Chapter 418 Just a Little Bit

To Angel's surprise, the excruciating pain she expected never came.

Abigail stopped right in front of Angel, a smug look on her face. The threats she had just made were merely to scare this naive girl who didn't know her place.

She had a better idea.

Ruining Angel's face was nothing compared to ruining her life.

Angel kept her eyes tightly shut, but she didn't feel any pain. Instead, she heard Abigail's voice above her.

"Scared, huh? If you knew fear, why didn't you think of that earlier? Oh, right, aren't you supposed to marry William?"

Abigail's voice was soft, her thoughts unreadable. Angel, anxious, slowly opened her eyes to see Abigail's smiling face.

Seeing Angel's pale expression, Abigail's smile grew even wider. She clapped her hands twice and called out to the east, "Come on out, guys!"

Angel had no idea what was happening. Instinctively, she looked in the direction Abigail had called. From behind a pillar emerged four or five thuggish-looking men, each with a cocky demeanor. They walked up to Abigail but kept their eyes on Angel, their gazes filled with lewd intent.

"Who... who are you?" Angel stammered, her voice trembling with fear as a sense of foreboding washed over her.

"Is it her?" The front man, a blond with a nasty grin, asked Abigail.

Abigail nodded, a confident smile on her face. "Yep, it's her. Go ahead, she's all yours."

"What are you doing?!" Angel's panic reached its peak as the men closed in on her. She had a terrible feeling about what was going to happen next. Her voice quivered with fear as she questioned Abigail.

Abigail took a few steps back, looking at Angel as if she were a fool. "What am I doing? I'm just fulfilling your wish. Didn't you want a man? Are these enough?"

"Once you're ruined, let's see how you can show your face at your engagement party. Angel, you only have yourself to blame for aiming too high and going after my man!"

"Not only will I ruin you, but I'll also record it and give it to you as an engagement gift. Won't that be nice? Do you like it?"

Abigail's cruelty was evident as she coldly laughed and switched her phone to recording mode, aiming it at Angel and the thugs.

"No, don't come any closer, don't..."

Angel's voice broke with fear and pain, but the thugs ignored her pleas, closing in with sinister smiles.

Margaret checked the time. It was already 6 PM, and the engagement party was about to start.

She was about to get ready when she received a call from Anthony. "What's wrong?"

"Bad news, Ada! I just tracked Angel's location. It looks like she's been kidnapped and taken to an abandoned car factory on the east side of town!"

Margaret heard the urgency in Anthony's voice.

Margaret frowned deeply. "What?!"

Their plan with William was finally coming together after so much preparation. They couldn't afford any mishaps tonight.

Margaret sighed, rubbing her forehead. "Alright, I got it. Keep an eye on Angel's location. I'll figure something out."

She quickly called William, informing him of Angel's kidnapping.

"William, our plan can't be disrupted. Otherwise, everything will be for nothing. You need to go save Angel and make sure she's safe!"

"Got it," William replied seriously. He immediately called his assistant, grabbed his coat, and rushed out of his office, driving towards the outskirts of town.

Margaret clasped her hands tightly. They had worked so long to lure out the "big fish" behind Angel. Their plan couldn't fall apart now, or they'd have to start all over again.

Meanwhile, William gathered a few strong bodyguards, and several cars sped towards the outskirts. His grip on the steering wheel tightened.

"No, don't come any closer, don't!"

Angel's desperate cries and struggles were in vain. One of the men pinned her down, and her tears blurred her vision. She couldn't see who was in front of her, only trying to escape on instinct.

But she was just a woman.

Her clothes were torn off and thrown to the ground. The men touched her body, leaving marks on her chest and neck.

"Please, don't, I'll give you any amount of money, just let me go, let me go!"

Angel's voice was filled with sobs, her cries heart-wrenching. Abigail held up her phone, a cruel smile on her face.

"This is what happens when you cross me!"

"Save your breath. Do you really think anyone's coming to save you? You wanted men, didn't you? You should be happy."

Angel's face was flushed with emotion, her wrists bruised from struggling. She was filled with despair and pain.

A man with a cruel smile was unbuckling his belt, about to assault Angel, when a shout came from the doorway: "Who dares touch her?!"

Abigail froze, turning in disbelief.

William!

How did he get here?

Angel was stunned too, then she smiled with relief, clinging to her last hope. "William, save me, I'm here!"

The thugs barely had time to react before William's bodyguards tackled them, pinning them to the ground. They were no match for the trained guards and were quickly subdued.

Abigail stood frozen, her face pale with fear, unable to move as William approached.

What happened? Steven said no one would find out!

William walked over, glaring at Abigail before kneeling down. He wrapped his coat around Angel, holding her gently and soothingly. "It's okay, you're safe now. I'm here."

Angel's overwhelming fear and despair finally eased. She collapsed into William's arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
