Chapter 311 Bradley Wakes Up
The next day, as soon as Margaret opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was William's incredibly handsome face.
"Margaret, you're awake?" William's eyes were gentle.
Margaret furrowed her brows and spoke coldly, "William, what are you doing in my ward?"
"Apologizing to you, asking for your forgiveness." William's tone was very sincere.
Margaret glared at him angrily, just about to say something when Angel suddenly pushed the door open and came in.
"William, you're here? I just went to your ward and couldn't find you," Angel said in a soft, weak voice, "I made some seafood porridge for you and Ms. Scott. You should try it."
"Okay." William nodded indifferently, watching as Angel busied herself enthusiastically, serving them the porridge and even tidying up the ward.
She was so diligent, it was as if she was truly atoning for her sins.
Suddenly, Angel saw the design sketches on Margaret's bedside table, and her face turned pale for a moment. 'Are these the design sketches for their engagement outfits? Are they getting engaged?'
Angel's heart tightened, jealousy driving her mad, but she picked up the sketches with a calm smile. "Ms. Scott, are these your new designs? They look great."
Margaret naturally knew Angel was asking on purpose.
After all, she and William's plan to get re-engaged hadn't been announced yet, and Angel didn't know.
"Yes, William and I are going to have another engagement ceremony. James is picking a good date for us," Margaret said calmly.
Angel was stunned for a moment, then the jealousy in her eyes was impossible to hide.
Seeing Angel like this, Margaret smiled mockingly.
As expected, Angel was still the same.
All that talk about changing was just an act.
Realizing her loss of composure, Angel quickly looked away, trying hard to hide her jealousy. "Congratulations to both of you."
Then, Angel looked timidly at William. "William, can I attend your engagement party?"
"Do as you please," William said indifferently.
Seeing his cold and distant demeanor, Angel's heart was deeply hurt.
She blamed it all on Margaret, thinking it weren't for Margaret that William couldn't be so cold to her.
Before Angel could respond, there was a sudden knock on the door.
"Come in," William said in a clear voice.
The door opened, and Patterson came in with a few nurses, hurriedly and with a hint of joy in his voice. "Mr. William Fisher, Mr. Bradley Fisher is awake!"
"Really?" William was delighted and quickly stood up.
Angel was stunned. "William, your leg is healed?"
Angel looked puzzled.
But William ignored Angel completely, pulling Margaret straight to Bradley's ward.
Patterson followed behind them, speaking cautiously, "Mr. William Fisher, although Mr. Bradley Fisher is awake, he has only opened his eyes. He can't speak or move yet. Ms. Scott, please diagnose his condition."
"I'll take a look." Margaret nodded.
No matter what, it was good that Bradley could open his eyes.
Pryce had said that they had to wait until Bradley could open his eyes before performing the final acupuncture.
It seemed it would be soon.
Margaret and William hurried to Bradley's ward.
"Grandpa, how are you?" William stepped to the bedside, holding Bradley's hand with concern.
Lying in bed, Bradley blinked but still couldn't move.
"Bradley, let me check you." Margaret bent down and carefully examined Bradley.
"How is my grandpa?" William asked impatiently.
Margaret looked down at Bradley and spoke gently, "Bradley, don't worry. Your recovery is going well. In three days, once all your indicators stabilize, I'll personally perform acupuncture on you, and you'll be just like before."
Hearing this, William breathed a sigh of relief.
Since Margaret said so, Bradley would be fine in three days.
At that moment, the sound of high heels approached the ward.
Margaret looked towards the door and saw Daisy and Abigail walking in.
Margaret stopped them. "What are you doing?"
"Of course, we're here to see my grandpa. Why are you stopping us?" Abigail shouted at Margaret, displeased.
Daisy's face was also very unpleasant. She and Abigail had rushed over as soon as they got the news.
When they arrived, Margaret and William were already in the ward.
They were very anxious on the way, fearing that Bradley might say something. Fortunately, Patterson told them that although Bradley was awake, only his eyes could move.
Abigail and Daisy finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Then they became furious, and Daisy glared at Margaret with hatred.
Margaret smiled faintly, looking at the two scheming women in front of her. "If you want to see Bradley, wait until he recovers in a few days. His body hasn't recovered yet and can't handle too many disturbances."
"You're lying! Why can't we see him? I think you just don't want us to see him!" Abigail pointed at Margaret. "Are you afraid that when he recovers, he'll say something against you, so you're doing this on purpose! Margaret, I won't let you into the Fisher Family! Get out of my way!"
Daisy and Abigail, united in their anger, glared at Margaret. "The affairs of the Fisher Family are none of your business!"
Margaret looked speechlessly at the two women in front of her.
Bradley had just woken up, and he couldn't move his body. He needed careful rest to be ready for the final acupuncture in three days.
Daisy and Abigail's shouting at the door would clearly disturb Bradley.
From the beginning, they had been acting strangely.
Margaret frowned, something flashing through her mind.
"Margaret, you shameless bitch! You're stopping us from seeing my grandpa. Did you do something shady? Are you trying to harm him again?" Abigail pointed at Margaret, cursing incessantly.
William's face grew darker, his eyes filled with anger. "Enough!"
A shout, filled with William's cold anger.
He looked sharply at Daisy and Abigail. "Have you two had enough?"
