Chapter 327 The End of the Month is a Good Day
As soon as marriage was mentioned, James looked relieved. "The two engagement is almost here. I came this time to find someone to pick a good date. The best day is at the end of this month, so they can get engaged!"
Hearing about the engagement, Bradley was so happy he couldn't close his mouth. "That's great! If they get engaged, the wedding won't be far off."
Margaret instinctively glanced at William, only to meet his eyes filled with tenderness.
"Margaret, leave the engagement arrangements to us. You don't need to worry about anything else," Bradley, worried something might go wrong, reminded Margaret.
"Don't worry, Bradley. We'll do everything right this time," Margaret knew that her sudden announcement to break off the engagement last time had probably left a shadow in Bradley's heart.
With these words, Bradley felt reassured.
Angel originally came to Bradley's ward to gain sympathy. When she reached the door, she happened to hear their conversation and clenched her fists in anger.
With that Bradley around, no matter how many misunderstandings she created between Margaret and William, Bradley would always resolve them.
They had just been arguing so fiercely, but as soon as they got to Bradley, everything was resolved, and they were even happily discussing the engagement.
She crused in her head, 'Margaret, that bitch, how does she manage to make Bradley so happy? William is mine!'
She would never let that Margaret steal William away.
Angel thought hatefully, carefully turned around, and returned to her own ward.
Margaret seemed to see a figure flash by the door and squinted her eyes slightly.
If she wasn't mistaken, the person at the door just now was Angel.
Just diagnosed with late-stage stomach cancer and still running around, how ridiculous.
"What are you looking at?" William frowned and asked when he saw Margaret's gaze fixed on the door.
Margaret shook her head. "Nothing."
"Then it's settled. The engagement will be at the end of this month." Bradley looked at Margaret and then at William.
"Everything is up to you, Grandpa. I have no objections," William said slightly.
This time, his engagement ceremony had to be perfect.
He had to give Margaret a grand, magnificent, and unique engagement ceremony.
After sending Margaret back to her apartment, William drove back to the Fisher Mansion.
He hadn't been back for a long time.
"Mr. Fisher," Nora greeted respectfully.
William nodded slightly and walked up to the second floor.
In the room on the second floor, Daisy and Abigail were extremely anxious.
Since their plot was exposed by Margaret that day, William had the bodyguards bring them back to the Fisher Mansion and put them under house arrest.
Daisy looked worried. "Abigail, do you think William will be so heartless as to keep us locked up forever?"
"You're his biological mother! Once he calms down, he'll let us out," Abigail comforted.
Daisy sighed, "I hope so."
"It's all that bitch Margaret's fault!" Abigail's eyes burned with jealousy at the mention of Margaret. "If it weren't for her, William wouldn't treat us like this!"
"You're right, Abigail!" Daisy nodded in agreement. "Ever since Margaret came, the Fisher Family has been a mess. I don't know what's so good about that bitch! William doesn't even see me as his mother anymore!"
"Exactly!" Abigail gritted her teeth. "If that bitch Margaret really marries William, we'll be locked up forever!"
"No way! I will never agree to let William marry Margaret!" Daisy said angrily.
Thinking about Margaret, Daisy's fingers clenched tightly.
She couldn't imagine if one day Margaret really married into the Fisher Family, she would rather die.
Margaret would definitely instigate William to go against her.
Daisy took a deep breath. She would never allow that to happen!
"Don't be angry. I'll get you a glass of water." Abigail pretended to be obedient.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw William's tall and upright figure.
Abigail was stunned, then spoke with great joy, "William."
Since they were put under house arrest, William hadn't come to see them, not even answering their calls.
Now that William was here, did it mean he had calmed down?
Daisy was also delighted to hear the voice. "William, you're here?"
William stepped into the room and said coldly, "I'm here to inform you that Margaret and I are getting engaged."
"What?" Daisy and Abigail exclaimed in shock.
"I don't agree!" Daisy objected sharply.
William's cold gaze fell on Daisy, "What I decide, no one can change."
"William, what's so good about Margaret? Why do you have to go against me?" Daisy was furious. "You even locked up Abigail and me for her! We are your real family!"
William frowned, smiled mockingly. "Family? Isn't Grandpa your family? You poisoned him for your own selfish reasons!"
"William, you've misunderstood us!" Abigail's eyes flashed as she grabbed William's arm, her eyes welling up. "Aunt Daisy and I were forced!"
William snorted coldly, not convinced.
"It's true!" Abigail bit her lip. "It was Ulysses who forced us! He threatened to kill us if we didn't do it."
"Really?" William's indifferent gaze swept over Abigail's face.
Abigail nodded quickly. "William, believe me. Ulysses hates Grandpa for kicking him out of the Fisher Group, so he took revenge on us. Aunt Daisy and I had no choice. The poison we gave Grandpa was from Ulysses. You can investigate if you don't believe me."
"I only know that it was you, Abigail, who personally poisoned Grandpa!" William's handsome face was tense, his tone icy.
By now, he was completely disappointed in Daisy and Abigail.
But since Abigail said so, Ulysses must be involved.
After all, Ulysses had been trying to take down the Fisher Family for a long time.
And the poison was likely given to Abigail by Ulysses.
Now that Ulysses had joined Jack and become his henchman, was the mastermind behind the poisoning related to Jack?
