Similar tags about Samuel's proposal quickly multiplied, occupying several spots in the top ten trending topics. Photos of Samuel proposing to Juniper at the airport flooded the platform, with the topic's popularity continuing to soar.

Samuel's female fans were wailing in the comments, but most fans remained optimistic and supportive. After all, Samuel wasn't famous for his looks, and with so much negative news about celebrities lately, they preferred to see their idol openly pursuing love.

Samuel's phone had already received five or six calls from his agent, but he was currently having dinner at Juniper's house and couldn't be bothered with anything else.

At hospital, Alden lay in his ward, bored, scrolling through trending topics on his phone. When he saw Samuel's tag, he had a bad feeling.

When he clicked on it, he saw photos of Samuel proposing to Juniper at Ravenford Airport.

Although the photo was taken from a tricky angle, it was clear enough. Alden zoomed in and saw Juniper's face.

His eyes widened, but his heart sank.

Thinking Juniper had fallen for someone else, so she suddenly agreed to break up with him.

Alden stared at the photo on his phone, finding Samuel's gesture of holding a bouquet particularly jarring and somewhat ironic.

His gaze fell to his bandaged right leg, and he felt a tangled mess of emotions, but in the end, he could only swallow his words and sigh, "Forget it, I can't drag her down like this."

"Keep calling Samuel, and notify the PR department to suppress this news. Until we get Samuel's stance, the most important thing is to bury this news!" Margaret stared seriously at her computer and said into the phone.

She knew Samuel had liked Juniper for a long time, but if Juniper saw her private life splashed across entertainment news, she would be very upset.

It had been six or seven days since Jack called Angel about the North Bay project plan, and Angel was still anxious. But lately, whenever William came home, he either locked himself in his study or avoided talking about work. Even when Angel brought it up, William would change the subject.

One day, while Angel was at her wit's end, she received another call from Jack.

"How's it going?" Jack's voice sounded cold and commanding. "It's been seven days. When will you get me the plan?"

Angel frowned. For years, Jack's voice had always instilled a sense of fear in her, making her inexplicably nervous. "Sorry, Jack, give me a little more time. I've been bringing it up with William, but he keeps changing the subject, and I can't get into the study. Just wait a bit longer."

"You better get it done fast." Jack's voice grew heavier, carrying an undeniable authority. "Angel, you may have the patience to drag this out with William, but I don't. I'll give you three more days. If I don't see the plan, you know the consequences."

Jack hung up, and the dial tone echoed in Angel's ear.

Angel anxiously put down her phone, frowning at Jack's words. He had been calling her frequently, sometimes even when William was home. If she hadn't been quick to brush him off, someone might have noticed something by now.

Therefore, shehad to marry William quickly, no matter what it took.

When William came home that evening, he saw Angel in the kitchen, wearing a black lace nightgown that accentuated her curves.

He frowned slightly, knowing exactly what she was up to.

Realizing her tricks, William thought for a moment, then walked over to the couch , grabbed a light jacket, and draped it over Angel. "Why are you wearing so little? Be careful not to catch a cold."

"William." Angel's face lit up with a smile when she saw him. She took William's hand and slowly placed it on her waist. "Why are you so late? I wasn't feeling well, so I got up. You've been at the office all the time; I miss you."

She turned off the stove and gently wrapped her arms around William's waist, resting her head on his shoulder.

William glanced at her and subtly stepped back, putting some distance between them. "I just got back. Let me change my clothes first. Put on the jacket; you don't want to catch a cold."

He turned and went upstairs. Angel watched his back, feeling somewhat dissatisfied.

At 11:30 PM, Angel finally fell asleep. William went to the living room, quietly opened the bedroom door to check on her, and seeing that she was still asleep, he sighed in relief.

He had been dealing with her for days and hadn't seen Margaret in a long time. He missed her.

Margaret was asleep when she was suddenly awakened by a rustling noise in the living room. She frowned and opened her eyes, feeling alert but not daring to make a move.

She couldn't help but thought, 'Who would come to my house at this hour? A thief?'

Margaret frowned, quietly got out of bed, and after the noise in the living room stopped, she grabbed a chair by the door and cautiously opened it.

Seeing a figure in the living room, she raised the chair, ready to strike. "Who dares to come into my house."

"It's me." The voice startled her, and the living room light turned on. Standing before her was William, smiling at her.

Margaret was stunned and slowly lowered the chair. "William? What are you doing here?"
