Chapter 281 Last Night, You Invited Me
\
William's heart skipped a beat, and his brows furrowed tightly. He began to scan the surroundings, but there was no sign of Margaret.
"Margaret, Margaret!" His voice carried tension as he called out urgently.
The next second, Margaret's soft and delicate body suddenly clung to his strong back from behind.
Her slender arms wrapped tightly around William's neck from behind. "William, I'm here."
"Why aren't you lying in bed? What are you running around for?" Feeling the burning heat on his back, William's body stiffened, and he scolded in a low, hoarse voice.
Margaret stood on tiptoe, leaning close to his ear, her eyes dreamy, and whispered, "William, I feel so uncomfortable. Can you help me?"
William's large hand holding the towel tightened, his pupils contracted, and he stood there rigidly. He spoke in a deep voice, "Are you sure?"
"Yes." Under the influence of the drug, Margaret hooked his chin, her teeth gently grazing his earlobe, her fair fingers moving down to his Adam's apple.
William found it hard to breathe.
This woman had awakened the deepest desires within him!
In that instant, William lost all reason. He turned around and pressed the drugged, weak Margaret against the door.
He leaned down slightly, looking down at the blushing woman in front of him.
She raised her head, looking at him, making it hard to resist.
"Margaret, you asked for this!" William couldn't hold back any longer. He lowered his head and kissed Margaret's moist red lips.
As their lips met, the already intimate atmosphere in the room reached its peak.
The familiar taste overwhelmed him. William was no longer content to stand by the door. He picked up Margaret's light body and moved to the bed, pressing her down.
Margaret, in a daze, felt like her whole body was on fire. "It feels so uncomfortable. You bully me."
During their lovemaking, her soft nature emerged, and she started to cry.
Tears glistened at the corners of her eyes, and William immediately stopped.
He rolled off the bed, gently covering Margaret with a blanket.
Looking down at his disheveled shirt from their passionate kiss, William stood up with a serious expression, his defined hands straightening his shirt.
Margaret was under the influence of the drug, which was why she acted that way.
How could he do such a thing when Margaret wasn't in her right mind?
William didn't want their first time to be under circumstances where Margaret wasn't willing.
What if Margaret regretted it when she woke up?
William put on his clothes, forcibly suppressing his desires.
He looked down at Margaret, who was now sound asleep.
If it weren't for her swollen lips and the tears still hanging at the corners of her eyes, William might have thought it was all a dream.
William bent down, gently wiping away her tears with a tenderness he hadn't even realized.
Then he picked up the damp towel by the bed and, as Harlan had instructed, carefully wiped Margaret's sleeping body.
The next morning, Margaret's head throbbed with pain.
Margaret groggily opened her eyes, rubbing her temples.
Suddenly, a cold breeze blew in, making her shiver.
Margaret's eyes widened in shock. 'Why is William sleeping next to me?'
Frowning, she began to slowly recall the events of last night.
Margaret remembered attending the crew's dinner party, where Grace had set her and Lyle up, drugging them.
She had exposed Grace, who was then taken away by the police. But the drug's effects continued.
Margaret vaguely remembered that she might have flirted with William.
The ambiguous scenes from last night flashed intermittently in Margaret's mind.
Margaret pulled the blanket tightly around her, her face flushed with embarrassment.
'Oh my, what did I do last night?' As Margaret was lost in thought, William's deep, magnetic voice suddenly sounded in her ear. "You're awake?"
Her thoughts interrupted, and Margaret turned her head to look at William.
He was wearing a shirt, the top buttons undone, revealing his smooth, defined collarbone.
At that moment, he was propping his chin up with his hand, his deep eyes staring intently at her.
"Last night, did we..." Margaret tightened the blanket around her, squinting her beautiful eyes, and asked him warily.
William raised an eyebrow, looking at her with a half-smile. "Last night, I put you to bed, but you insisted on inviting me. I'm a normal man."
His words told Margaret that everything that should have happened, did happen.
Margaret's heart tightened. "You! Scoundrel!"
William spread his hands, a sexy smirk on his lips, and whispered in her ear, "Last night, you were the one who invited me."
His warm breath fell on Margaret's neck like an electric current, making her shiver.
Margaret bit her lip and pondered, 'Did something happen between us last night? But apart from feeling uncomfortable, I don't have any other feeling. It doesn't seem like anything has happened with William?'
Seeing Margaret in a daze, William pretended to be aggrieved and said, "Margaret, shouldn't you take responsibility for me?"
Margaret was shocked.
"In that case, you did help me. Thank you." Margaret raised her chin slightly, almost ready to hand William a wad of cash.
"In that case, I'm at a loss. I need compensation." William's defined hand rubbed his chin.
Margaret glared at him. "What do you want?"
William smiled, teasing her on purpose. "How about you give me Starlight Entertainment as compensation?"
Margaret looked serious. " Mr. Fisher, aren't you afraid of being laughed at for naming a price like that?"
"I'm not afraid of it getting out, but you..." William's deep eyes looked at Margaret, deliberately trailing off.
Margaret raised her head, meeting William's deep gaze. "You dare?"
Seeing her angry expression, William chuckled softly.
He got out of bed, reached out, and ruffled Margaret's hair. "Alright, I'm just teasing you. Get dressed. I made breakfast for you."
So nothing happened between them last night.
