Chapter 331 A Kiss Without Warning

"Alright," Lyle saw her insistence and sighed slightly, "I just don't want you to get hurt."

"If I got knocked down by a few words from others, do you think I would still be the Margaret I am now?" Margaret said, opening her computer and clicking on the script.

Lyle was about to say something when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in," Margaret said softly.

The door opened, and Juniper, dressed in a black business suit, hurried in.

"Margaret, what's going on with the news online? I'll contact the best PR team for you," Juniper said, pulling out her phone to make a call.

Margaret pressed her hand down and said calmly, "No need."

"Why?" Juniper frowned and thought, 'Couldn't Margaret see how badly people are cursing her online?'

Margaret pulled Juniper over and smiled. "Actually, this is all part of my plan."

"Plan?" Juniper was a bit confused.

Margaret patted Juniper's shoulder. "I won't go into details, but after so many years with me, you should konw my capabilities.

"Alright." Juniper finally felt at ease.

She knew Margaret wouldn't do anything she wasn't confident about. Since she did it, it would be executed perfectly.

But as a friend, seeing those slanderous reports about Margaret online, she was really worried.

Suddenly, her gaze fell on Margaret's computer screen: [The Last Actor.]

"What's this?" Juniper frowned in confusion, looking at Margaret and Lyle.

"This is my new script. It's my favorite one, mainly depicting an actor passionate about acting and the inappropriate feelings that arose in his era."

"This film doesn't need special effects; it's an art film with a short production cycle. As long as Lyle perform well, it will be fine," Margaret said, turning her gaze to Lyle.

Lyle's eyes darkened. "You have the ambition to win an award. If I don't put in the effort to act, wouldn't I be letting down the script you wrote and the film you're directing?"

"Then take a good look at the script these days. It's quite challenging," Margaret said mysteriously, making Lyle very puzzled.

"I have to go now." She glanced at the time; Angel should be waking up soon.

"No way, is Ms. Scott really a mistress?" The company's employees started talking about it when they saw the news.

"And she forced Mr. Fisher's first love to the point of jumping off a building. That first love has terminal cancer and only has a month to live. She's still forcing him. It's just..."

Someone supported Margaret. "What are you all thinking? How is Ms. Scott a homewrecker? She's Mr. Fisher's fiancée."

But soon someone retorted, "So what if she's the fiancée? Is a human life not important? Besides, Angel saved Mr. Fisher. Mr. Fisher said he would marry his savior, not Ms. Scott."

"Exactly, Ms. Scott is just cutting in on their love. The person is already at the end of their rope, and she still wants to get engaged to Mr. Fisher at the end of the month, forcing his first love to death!"

"The engagement's at the end of the month, and Angel have a month to live. Which means they were engaged as soon as Angle died."

Margaret frowned and walked over, speaking coldly, "If I hear anyone talking about non-work-related matters during work hours again, you won't need to come to work anymore!"

Everyone was shocked by Margaret's sudden appearance, gasping and not daring to breathe. "Ms. Scott, we won't do it again."

Margaret drove to the hospital. As soon as she walked in, William pulled her into an empty room.

"What are you doing?" Margaret looked up and met his stern face.

William looked down at Margaret, his eyes filled with jealousy. "You had so much to say to Lyle, and it took so long?"

"Mr. Fisher, we are separated now. If we are seen this close, it won't be good," Margaret said, smiling at his jealous look.

William was really petty. They had agreed it was just an act, but he was really getting jealous. She wasn't even jealous of him and Angel.

William didn't expect her to use such a distant term, and his face darkened. "Margaret, do you know what you're saying?"

"I know," Margaret looked innocent, then added, "Mr. Fisher."

William was completely provoked and forcefully captured her soft lips.

Margaret's eyes widened.

"Alright, Marjorie should be waking up soon. You should go back to the ward!" Margaret pushed William away forcefully, looking at the time. "Don't miss the important things."

William reluctantly let go of Margaret, his tone carrying a warning. "Stay away from Lyle next time."

Margaret was shocked.

William turned and walked to Angel's ward.

"How is Angel?" William asked the doctor indifferently.

"Mr. Fisher, Angel is still unconscious, but she should be fine," the doctor said cautiously, "Luckily, she fell on an air cushion and only suffered minor injuries."

"Okay," William responded.

Fortunately, Angel was fine.

Whether she was really Marjorie or not, William didn't want Angel to die at this moment.

After all, there were still many things unclear.

Even if Angel was a fake Marjorie, he and Margaret had gone to great lengths to find out who was behind her.

If Angel died now, it would be a pity.

While William was deep in thought, Angel on the bed slowly woke up.

The first thing she saw was William's tall and straight figure.

Rubbing her temples, memories slowly returned, and Angel felt a surge of joy.

She remembered standing on the edge of the rooftop, pretending to jump to test William, but accidentally slipped and fell when Margaret shouted at her.

Luckily, she didn't die.

And now, waking up to see William worried about her.

Thinking William did care about her,, she smiled. "William, why are you here?"

"Marjorie, you're awake?" William stepped forward and looked down at Angel.

Angel looked around and weakly said, "William, am I not dead? Didn't I jump? Why am I in the hospital?"

"Marjorie, I won't let you die," William said seriously.

Angel bit her lip. "But if I don't die, Ms. Scott will be angry. I don't want to see you two fighting because of me."

"Don't mention her." William's handsome face showed a trace of impatience.

Angel was secretly delighted, thinking her plan was working, because William was starting to dislike Margaret.

As long as she put in a bit more effort, William would back to her side.
