Chapter 345 Flying to Maplewood

Margaret, however, disagreed. She turned to William and said, "You stay here and keep an eye on Angel."

If both of them went to Maplewood, the plan regarding Angel would fall apart.

"I can't let you go to such a dangerous place alone," William said, his brows furrowed with concern.

Margaret thought for a moment and replied, "Get a few more people to go with me."

For rescue and disaster relief, the more hands, the better.

William didn't say anything more. He made a few calls and asked Peter to help arrange personnel and a plane.

Margaret and William headed to the hotel together.

On the way, Margaret was scrolling through her phone.

The news was flooded with the latest updates about the Maplewood earthquake.

Margaret's delicate brows furrowed. The place where Alden was located was right at the epicenter, and the situation was grim.

Soon, the two arrived at the hotel, and Margaret headed straight to Juniper's room.

Juniper was in a state of panic. When she saw Margaret, she quickly walked over and grabbed Margaret's hand. "Margaret, what should I do? Will Alden be okay?"

Margaret patted her shoulder and comforted her, "Since he was able to call you, he should be fine."

"But the call got cut off after a few words. I can't get through to him now," Juniper said anxiously.

"After an earthquake, all facilities are destroyed, including communication towers, so it's normal not to get through," Margaret explained.

She then looked at William. "Is everything arranged?"

"I'll check with Peter," William said, taking out his phone to call Peter.

Peter respectfully said, "Mr. Fisher, everything is ready. I'll come to pick you up right away."

Soon, Peter arrived at the hotel with the car.

Margaret and Juniper got into the car, and they headed towards the airport.

The Fisher Family's private jets were parked on the lawn.

Hundreds of bodyguards stood ready. When they saw William and Margaret arrive, they respectfully greeted, "Mr. Fisher, Ms. Scott!"

Seeing the well-trained bodyguards and the well-arranged setup, Margaret felt a warmth in her heart.

"Thank you," Margaret said, looking at William beside her.

"Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?" William raised an eyebrow.

Margaret shook her head. "You stay here and keep an eye on Angel and BPL. We'll stay in touch."

Seeing Margaret's insistence, William didn't say anything more.

Margaret and Juniper boarded the plane, which took off and headed towards Maplewood.

Looking at the white clouds outside the window, Margaret felt a bit heavy-hearted.

Although she had never met Alden, she didn't want anything to happen to him.

If something really happened to Alden, Juniper would be heartbroken for life.

Juniper's nerves were taut. She bit her lip. "I'm sorry, Margaret. I know you're afraid of heights, but I still asked you to fly with me."

"We're good friends. It's okay," Margaret said with a smile.

Seeing Juniper's haggard appearance, Margaret felt a bit heartbroken. She let Juniper lean on her shoulder. "Try to sleep for a bit. I'll wake you when we get to Maplewood."

"I can't sleep," Juniper said in a low voice.

With Alden's fate unknown, she couldn't sleep.

Her mind was filled with memories of their time together.

If something really happened to Alden, she didn't want to live either.

Juniper even felt that Alden's previous breakup with her was just an illusion.

Otherwise, why would he call her in such a dangerous moment?

She still remembered Alden's hoarse voice on the other end of the line, saying, "Juniper, I wish you happiness."

She hadn't had a chance to say anything before the call was cut off.

An hour later, the plane slowly landed at the Maplewood airport.

"We're here!" Margaret said, pulling Juniper off the plane.

The local rescue team that William had contacted was waiting for them.

"What's the situation now?" Margaret asked the rescue team leader.

The leader walked up to Margaret. "The earthquake affected a wide area, and the rescue team is severely understaffed. We're currently conducting rescue operations in several major cities."

"What about the Azure Mountain Area?" Juniper asked eagerly.

The leader's expression turned serious. "That's the hardest-hit area. There are constant aftershocks, and we can't go there yet."

"Margaret, I have to go. Alden is waiting for me to save him!" Juniper said firmly.

Margaret rubbed her temples, thinking that it was indeed dangerous to go there now, but Alden was still in danger.

If they waited more than seventy-two hours, there would be little hope left.

"We're going now." Margaret decided.

She comforted Juniper, "Don't worry, we'll find Alden as soon as possible."

At that moment, a familiar figure approached them.

From a distance, he waved and greeted them, "Ms. Scott! Juniper!"

"Samuel? What are you doing here?" Margaret asked in surprise.

Samuel quickly walked over and exaggeratedly said, "Holy crap, I was extremely scared! Our crew came to Maplewood to shoot a film, and we encountered the earthquake as soon as we arrived."

"Are you guys okay?" Margaret asked with concern.

Samuel's entertainment company was one of the top in the country, comparable to Starlight Entertainment, and the CEO was Samuel's older brother.

"We're fine. Luckily, we weren't in the affected area. A director got a minor injury and is in the hospital. The shoot is canceled, and we're preparing to head back."

"Glad to hear that," Margaret sighed in relief.

"By the way, Ms. Scott, what are you doing here?" Samuel looked at the crowd of bodyguards. "What's going on?"

He then noticed Juniper's pale face. "Juniper, what's wrong? You look terrible."

Juniper's eyes welled up with tears. "My boyfriend is in the Azure Mountain Area."

"Holy crap, the Azure Mountain Area? That's the epicenter! Your boyfriend? The one who broke up with you? That means..." Before Samuel could finish, Margaret glared at him. "Can you say a little less?"

"Sorry!" Samuel quickly apologized. "Are you planning to go to the Azure Mountain Area for rescue? I'll go with you."

"No, you should head back to Ravenford!" Margaret refused.

If something happened to Samuel, she couldn't bear the responsibility.

But Samuel followed them anyway. "The more people, the better. Maybe I'll be the one to save Juniper's boyfriend!"

The group switched to a helicopter and headed towards the Azure Mountain Area.

Seeing Juniper's gloominess, Samuel tried to cheer her up along the way. "Juniper, let me tell you a joke."

"Samuel, can you let me be quiet for a bit?" Juniper had no mood for jokes; her mind was filled with thoughts of Alden.

Samuel sighed, "Alright, I'll shut up. But Juniper, don't worry too much. With so many of us, we'll definitely find your boyfriend. If he dares to bully you, I'll be the first to deal with him!"
