Chapter 224 Reaping What You Sow

"What kinda crap are you spewing?" Angel's face twisted, and she yelled, "How could it possibly be me?"

"Why not?" Margaret's smile turned icy.

"Margaret, you're still playing it cool even when the evidence is all over you!" Angel's fists clenched, her pretty face looking kinda scary. "You've done all this awful stuff, and now you're trying to pin it on me to cover your own butt?"

Margaret raised an eyebrow, speaking slowly, "Evidence? Angel, your so-called evidence is a joke."

"William, I need to bring someone over. The truth will come out then," Margaret said, looking at William.

"Margaret, what game are you playing now?" Angel, panicking, grabbed William's arm. "William, don't listen to her crap. Let's call the cops right now! Margaret needs to pay for what she's done!"

William calmly pulled his arm away, his eyes locked on Margaret as he asked, "Who do you want to bring?"

Margaret smiled. "You'll see soon enough. I'll go get him now."

With that, Margaret headed for the door of the CEO's office. Behind her, Angel's angry voice echoed. "Margaret, are you trying to run away?"

Margaret smirked, thinking Angel had quite the imagination. She decided to let Angel feel smug for a bit longer. Soon, she'd rip off her fake mask!

At the entrance of the Fisher Group, Anthony was already waiting for Margaret. As soon as he saw her, Anthony rushed over and asked, "Ada, how's it going?"

Margaret smiled. "Just as we thought."

Anthony nodded. "I've seen the reports online. Don't worry, I'll help you expose Angel for the fraud she is!"

"Thanks." Margaret shrugged.

Anthony joked, "Honestly, Ada, you're way more badass than me. If you revealed you're the famous hacker Ada, they'd lose their minds."

Margaret shot him a look and smirked. "No thanks, I like my privacy."

Margaret led Anthony to the CEO's office door. Angel was still yapping at William, "William, Margaret's just making an excuse to run. You should send someone after her."

Before Angel could finish, a clear voice cut in, "Who said I ran away?"

Margaret walked into the CEO's office, looking calm and collected. Everyone's eyes landed on the unassuming young man behind Margaret, and they were all a bit stunned. The IT expert was especially excited, stepping forward in awe. "Are you Anthony?"

Anthony, the second-ranked hacker in the world!

Anthony smirked. "Yep, that's me."

Seeing Angel's shocked face, Margaret smirked and walked up to William. "This is the famous hacker Anthony. No need for further introductions, right?"

William nodded at Anthony, his eyes getting more thoughtful as he looked at Margaret.

"Margaret, what are you trying to pull? Even if you brought Anthony, it doesn't change the fact that you leaked the Fisher Group's bid!" Angel snapped.

"Is that so?" Margaret stayed cool, glancing at William. "Anthony can prove I didn't leak the bid."

Margaret's eyes turned icy as she stared down Angel. "He can also prove that the real culprit is you, Angel!"

"Margaret, you're lying!" Angel's face twisted.

"We'll see about that," Margaret said with a smirk. She pointed to the computer and told Anthony, "Go ahead, Anthony."

"Sure thing, Ms. Scott." Anthony got down to business. He sat down, opened the computer, and started typing away.

The CEO's office went dead quiet, except for the sound of Anthony's fingers flying over the keyboard. Angel's eyes were glued to Anthony, her heart pounding. Meanwhile, Margaret was confident. This whole thing had been her game from the start. Now, it was time for Angel to face the music!

A few minutes later, Anthony hit the last key and looked up. "Done!"

"What's the verdict?" Margaret asked calmly.

Anthony pointed to the screen, showing everyone. "The bid was actually sent at 1 AM today, not at 10:30 AM yesterday."

Margaret's voice turned frosty. "Then why did the Fisher Group's IT expert say it was sent at 10:30 AM yesterday?"

Anthony glanced at the IT guy and said bluntly, "Because he's not good enough."

The IT expert started sweating. "I'm sorry, Mr. Fisher, I messed up."

"It's not all your fault." Margaret's face hardened as she looked at the stunned Angel. "Someone tampered with my computer to frame me. Angel, isn't that right?"

Panic flashed in Angel's eyes. How could this be? It was supposed to be a top-level hacker from BPL. How did Anthony crack it so easily?

She took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "That's just your theory."

"Not a chance!" Margaret said coldly, "Someone remotely controlled my computer, sent the data to BPL, and messed with the timestamps to frame me. And you know exactly who it is, Angel."

"What, are you gonna say it's me again?" Angel clenched her fists. "Margaret, stop making stuff up!"

"Making stuff up?" Margaret laughed like she'd heard the funniest joke, her lips curling into a mocking smile. She tossed a stack of photos in front of Angel, her voice icy. "Angel, take a look yourself!"

The photos showed Angel with two burly guys. William's gaze turned serious as he looked at the photos on the floor.
