Chapter 440 A Lifetime, Never Betray
"Really?" Margaret's eyes lit up at William's words. She truly loved the villa, and after seeing the sincerity in William's eyes, she walked over and hugged him.
"Thanks for always thinking of me."
Her voice was soft, but the gratitude and emotion were genuine.
William naturally wrapped his arms around Margaret, his chin resting on the top of her head. He whispered, "You know I'll always give you whatever you want."
"Hey, remember that amusement park we visited? It's still open and has even expanded. Wanna go check it out?"
William suddenly remembered and released Margaret, smiling at her.
Margaret was momentarily stunned, but then her eyes sparkled with excitement. "I remember! That amusement park is still open? Let's go right now!"
The two of them left the villa and drove towards the amusement park. By the time they arrived, it was already dusk in Parislia, and the park was about to close.
"Sorry, folks, the park is closing soon. If you want to visit, please come back tomorrow morning," a man in his thirties or forties said apologetically as he approached them.
"Us?" Hearing this, the two exchanged a knowing glance and laughed. William cleared his throat and asked playfully, "How do you know we're a couple?"
"You two look so perfect together, it's hard not to tell."
The attendant shrugged, giving them a knowing look filled with goodwill. People in Fleurancia were known for their warmth and romance. Margaret responded with a gesture.
She let go of William's hand and instead linked her arm with his, a very affectionate pose.
"Thanks. We're actually getting engaged next month. He's here helping me with some work. By the way, we visited here before and know the Ferris wheel stays open a bit later. How much longer will it be running?"
"About an hour. If you want to ride the Ferris wheel, you can explore the nearby area first. There are many places perfect for couples to visit. You can come back later."
"Great, thank you."
William and Margaret politely thanked the attendant and left to explore the area. Even though they had been here before, everything felt new and exciting.
After walking around for a while, they went to a nearby restaurant for dinner. When the Ferris wheel reopened, William took Margaret back to the amusement park.
Once inside, Margaret's demeanor changed completely. She was like a child, delighted by everything she saw, her face constantly lit up with a smile. When the Ferris wheel started moving, William took Margaret's hand and they boarded.
As the Ferris wheel slowly ascended, fireworks suddenly lit up the sky, capturing their attention. Margaret was surprised but mostly awestruck.
"The fireworks are beautiful."
William watched Margaret's profile, a soft smile on his lips. He whispered, "The fireworks are beautiful, but you're even more beautiful."
"What did you say?" Margaret didn't quite catch his words. She turned to him, puzzled, but before she could ask again, William cupped her face and kissed her.
At that moment, their cabin reached the top of the Ferris wheel.
This kiss was different from any before. Their movements were gentle yet passionate. Margaret's ears turned red, and it was a while before they pulled away. William looked at Margaret's face seriously, holding her hand with utmost sincerity.
"Margaret, I want you to know that I, William, will love only you for the rest of my life, forever and always."
Margaret looked back at him just as seriously, her eyes filled with both laughter and tears.
"I believe you, and I feel the same."
Their hearts grew even closer.
By the time they left the amusement park, it was already nine o'clock. Back at the villa, Margaret collapsed onto the couch. "I'm exhausted, but today was so much fun."
"Seeing you running around, you must be hungry. We didn't eat much at that little restaurant. I'll go make you something to eat."
"Okay."
Margaret agreed with a smile. She watched William head to the kitchen, then looked around and suddenly remembered the design competition. She slapped her forehead and ran to the study, pulling out her laptop to work on her design drafts.
The competition was imminent, and she needed to make sure there were no issues with her designs.
William skillfully started cooking in the kitchen. Despite being the CEO of the Fisher Group and usually very busy, he would cook when necessary, especially now with Margaret. He couldn't let her go hungry.
Although they hadn't stayed at the villa for a long time, after William's notice, the place was spotless, and the fridge was fully stocked. It seemed as if they were planning to live there permanently.
Margaret focused intently on her laptop, tweaking her design drafts. It wasn't until the aroma of food wafted over that she finally relaxed a bit, murmuring to herself.
"Smells so good."
William smiled slightly. When the food was ready, he turned off the stove and brought the dishes to the table, setting everything up for Margaret.
"Alright, you can work on your designs later. Come eat."
Margaret responded with a hum, set her laptop aside, and walked to the table, seeing three dishes laid out.
"Why did you make so much food?"
"I didn't want you to go hungry. These are all your favorites. Come on, sit down and eat."
William didn't seem puzzled or upset. For him, doing this for Margaret was only natural.
Ravenford.
Juniper had been getting up early lately, partly to take care of Samuel at the hospital and partly to prevent any further conflicts between Madeline and Dione.
She never imagined she'd be mediating family disputes one day. Just thinking about it gave her a headache.
After washing up, Juniper returned to her room and, as usual, picked up her phone to check the time. She suddenly remembered that Pryce was arriving in Ravenford today.
