Chapter 380 Proposal at the Airport

Margaret saw Juniper's expression and felt a mix of emotions, but she still patted Juniper on the shoulder, trying to cheer her up.

Margaret smiled and said, "It's nothing, we're good friends. It's only right for me to take care of him for you. By the way, his right leg has improved after treatment. He can even get out of bed and walk a few steps occasionally. Pryce said that moving around will greatly help his recovery."

Hearing this, Juniper finally felt relieved and nodded with a smile.

However, at the same time, the suppressed sourness in her heart surged up. Her nose tingled, and her eyes felt hot. Not wanting Margaret to notice her change, she quietly turned her head to the side and gently wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with her fingertips.

No matter what, it was good for her that Alden's right leg could recover.

Even if they really broke up, it would be worth it.

Although Juniper felt sad, she knew there was no other way. She held back her tears, grasped Margaret's hand, and pleaded, "Margaret, I want to see him. Can you take me there?"

When Margaret heard this, she suddenly breathed a sigh of relief.

This period had been tough on Juniper, and seeing her good friend like this made her worried. But now that Juniper was willing to go out, it was a good sign.

"Okay, I'll take you." Margaret nodded, let go of her hand, and walked to the door to wait for Juniper.

Juniper followed Margaret out of the hotel, still visibly uneasy. She brushed away the hair blown in front of her eyes and asked worriedly, "Margaret, if I go like this, will Alden refuse to see me?"

Margaret frowned slightly, recalling Alden's condition over the past few days. Besides cooperating with the treatment, he would sometimes stare out the window in a daze.

Although he hadn't mentioned anything, Margaret could guess that he might be missing Juniper.

But she thought about it and decided not to say it out loud. She just shook her head and said, "No, you two have cleared things up. He won't treat you like he did before. Let's go."

Juniper felt relieved. Margaret drove towards the hospital, and Juniper was nervous the whole way, her mind filled with thoughts of Alden.

'What should I say when I see Alden?' Just as she was thinking, her phone in her bag rang.

Juniper took out her phone and saw it was a call from her mother. She adjusted her emotions and answered. "Mom, what's up?"

On the other end, Juniper's mother's weak voice came through. "Hello, Juniper, I'm sick. Can you come back quickly? I miss you so much."

Hearing this, Juniper frowned tightly and quickly shouted into the phone, "Mom, what's wrong? Don't worry, I'll buy a ticket and come back right away!"

Margaret noticed Juniper's reaction and quickly hit the brakes, asking in confusion, "What's wrong?"

Juniper didn't have time to explain to her. After comforting her mother on the phone, she hurriedly hung up and spoke quickly, "Margaret, my mom is sick. I can't go see Alden now. Can you take me to the airport? I need to go see her!"

"Your mom is sick? What happened?" Hearing Juniper's words, Margaret also became anxious. She had met Juniper's parents and liked them very much.

She asked while turning the car towards the airport. Juniper was filled with anxiety. "I don't know either. Why are there so many things happening all of a sudden?"

Under the pressure of multiple issues, Juniper finally couldn't hold back and started crying, her hand pressed against her forehead as if using all her strength.

She had thought she wouldn't be sad anymore.

Margaret was also anxious. She had to drive while trying to comfort Juniper, "Alright, don't cry. Everything will be okay."

On the way, their car overtook most of the vehicles, and they finally reached the airport within twenty minutes.

As soon as the car stopped, Juniper couldn't wait to open the door and run out. Margaret quickly grabbed her bag left in the car and chased after her. "Juniper, your bag!"

She watched Juniper turn back, grab the bag, and rush into the airport hall like a spinning top. Margaret couldn't help but sighed, her eyes filled with worry.

Margaret took out her phone and dialed a number. "Hey, where are you?"

The number she dialed was Samuel's.

Not long after Juniper entered the airport, Samuel's car stopped outside. As he got out, he saw Margaret and, noticing her expression, nodded firmly before running inside.

The airport was crowded, and Samuel kept looking for Juniper. Finally, he saw her sitting on a bench outside the hall.

He tightened his grip on the bouquet and walked through the crowd to Juniper's side. Unexpectedly, he knelt on one knee and presented the bouquet of roses. "Juniper!"

Juniper, preoccupied with her mother's condition, was startled to see Samuel suddenly appear beside her. "Samuel, what are you doing here?"

"I followed you to the airport," Samuel scratched the back of his head and mumbled. Then, as if remembering something, he solemnly extended the bouquet again and said to Juniper, "Juniper, I'm here to propose to you. I know you've been feeling chaotic and avoiding me, but I want to tell you that I'm sincere. I've decided that you're the one I want to marry. Marry me, and let me take care of you, okay?"

The people waiting for their flights around them were all drawn to the couple, watching curiously or in surprise, some even cheering.

Juniper had never experienced such a scene. Or rather, she had imagined it, but the person proposing to her was Alden.

She pressed her lips together, looked at Samuel's passionate gaze, uncomfortably touched her arm, and shook her head. "Sorry, Samuel, I don't want to talk about this now. Besides, what happened between us was an accident. I don't like you."

This was expected by Samuel, but hearing Juniper say it still made him feel a bit disappointed.

The onlookers, sensing the lack of excitement, dispersed.

Juniper had no time to care about Samuel or his feelings. After speaking, she turned her face away, looking at the display board in the airport.

Three hours later, the plane landed at Phoenix City's airport.

Juniper followed the crowd out of the airport. Just as she was about to hail a cab, she saw Samuel at another exit.

Juniper looked at him helplessly. "Why are you..."

Samuel said seriously, "Juniper, I know you won't accept me now, but I'm willing to stay with you."

"Samuel, I told you I really don't like you. What happened between us was an accident," Juniper said, then started walking forward. Seeing his shadow in the corner of her eye, she turned her head and said seriously, "Don't follow me."
