Chapter 309 Angel's Confession

Angel's eyes welled up upon hearing this. Biting her lip, she weakly asked, "Ms. Scott, are you still unwilling to forgive me?"

Before Margaret could respond, she looked pitifully at William.

"William, I know you're still angry with me. I truly realize my mistakes. I shouldn't have been jealous of Ms. Scott, shouldn't have framed her, and shouldn't have disregarded the interests of the Fisher Group. Before coming to the hospital, I have totally reflected on my actions," As Angel spoke, she took out a lucky charm and gently placed it in front of William. "This is a lucky charm. I hope it brings you safety. I don't expect your forgiveness; I just want you to recover soon and see you and Ms. Scott walk down the aisle."

Angel's sincere words were moving.

Margaret sat quietly at the bedside, coldly watching Angel's hypocritical performance.

William's eyes were filled with complex emotions as he finally looked at her directly.

Her wrongdoings were indeed unforgivable, but she was Marjorie. No matter what, she had once saved him at all costs, and his life was given by her.

If Angel truly realized her mistakes and sincerely repented, he could give her a chance to make amends, but he would never let her harm Margaret again.

"I hope you live well in the future," William said indifferently, his eyes showing no emotion.

Facing William's coldness, Angel felt a pang in her heart but still looked delighted. "Thank you, William, for giving me this chance."

"Can we still be friends?" she asked cautiously, her tone tinged with fear.

William's cold eyes narrowed slightly. He glanced at Margaret, seeing her calm expression, and finally nodded.

"I'm so happy, William!" Angel said with pure joy, giving William a deep look. "You two rest well; I won't disturb you anymore."

Her tone was light, and she turned to leave with a crisp step.

The moment she walked out of the ward, Angel's face darkened.

She crused in her head, 'Margaret! You shameless bitch! As long as I am around, you will never take William away!'

Juniper went to Water Moon Estate to get Margaret's computer and was about to head to the ward when she saw Angel walking out with a sinister expression, causing her to pause.

Seeing Juniper, Angel immediately put on a sweet smile. "Ms. Hayes , I came to see William and Ms. Scott."

Juniper nodded indifferently and walked into the ward, ignoring Angel.

As soon as Angel left, Juniper entered, bringing the items Margaret had asked for.

She squinted her eyes, put the items down, and saw bowls in front of William and Margaret. She quickly stepped forward, picked them up, and nervously said, "I just saw Angel. Did she bring these? I'll take them for testing. What if she poisoned them?"

Juniper, having been in the business world for many years, had seen all kinds of dirty tricks.

But she had never seen anyone like Angel, both disgusting and crazy.

She found that any woman entangled with William was never normal; they were all lunatics!

Margaret laughed at Juniper's overreaction. "Don't worry, there's no poison in these bowls."

After a pause, Margaret glared at William. "Do you think Angel would poison her beloved William?"

William remained silent.

He smiled slightly and thought that Margaret's jealousy was quite cute.

Finally relaxed, she handed the computer and fabric to Margaret. "I brought your things. I'll leave now."

Juniper didn't want to stay and be a third wheel.

After Juniper left, Margaret saw William seriously reading some documents and didn't disturb him.

She took out the items Juniper had brought, grabbed a pen and paper, and started designing their engagement outfits.

When Margaret had proposed the engagement, she already had some ideas and inspiration for the outfits.

Once she started drawing, Margaret became engrossed.

When she finally looked up, she saw William sitting in his wheelchair, his deep eyes fixed on her.

"Is this the engagement dress you designed?" William raised an eyebrow, generously praising, "It's beautiful."

Margaret put down her pen, suddenly remembering something, and suspiciously looked at his legs. "Are your legs really paralyzed? You seem more agile than normal."

"Pryce's diagnosis. Do you think I'd lie to you?" William lowered his eyes, the softness in them suddenly disappearing.

He turned his wheelchair around, looking desolate. "If you regret it, I can let you go."

Seeing him like this, Margaret quickly explained, "That's not what I meant. I just wanted to say, if you need anything, just tell me. Don't run around; your legs are injured, and it's inconvenient."

"I just don't want to be a burden," William said, his long eyelashes trembling slightly, looking pitiful.

Margaret wanted to say something but was interrupted by William, "I'm going out for some air. You don't need to worry about me."

With that, William wheeled himself out of the ward.

Margaret, left on the bed, stared blankly at her sketchbook. A strapless evening gown and a suit were already taking shape.

Margaret felt a pang of regret to doubt him, thinking that her words must have hurt William deeply.

He had gone from being a normal person to suddenly becoming disabled, which was already hard for him to accept.

Even though he always acted indifferent, he must be very sad inside.

And she had doubted him.

Margaret felt a mix of emotions, her heart feeling like it was being squeezed by an invisible hand, making it hard to breathe.

She quickly jumped out of bed, enduring the pain in her feet, and went out to find William.

Margaret searched the entire hospital building but couldn't find any trace of William.

Margaret, panting and leaning against the wall, wondered where William had gone.

She searched every floor but couldn't find William. Finally, she went to the rooftop.

Turning her gaze, she saw an empty wheelchair by the edge of the rooftop.

Margaret's eyes widened, her mind going blank. She ran over, finding the wheelchair empty and no one around.

She was sure this was William's wheelchair.

'Could he have accidentally fallen off?' She couldn't help but thought.

Margaret quickly turned and looked down from the rooftop, but it was pitch black, and she couldn't see anything.

"William!" Margaret shouted.
