Chapter 454 Save My Daughter

"Mom, I'm still kinda worried," Juniper said, placing her hand on her belly and glancing anxiously at Madeline. She'd been on edge all morning, not because of the prenatal check-up itself, but because she had this nagging feeling that something might go wrong.

Living at the Hall Villa, Juniper was eating well, sleeping well, and had put on a little weight. Even though Dione had her doubts about Juniper, both families had already arranged the kids' marriage. Plus, Samuel was still crazy about Juniper, so Dione had to try and accept her future daughter-in-law.

Seeing Juniper so tense, Madeline figured she was just nervous about her first check-up. She gave her a reassuring smile. "Hey, it's all good. Just a routine check-up, and we'll be back before you know it."

Juniper nodded slowly, trying to push down the unease in her heart.

Not far away, a girl with a baseball cap pulled low was heading their way, but neither Juniper nor Madeline noticed her.

The girl's eyes were locked on Juniper, filled with jealousy and resentment. It was all because of her, that Samuel's filming schedule got messed up, and he ended up in that car accident!

That witch!

As Juniper and Madeline got closer, the girl calculated the distance in her mind, closer and closer.

Now!

"It's you!" The girl suddenly lifted her head and started yelling at Juniper, revealing a young face under the cap, probably around twenty. Her eyes were wide with anger, like Juniper had done something terrible to her.

"Do you even know how old you are? Think you can just hook up with anyone? Put some clothes on!"

Juniper and Madeline were startled by the sudden outburst. Juniper froze for a moment, instinctively stepping back, looking confused. After a beat, she cautiously asked, "Who are you? Have we met?"

Madeline frowned, pointing at the girl in disapproval. "Young lady, watch your mouth. You should learn to respect others. What did Juniper ever do to you for you to yell at her like this?"

The girl spat on the ground. "Shameless! Do you even know what kind of person you are to seduce Samuel? I can't believe you made him so devoted to you. If it weren't for you, Samuel wouldn't have had the accident or delayed his filming. Do you know how much his popularity has dropped recently? Do you?"

She seemed to get angrier as she spoke, reaching out to shove Juniper hard. "Just go die, you witch!"

Juniper's face grew paler with each word. She couldn't fathom how someone so young could say such venomous things, especially mentioning Samuel, suggesting she was a fan. When the girl pushed her, Juniper instinctively stepped back, twisting her ankle and falling to the ground, landing on her stomach.

A sharp pain shot through her abdomen. Even as she fell, Juniper's first instinct was to protect her belly, but the pain was overwhelming. Her face turned ghostly white, sweat beading on her forehead, and she let out a pained moan.

"My baby, my baby."

Madeline was stunned by the girl's actions and rushed over to help Juniper. But when she looked down, she saw bright red blood pooling beneath Juniper, and her face went white with fear. She quickly called out to a passing doctor.

"Doctor! Please, help my daughter! She's pregnant!"

The doctor, seeing the urgency, sprang into action. A stretcher was brought out, and several nurses worked swiftly to lift Juniper and rush her to the maternity ward.

The girl was shocked, not expecting Juniper to get hurt. Her face turned pale, and she panicked, instinctively trying to flee. But Madeline grabbed her arm tightly, her voice shaking with anger. "Do you have any idea what you've done? Juniper's over five months pregnant. If anything happens to her, I'll make sure the police know. You're a murderer!"

The girl was terrified by Madeline's words, tears welling up in her eyes. The commotion drew the attention of hospital security, who soon arrived and took the girl away, restoring calm to the hospital lobby.

Madeline was both furious and anxious, but her main concern was waiting outside the maternity ward for news about Juniper. She paced the hallway, her heart pounding, worried sick about both Juniper and the baby.

Frantic, Madeline thought of Samuel and quickly called him. "Samuel, are you busy? You need to get to the hospital right now. Juniper was just attacked by a girl, and she pushed her. We don't know if the baby's okay. Please, hurry."

Samuel had just gotten back to work recently, but as soon as he got the call, he was immediately alarmed. Hearing Juniper was in trouble, he dropped everything, quickly informing the director before rushing to the hospital. He found Madeline outside the maternity ward and hurried over.

"Mrs. Hayes, how's Juniper?"

"Samuel, thank goodness you're here." Madeline was so nervous her hands were shaking. Seeing Samuel, she stood up, tears in her eyes, anxiously glancing at the closed surgery room door.

"She's been in surgery for over two hours now. I don't know how she is, and the doctors haven't come out. What about the baby..."

Madeline's words became more jumbled as she spoke. Samuel, though worried, knew he had to calm her down first. Once Madeline's emotions settled, Samuel asked, "Mrs. Hayes, what exactly happened? Everything seemed fine when you came to the hospital this morning. I even checked in with her."

Madeline took a deep breath, calming herself before explaining the situation to Samuel. Samuel frowned deeply, exhaling heavily, feeling frustrated. He hadn't expected a fan to act this way.

Samuel slowly clenched his fist, taking a moment before saying, "Mrs. Hayes, don't worry. I'll take care of this. For now, let's wait for the doctor to come out and update us on Juniper's condition."

Madeline nodded, and the two sat outside waiting. After about ten more minutes, the doctor finally emerged.

Madeline hurriedly approached, her face full of concern. "Doctor, how's my daughter? Is she okay?"
