went to sea, I overheard your conversation with him in the study," Daisy said with a hint of triumph. "Dad, have you forgotten? No worries, if you've forgotten, I can remind you. What if I tell William that it was his most respected grandfather who sent his father to his death? What do you think William will do?"'
