Chapter 292 William Showed Up Suddenly

At this moment, the sky had already darkened, and the uneasy feeling in William's heart grew stronger.

Margaret wasn't the type of person to leave things unresolved; she wouldn't disappear without a reason.

William had a strong, inexplicable premonition that something had happened to Margaret.

He quickly dialed Peter's number. "Help me track Margaret's whereabouts!"

"Yes, Mr. Fisher." Peter agreed immediately.

A few minutes later, Peter called William back. "Mr. Fisher, we checked the surveillance, and Ms. Scott's car is acting strangely."

"Strangely?" William frowned.

"Yes, she ran several red lights," Peter answered truthfully.

From the surveillance footage, Margaret's car was driving erratically, running red lights and heading towards the outskirts.

After that, it entered a blind spot, so where Margaret's car went next was still unknown.

"Gather all the bodyguards of the Fisher Family as quickly as possible. We must find Margaret!" William ordered, his handsome face tense.

Facing the relentless attacks from the men in black, Margaret gritted her teeth.

She had already been feeling unwell due to a cold these past few days, and now, facing Leander's overwhelming numbers, Margaret was struggling to hold on.

She thought that she couldn't keep fighting them head-on.

She had to find a way to escape quickly.

Margaret furrowed her brows and thought for a few seconds, then came up with an idea.

'Capture the leader first,' she thought. If she could find a way to take Leander hostage, she could win without a fight.

But she was surrounded by so many people that she couldn't get close to Leander.

She had to find a way to lure Leander over.

With this in mind, Margaret pretended to weaken, letting the steel pipe in her hand fall to the ground, and leaned against the wall, slowly collapsing.

"Mr. Prescott, this woman is done for!" Leander's subordinate shouted excitedly upon seeing this.

Leander threw his cigarette butt on the ground and stomped on it, looking at the pale-faced Margaret.

If Margaret hadn't offended Mia, Leander might have admired her.

Leander was about to check if Margaret was dead when he suddenly saw strong headlights sweeping over from a distance.

He looked up and saw a dozen black cars driving over, blocking the road.

Then, a group of black-clad bodyguards got out of the cars, outnumbering his men several times over!

"Who are you?" Leander's expression turned serious, and he no longer cared about Margaret.

Lying on the ground pretending to be unconscious, Margaret opened her eyes and looked towards the lights.

The well-trained black-clad bodyguards stood in two neat rows.

William walked out from the crowd with steady steps, exuding a powerful and terrifying aura that made people tremble.

Margaret looked at the man walking towards her in disbelief, a mix of shock, joy, happiness, and excitement filling her heart. 'Isn't William on a business trip to Novastates? How could he suddenly appear here?'

Margaret leaned against the wall and struggled to stand up, rubbing her eyes.

The bright moonlight shone on William, giving him a golden glow.

He seemed like a god descending from the heavens, walking step by step towards Margaret.

With strong, powerful arms, he lifted Margaret horizontally and whispered in her ear, "Margaret, don't be afraid. I'm here."

Falling into his strong embrace again and hearing that familiar voice, Margaret felt a sense of disorientation.

Just when she thought she was done for, William appeared once again, risking everything to save her!

Margaret leaned against William's chest, her voice weak. "William, why are you here? Am I dreaming?"

Seeing the woman in his arms pale, with bruises covering her skin and blood seeping from her wounds, William felt his heart ache as if it were being squeezed by a giant hand, making it hard to breathe!

He gently kissed Margaret's forehead, comforting her, "Silly, how could this be a dream? I'll take you to the hospital right away."

Leander stood dumbfounded, watching William pick up Margaret. "Mr. Fisher?"

He never expected that tonight's events would alarm William.

Although there were rumors that William and Margaret had an unusual relationship, it was a fact that Margaret and William had long since broken off their engagement.

Moreover, Mia had told him that William didn't like Margaret at all, that Margaret was clinging to William shamelessly.

She was seducing Lyle while entangling with William, a fickle woman.

William hated Margaret!

But now, William was so worried about Margaret.

Leander knew well what happened to anyone who offended William.

Leander regretted deeply; this time, he had really been screwed over by Mia!

William's cold, sharp gaze was like a dagger, piercing straight at Leander. "Do you think you can bully my woman?"

Under William's gaze, Leander, who was usually fearless, felt his legs go weak.

"Mr. Fisher, I didn't know Ms. Scott was your woman," Leander said, trembling and forcing a smile.

William, fierce as a grim reaper, kicked Leander hard in the knee.

He gritted his teeth in anger. "If anything happens to Margaret, I'll kill your whole family!"

Leander's legs gave out, and he kept apologizing, "Mr. Fisher, today's incident is a complete misunderstanding."

William ignored him and carried Margaret towards the car.

He turned his head and looked at Peter with a blank expression, coldly instructing him, "You know what to do next, right?"

"Yes, Mr. Fisher!" Peter's expression turned serious, and he immediately directed the bodyguards to arrest Leander and his men and take them to the police station.

William carefully placed Margaret in the car and ordered the driver, "To the hospital!"

"William, thank you," Margaret said weakly, lying in William's arms, her wounds aching.

Before she could finish her sentence, everything went black, and she fainted.

Faintly, she heard William's anxious and concerned voice. "Margaret, Margaret, what's wrong?"
