Chapter 329 The Show Must Go On

The nurses and doctors were terrified and nervously urged William, "Mr. Fisher, say something to give Angel the will to live. As for everything else, we can discuss it once she's safe!"

"William, if you say anything, we're done for!" Margaret said coldly, her tone merciless.

A nearby nurse looked extremely displeased. "Ms. Scott, this is a human life we're talking about. How can you be so heartless?"

"So, should I just let her take my fiancé away like this?" Margaret retorted bluntly.

The nurse was left speechless.

Angel stood there, devastated, not expecting Margaret to be so tough.

She clenched her fists secretly and cursed in her head, 'That bitch Margaret is clearly provoking me. Damn it, I have to win!'

Angel bit her lip and prepared to move closer to the edge, giving William the biggest shock.

She didn't believe that William could just watch her fall.

After all, she was Marjorie.

The girl who had saved him eight years ago.

Even if William didn't love her, he owed her.

Thinking of this, Angel took a deep breath and moved closer to the edge of the rooftop, her eyes red and filled with tears. "William, I'm sorry. I don't want to burden you anymore. I hope in the next life, you will truly love me, and only me."

Seeing Angel about to fall, William took a long stride forward. "Marjorie, come down."

"No, I don't want to make things difficult for you, William. I don't want to affect your relationship with Ms. Scott because of me." Angel bit her pale lips, crying pitifully, making anyone who saw her feel sorry for her.

William frowned, his deep eyes looking at Margaret. He said slightly. "Margaret, let Marjorie be. She only has a month left. Let's postpone our engagement and let me spend this time with her."

"Spend time with her?" Margaret sneered. "William, you must be joking. Angel throws a tantrum, and you waver? Or have you never forgotten her? Of course, she's Marjorie, the Marjorie you've always thought about. You still like her deep down. If that's the case, why did you get engaged to me? You don't deserve it!"

"Margaret, can you stop being unreasonable?" William's handsome face was tense, his eyes cold.

"Unreasonable? William, you're something else!" Margaret glared at William. "Since you only have Marjorie in your heart, fine, let's break up!"

Seeing Margaret and William arguing fiercely, a barely noticeable look of satisfaction flashed in Angel's eyes.

It seemed her plan was working.

William did have feelings for her.

Otherwise, he wouldn't be arguing with Margaret because of her.

And now, with so many people watching, everyone saw how heartless Margaret was. Public opinion would crush her.

Thinking of this, Angel hid her smugness and spoke pitifully, "William, I'm sorry. Don't argue because of me."

Before Angel finished speaking, Margaret sneered. "Angel, weren't you going to jump? Go ahead and jump!"

Angel's face changed.

She cursed in her head, 'That shameless bitch Margaret, does she really want to force me to jump?'

"What? Scared? Or were you just acting?" Margaret pointed at Angel, her voice cold.

"No, it's not like that, Ms. Scott. I know you hate me, you despise me. Don't worry, I'll be dead soon, and then William will only have you in his heart!" Angel wiped her tears, her eyes on William.

She was betting that William wouldn't watch her jump, that he would save her.

"Well, thank you very much," Margaret mocked.

As soon as she finished speaking, Angel suddenly screamed from the edge of the rooftop.

Angel's thin body fell, and screams erupted from below.

Margaret was stunned for a moment. 'Does she really jump? She is really something.'

As Angel fell, her mind went blank.

She had just slipped, who knew she would really fall.

She didn't want to die.

Filled with unwillingness, Angel fell quickly.

With a thud, she landed on an air cushion and passed out.

The doctors and nurses on the rooftop were stunned for a few seconds before rushing down, leaving only William and Margaret.

"Nice performance. I'll consider giving you a role in my next movie." Margaret smiled at William.

William raised an eyebrow. "I'll think about it."

"Where's Peter?" Margaret looked around.

William coughed, and Peter immediately came out with a phone.

He didn't mean to eavesdrop on their flirting; Margaret had assigned him to follow and monitor Angel.

Peter wanted to express that as a single guy, he was envious of his boss's love life.

"Did you get it all?" Margaret asked Peter.

Peter nodded.

"Post it on Facebook at midnight, and make sure to tag me, Angel, and William. It'll definitely go viral." Margaret's eyes sparkled. "The trending topic will be 'Margaret forced William's first love to death.' Exciting!"

"Aren't you afraid of being attacked and cursed?" William ruffled her hair, his voice full of affection.

"It's not like I haven't been cursed before." Margaret had planned everything. Angel just wanted to blow things up and use moral pressure against her.

So she would push it further, help her out, and when it reached its peak, she would expose Angel's true colors, crushing her completely.

Her reputation would turn around, and people would feel guilty towards her. She would then use this wave of popularity to promote Starlight Entertainment's new movie.

"Let's go down. It's windy up here, and the show must go on." William took advantage of Margaret's distraction and kissed her cheek.

Margaret glared at him. "Shameless!"

William chuckled, and they walked downstairs together.

Leaving Peter standing there, dumbfounded.

Downstairs, the hospital was in chaos. When Angel accidentally fell, the police had just arrived and set up a safety cushion.

Doctors were rushing the unconscious Angel to emergency care.

A group of reporters had also arrived, quickly snapping photos of Angel's miserable state, just as Margaret ran out of the hospital in anger, with William following, exuding a cold aura.
