Chapter 373 The Woman Who Usurped Someone Else's Territory
"Of course I'm serious!" Samuel blurted out his answer immediately, nodding eagerly.
He couldn't be more certain; Juniper was the person he wanted to protect for the rest of his life.
Especially after what had happened, even if it was a moment of impulse for both of them, as a man, he had to take responsibility.
Margaret was still hesitant. She knew who Juniper truly loved, but Samuel was so earnest. "This..."
Sensing Margaret waver, Samuel couldn't help but stepped forward, looking into her eyes with utmost sincerity and passion. "Ms. Scott, I swear I genuinely like Juniper. I want to protect her for a lifetime. Please help me!"
"Alright." Seeing the look in Samuel's eyes, Margaret felt he wasn't lying and finally agreed.
However, she knew Juniper's personality well, who definitely wouldn't want to see Samuel in the next few days. So Samuel couldn't too rush.
Margaret pondered for a moment and said to Samuel, "How about this, you go back first. Don't be in a hurry, and don't disturb Juniper for the next couple of days. Let her calm down."
Hearing this, Samuel immediately smiled, quickly understanding what she meant, and nodded repeatedly. "Okay, I'll go back first then. Ms. Scott, please help me persuade her more."
Samuel left happily. Watching his back, Margaret still felt a bit worried. She shook her head and turned to her study to get back to her work.
At hospital, Angel lay on the hospital bed, turning her head towards the door.
She hadn't seen William for a long time. Even after he returned from Maplewood, he hadn't visited the hospital once.
'Could he have rekindled his old feelings with Margaret? No, that couldn't be. William is mine!' The more Angel thought about it, the more anxious she became. She threw off the covers and sat up, seeing the phone on the bedside table, and dialed William's number.
"Hello, William." Angel's voice sounded a bit weak.
William closed the document in his hand. "Marjorie, what's wrong?"
William's voice sounded very gentle, making Angel smile involuntarily. It wasn't until William spoke again that she responded, saying softly, "William, have you been very busy with work these past few days? I haven't seen you for a long time."
"Just got back from Maplewood not long ago. There are a lot of things at the company waiting for me to handle, so I haven't had time to come to the hospital to accompany you." Hearing this, Angel finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Realizing wasn't with Margaret, Angel bit her lip and said, "William, I asked the doctor and nurses before. They said my condition is improving!"
Angel smiled, listening carefully to the sounds on the other end of the phone, and tentatively said, "But the hospital is too stuffy. William, I want to be discharged and stay at your place."
Hearing that, William frowned slightly.
He hadn't expected Angel to make such a request, but thinking about it now, it seemed just right.
William thought about his plan with Margaret and agreed with Angel. "Alright, then rest well tonight. I'll come to get you and handle the discharge procedures tomorrow."
The next morning at nine, William arrived at the ward as promised to discharge Angel.
Angel had already tidied up and changed into the clothes she wore before being hospitalized.
Seeing William arrive, Angel gave a happy smile. "William, you finally came to get me."
"Yes." William smiled gently at her. "I've already handled the discharge procedures. I'm here to take you home."
Hearing this word, Angel smiled shyly.
She thought to herself, 'Since William said so, it means he still has feelings for me. As for Margaret? She is probably the past for him.'
Angel slightly restrained her smile, looked up into William's eyes, and nodded heavily.
At this rate, her plan would soon succeed, and she could rightfully replace Margaret as William's wife.
Margaret would ultimately be nothing more than a mistress.
The car was on its way to Water Moon Estate.
Angel held onto William's arm, leaning against him like a delicate bird.
"William, if I move into your place, will Ms. Scott be angry?" Angel asked while looking at William, intentionally observing his reaction.
She deliberately mentioned Margaret in front of William to see his attitude towards her.
Sure enough, William, who was looking at his phone and texting someone, immediately darkened his expression upon hearing Angel's question. "Why would she be angry? I have nothing to do with her anymore. You can stay there without worry. If the company isn't busy, I'll come back often."
Angel nodded as if she suddenly understood, sitting quietly without asking more, but a pleased smile appeared on her lips.
The car soon arrived at the entrance of Water Moon Estate. Angel followed William inside, curiously and excitedly looking at the furnishings.
William placed her luggage by the cabinet and said to Angel, "Alright, you'll stay here from now on. The room on the left is your bedroom. I'll have your things moved here."
"Thank you, William." Angel gave a shy smile and softly thanked him.
Unexpectedly, the next second, Margaret appeared at the door. "I came to get..."
She stopped mid-sentence, seeing William and Angel standing in the living room, with William's hand on Angel's head.
Hearing the voice, Angel turned around, looking surprised. "Margaret? Why are you here?"
Margaret froze for a moment, her brows furrowing tightly, eyes filled with anger.
She quickly walked in, and hearing Angel's words, couldn't help but sneered, her eyes full of disdain. "Why can't I come? I'm the Mrs. Fisher recognized by Bradley. I'm much better than a woman like you who usurps someone else's territory. Besides, my things are still here, and I have the keys to Water Moon Estate. Why can't I come to get them? Do I need your permission? What a joke!"
Margaret looked at Angel with contempt, sizing her up disdainfully.
She had received a text from William, which was why she appeared here. This was also part of the plan.
