Chapter 313 Margaret, you have really disappointed me.

The air was heavy and silent at this moment; no one present dared to take a deep breath.

No one could believe that Bradley Fisher, had just passed away like that.

Margaret walked out of the operating room, exhausted. She took off her mask and looked at William with deep regret. "I'm sorry. I didn't expect Bradley to die. I did everything right, but still..."

Margaret's voice trembled, her eyes red with guilt. She wanted to walk towards William but stopped in her tracks.

"You have promised you were absolutely sure you could save my grandpa!" William, who had been silent, finally spoke. He lifted his cold eyes to look at her, a storm brewing in his gaze. "Margaret, you've really let me down."

"I'm sorry, it's my fault. I really didn't expect this," Margaret kept apologizing, her usually confident face now pale and bloodless, making her look pitiful.

Abigail saw Margaret trying to explain and interrupted her. This was a perfect opportunity to kick someone when they were down, and she wouldn't miss it.

Especially now, with William looking so disappointed in Margaret, she had to fan the flames and make his hatred burn even stronger.

"Margaret, this is all your fault. If you hadn't insisted on trying acupuncture on my grandpa, he might still be alive. But now, because of you, he is dead. You're the murderer who killed him!" Abigail accused Margaret, pushing all the blame onto her. "Margaret, you shameless bitch! You're a murderer! When you got engaged to William, so many people came to the engagement party, and you announced the cancellation of the engagement on the spot, making the Fisher Family lose face. You even angered my grandpa into having a heart attack and falling into a coma. Now you've killed him. I think you did it on purpose!"

Daisy was even angrier. She scolded Margaret to William, "I told you before, this woman is unreliable. She didn't even graduate from a proper medical school. The Pryce she mentioned who could save your grandpa was just a coincidence, all a bunch of frauds. Now look what happened!"

William's cold, indifferent gaze fell on Margaret. "You killed my grandpa."

"It was an accident. Don't you believe me?" Margaret's eyes were filled with hurt, her arms falling weakly to her sides.

The atmosphere between them was tense. Angel suppressed her schadenfreude and quickly spoke up, "Margaret surely didn't do it on purpose. She might have been too nervous during the surgery, which led to this mistake. She definitely didn't mean to harm Bradley."

Angel's words seemed to defend Margaret but actually added fuel to the fire, suggesting to William that Margaret hadn't taken the surgery seriously, leading to the tragedy.

"William, call the cop. This woman must have intentionally killed Grandpa!" Abigail's eyes were blazing. "Ever since she came to the Fisher Family, nothing good has happened. She's a jinx."

"She killed Bradley. This can't just be let go." Daisy was also agitated and resentful.

Margaret clenched her fists and looked at them. "I didn't kill Bradley. Someone poisoned him!"

Her sudden statement left everyone stunned, not understanding why she would say that.

The others were shocked, but Daisy and Abigail were momentarily horrified after hearing her words.

Abigail was the first to shout, "I think you're just trying to shirk your responsibility by saying that. There were so many people during the surgery; how could anyone have poisoned him?"

"Margaret, don't think you can escape responsibility like this. You killed Bradley. I will definitely seek justice for him and make sure you end up in jail, paying the price!" Daisy spoke righteously, taking out her phone to call the police.

"William, do you believe me?" Margaret, being accused by them, furrowed her brows and quietly looked at William, hoping he would give her an answer.

"Now that my grandpa is dead because of you, does it still matter if I believe you?" William's voice was filled with seriousness. He turned his head away, not looking at her, clearly agreeing with Daisy's actions.

This made Abigail and Daisy overjoyed. William's stance clearly showed he had given up on Margaret for Bradley.

She had been so arrogant and confident before, claiming she would definitely cure Bradley. Now she was reaping what she had sown.

If it weren't for the presence of so many people, Abigail and Daisy would have laughed out loud.

Not only were they happy, but Angel was also excited.

Margaret had killed Bradley, so William would definitely not love her anymore. With more time spent by William's side, he would surely fall in love with her again. After all, she was Marjorie!

"William, it seems your feelings for me are just that shallow. From now on, we're done!" Margaret said decisively.

"Even if you don't end it, we will. A woman as malicious as you doesn't deserve William!" Abigail looked at Margaret with disdain.

Margaret shot a cold glance at Abigail, who immediately shut her mouth in fear.

Seven or eight police officers walked over. The leading officer showed his badge, his stern face scanning the crowd as he spoke, "We received a report that someone here committed murder. What's going on?"

Daisy quickly walked over. "I called."

She pointed angrily at Margaret. "This woman claimed she could use alternative medicine to save my father-in-law but ended up killing him! Arrest her immediately!"

"Then, Miss, please come with us to the police station." The officer walked towards Margaret coldly.

Margaret didn't resist. Under the gloating gazes of Abigail, Daisy, and Angel, she was taken away by the police.

Before leaving, Margaret looked at the silent William, opened her mouth as if to say something, but stopped. Then she turned her gaze to Abigail, Daisy, and Angel.

"William, for the sake of our past love, I advise you, if you don't want to betray Bradley's years of care and love for you, you should perform an autopsy on his body to see if he was poisoned."

"You're so hypocritical!" Abigail sneered, but inside she was nervous, worried that Margaret might have actually discovered something. "William, don't listen to that bitch Margaret. Grandpa has died. If you keep performing an autopsy on his body, people will say we're ungrateful."
