Chapter 218 Madly Missing Her

Facing William's somewhat intense gaze, Margaret's breath caught, and she felt a bit awkward. Instinctively, she took a step back.

Suddenly, William reached out, his strong hand wrapping around her waist, pulling her forward with a slight force, causing Margaret to fall into his arms.

"Margaret," William called her name hoarsely. The alluring sight of the woman in front of him made him unable to control himself.

Staring intently at the woman in his arms, William's eyes burned with a fierce flame. He lowered his head and kissed Margaret's enticing red lips without hesitation. Her lips were soft, moist, and sweet. That familiar and tempting sensation made William lose his sanity.

He missed her!

He missed her madly!

Ever since she moved out, he had been thinking about her all the time!

William's domineering and passionate kiss caught Margaret off guard. She felt as if William was taking away her breath, almost suffocating her.

Despite having shared many intimate moments before, none had ever felt as wild and embarrassing as this one to Margaret. Her heart pounded.

Margaret pushed William away forcefully, furrowing her delicate brows, and questioned, "William, what are you doing?"

Sensing Margaret's resistance, William stopped and stared deeply at her.

Margaret changed the subject. "Didn't you say there was an urgent task for the North Bay project?"

"Yes," William finally looked away and said in a deep voice, "Come with me."

With that, William walked towards the study. Margaret hesitated for a moment and followed.

William opened his computer, clicked on an email, and pointed at the screen with his long fingers, saying, "There will be a pre-bid meeting for the North Bay project at 10 AM tomorrow. It will introduce the bidding process. You will go with me."

"That's it?" Margaret glanced at the screen. It was just a meeting; how was that an urgent task?

William smiled and said coldly, "Tomorrow's meeting is very important. Jack, the CEO of BPL, will also attend."

He couldn't wait to meet the mysterious and formidable president.

A man in a gray suit with tan skin flashed through Margaret's mind, and she narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Alright, I got it." Margaret nodded. "I'll be there on time tomorrow. If there's nothing else, I'll leave now."

With that, Margaret turned and walked towards the study door.

"Margaret." William suddenly stood up, took a step, and blocked her way.

Margaret pressed her lips together. "What else?"

"It's already very late. Stay here tonight," William said, looking at Margaret with deep eyes.

Margaret shook her head and refused. "I'd better go back."

The kiss earlier had left Margaret a bit worried.

Seeing the wary look on the woman's face, William's handsome face darkened. "Don't worry, I promise I won't do anything to you."

"Alright then." Margaret no longer insisted. She felt a bit tired and wanted to rest early.

Back in the guest room, lying on the familiar bed, Margaret's thoughts were a bit scattered. Everything here was the same, but her state of mind was completely different.

William's actions tonight made Margaret feel like they had gone back to the past. But Angel was always an insurmountable chasm between them.

Margaret rubbed her temples, picturing Angel's deceitful face. Maybe she could provoke Angel, make her lose control and take action. As long as Angel made a move, Margaret was confident she could find her flaw and expose this deceitful woman!

That night, with her mind full of thoughts, Margaret didn't sleep well. The next day, she woke up with dark circles under her eyes, quickly washed up, and went downstairs.

Downstairs, the aroma of breakfast wafted through the air. Margaret looked towards the kitchen and saw William making breakfast.

The scene was so familiar. Once, William had told her, "Margaret, as long as you like, I'm willing to make breakfast for you every day, for a lifetime."

The words still echoed in her ears, and Margaret's heart stirred slightly.

"Margaret, you're up?" William heard footsteps and looked back at Margaret. His deep eyes were gentle, a look he only had in front of Margaret.

"Yes." Margaret snapped out of her thoughts and nodded lightly.

"Wait a moment, breakfast will be ready soon," William said with a slight smile.

A few minutes later, William brought breakfast to the table, placing a bit of everything on Margaret's plate, and said in a deep voice, "Margaret, try it."

"Thank you," Margaret said, looking down at the plate filled with all her favorite breakfast items. She picked up a fork and started eating heartily. The familiar taste suited her palate perfectly.

As Margaret focused on her breakfast, William's large hand suddenly reached towards her lips. Startled, Margaret looked up. "What are you doing?"

"Don't move." William chuckled. "You have some grease on your lips. Let me wipe it off."

So that was what it was, Margaret felt a bit embarrassed.

The warmth of William's fingertips on her lips sent a tingling sensation through her body, like an electric current flowing through every cell.

Just then, the doorbell rang, breaking the cozy atmosphere. "William, are you there?" Angel's voice came through.

Hearing Angel's voice, William frowned.

The doorbell kept ringing. William stood up and walked to the door. Opening the door, he saw Angel holding a thermos, smiling brightly. "William, I'm glad you're home. I made breakfast and brought it over for you."

Before she could finish, Angel saw Margaret sitting in the dining room, and her smile froze. "Margaret, why is she here?"

Sensing Angel's hostility, Margaret's heart stirred. She stood up, walked to William's side, and raised an eyebrow. "Why can't I be here?"

Angel looked at William, then at Margaret, biting her lip. "You two! You two..."

Margaret hooked her arm around William's, a faint smile on her lips. "I spent the night here yesterday."
