Chapter 337 Margaret Must Not Be Wronged
"What? You're kicking me out?" Margaret's eyes widened in disbelief. "William, are you so ungrateful? Don't forget who cured Bradley! Without me, would Bradley have recovered so quickly and been discharged today?"
"Really? If it weren't for you, my grandfather wouldn't have fallen ill in the first place," William said coldly, his handsome face full of impatience. "Aren't you leaving yet?"
"So, you're determined to defend Angel today?" Margaret's beautiful eyes were filled with anger.
Bradley's discharge was a big event, and many reporters had already gathered at the hospital entrance. At this moment, they broke through the crowd and rushed towards the hospital bed.
Seeing that the timing was right, the reporters gathered around. Angel smiled slightly, took a step forward, and said pretentiously, "Ms. Scott, that's not right. How could I be mistress?I knew William long before you did. William and I have known and loved each other for eight years. He said he would marry me. Strictly speaking, you are the one intruding between William and me."
"Angel, you're almost dead, and you still want to take William from me?" Margaret crossed her arms and glared angrily at Angel.
"Enough! Margaret, you disappoint me!" William's face turned livid. He said to the bodyguard beside him, "Get her out of here!"
"No need to kick me out, I'll leave myself!" Margaret said angrily, turning to leave.
The reporters swarmed around her. "Ms. Scott, Angel accuses you of being mistress. What do you have to say about that?"
"Mr. Fisher kicked you out. Does that mean he has chosen Angel?"
"Ms. Scott, will your engagement to Mr. Fisher be canceled again?"
Facing the reporters' onslaught, Margaret coldly replied, "No comment!"
In the ward, Angel saw Margaret leave in a huff and a barely noticeable victorious smile appeared on her lips.
On the surface, she said with great concern, "William, Ms. Scott seems angry. What should we do? I didn't mean to confront her just now, but she insulted me so badly, I couldn't hold back."
William glanced at her indifferently. "Don't mention her anymore. Marjorie, you must be tired. Go back to your ward and rest. I'll take my grandfather home."
"Okay, Bradley, I wish you good health," Angel said with a sweet smile to Bradley.
Bradley smiled faintly.
William then had someone escort Angel back to her ward.
Reporters were already waiting at the door of her ward.
As soon as they saw Angel, the reporters excitedly approached and began interviewing her.
"Angel, what is your current relationship with Mr. Fisher?"
Angel smiled shyly. "You all saw it. William and I are, of course, in a romantic relationship."
"But Ms. Scott just accused you of being mistress. What do you have to say about that?" a reporter pointed out.
Angel smiled. "That's completely her slandering me. I am William's first love, everyone knows that. How could I be mistress?"
"Angel, you make a good point, but Ms. Scott is Mr. Fisher's fiancée, which is also a fact," the reporter pressed. "It's said that youcome from an ordinary background, which is not a good match for the Fisher Family, while Ms. Scott has a distinguished status as the CEO of Starlight Entertainment. Angel, do you feel any pressure?"
"William just loves me, not my background. How can love involve anything else?" Angel pursed her lips, hiding the jealousy in her heart.
So what if her background was ordinary? As long as she married William, she would be the richest woman in the world. Margaret was nothing.
The reporter then asked another gossipy question, "By the way, Angel, it's rumored that you have a terminal illness. Given your health condition, how long can you stay by Mr. Fisher's side?"
"With today's advanced medicine, I believe I will recover. As for staying by William's side, of course, I will be with him for a lifetime," Angel said with a happy smile.
Now, she was pretending to have late-stage stomach cancer and had successfully made William dislike Margaret. As long as she pushed a little harder and completely broke William and Margaret apart, she wouldn't have to pretend to be sick anymore.
After all, with today's advanced medicine, curing stomach cancer was not surprising.
The final winner could only be her.
In the car, William and Bradley sat in the back seat.
"Grandpa, we're almost at home," William said, glancing at the spirited Bradley, feeling pleased.
During the days Bradley was ill, he hadn't slept well, worried that Bradley would leave him.
Now that Bradley had finally recovered, his tense heart had calmed down.
"Finally home," Bradley said, looking at the familiar scenery outside the window, feeling a bit emotional. "This time, it's all thanks to Margaret. Without her, I might never have come back."
"Grandpa, what are you talking about? You were just lucky," William quickly said.
"By the way, what's going on between you and Margaret?" Bradley couldn't help but asked, thinking about what had happened in the ward. "Were you two putting on a show for the reporters?"
Bradley had immediately seen through it. William and Margaret had deliberately argued in front of everyone.
They must have had their reasons for doing so.
If he guessed correctly, it had something to do with Angel.
William nodded. "Nothing escapes your eyes."
Bradley stroked his beard and laughed heartily. "I've been through far more than you."
After a pause, he added, "I won't interfere in your young people's affairs. But remember one thing: no matter what you do, don't wrong Margaret."
William readily agreed. "Get it."
Soon, the driver stopped the car at the entrance of the Fisher Mansion and respectfully said, "We're here."
James had already gathered all the servants at the door to welcome Bradley back.
"Mr. Fisher, you're finally discharged," James said, a smile spreading across his face as he stepped forward to support Bradley.
Bradley patted James on the shoulder. "James, it's been hard on you during my illness."
James quickly said, "It's my duty. If it weren't for you taking me in back then, I would have..."
"Enough, why bring up old matters?" Bradley frowned slightly, interrupting James. He glanced at William. "William, you're busy with work. You should head back to the company."
