Chapter 272 Unveiling the Truth 3

Margaret hit replay on the video. "Y'all saw that, right? Someone totally sprinkled platinum on the bouquet that day."

"So what?" Mia tried to hide the panic in her eyes, took a deep breath, and said, "Even if someone did it on purpose, everyone saw it was this guy. What's that got to do with me?"

When Mia saw the video, she got a bit flustered. She was sure there were no cameras in that area. She told herself to keep it together.

"Yeah, it was this guy." Margaret smirked. "But this guy's a bodyguard for the Davis Family. And the one who told him to do it is you!"

"Margaret, you really know how to spin a tale. I don't even know this guy. How could he be a Davis Family bodyguard? Don't go accusing me." Mia pursed her lips.

She had already sent this bodyguard abroad. As long as she stuck to her story, Margaret couldn't touch her.

"Really don't know him?" Margaret sneered, then tapped her phone and pulled up a photo.

In the photo, Mia was with a bunch of people dressed as bodyguards. One of the guys was the same one in the video .

"Still saying you don't know him?" Margaret pointed at the photo and coldly questioned.

"Who knows if this photo is real? Maybe you faked it." Mia glared at Margaret, her eyes betraying her panic.

She had thought she could take out Margaret today and frame Skylar, but now things were spiraling out of control.

"Faked?" Margaret cleared her throat, about to speak when a clear male voice cut in, "Whether you told him to or not, let him say it himself."

The voice was so familiar—it was William's. Margaret's heart skipped a beat, and she looked towards the voice and saw William.

Today, William was rocking a custom-made charcoal gray suit, which made him look even taller and more put together. The powerful vibe he gave off made everyone step aside, creating a path for him.

William walked steadily towards Margaret. Behind him were two of his bodyguards, escorting a man.

Margaret was slightly stunned and looked up at William. "Why are you here?"

Since their argument that day, they had been giving each other the cold shoulder, and William had often been MIA.

William took a long stride, stood in front of Margaret, and bent down slightly, whispering in her ear so only the two of them could hear, "I'm here to help you."

His warm breath tickled Margaret's ear, sending a shiver down her spine and making her blush.

Margaret stepped aside a bit, putting some distance between her and William, feeling a bit speechless.

Margaret's eyes shifted to the guy being escorted by William's bodyguards. This dude looked super familiar.

Margaret rubbed her temples and suddenly realized he was the same bodyguard from the video. Even though his outfit was different from the video, it was still easy to tell it was the same guy.

Mia, seeing this bodyguard being brought in, turned pale.

"Who told you to do it?" William asked coldly.

"I..." The guy hesitated for a moment, then made up his mind and said, "It was Ms. Davis who told me to do it."

"Don't talk nonsense." Mia's face changed, her voice trembling slightly.

"Mr. Fisher, I'm not lying. It really was Ms. Davis who instructed me." The guy shivered under William's powerful and cold aura.

"He's framing me. Don't believe him." Mia raised her voice.

William looked at the bodyguard beside him.

The bodyguard immediately got the hint and forcefully pulled off the guy's shirt. On the guy's back was a tattoo with a "D" on it.

Everyone present was shocked and started whispering.

"Oh my, what is that?"

"It looks like some kind of mark."

"There's a letter on it too."

"Yeah, it looks like a 'D'."

"Yes, it's definitely a 'D', which means he's a bodyguard of the Davis Family."

Margaret stepped forward and said coldly, "Everyone can see the tattoo on this guy, which is the mark of a Davis Family bodyguard. Every Davis Family bodyguard has this tattoo on their back."

Everyone nodded, "So it's true."

"Didn't expect Mia to be so shady."

"What do you have to say now?" Margaret looked at Mia with cold eyes and asked calmly.

Mia's face turned pale and then flushed. She pursed her lips, wanting to say something, but the guy looked guilty. "I'm sorry, Ms. Davis."

"Useless!" Mia couldn't help but feel a surge of anger, stepping forward and slapping the guy hard.

"Didn't I tell you to go abroad? Why did you come back?" Mia's words were basically admitting she had instructed this guy.

The guy lowered his head helplessly. He didn't want to come back either; he was captured by William's bodyguards from abroad.

William's methods were ruthless; he didn't dare to cross him.  He had no choice but to admit the truth.

"Alright, everyone now gets that the incident at the opening ceremony wasn't an accident. It was Mia who deliberately instructed someone to mess with me!" Margaret's cold gaze swept around the room and finally landed on Mia's face. "Mia, with both witnesses and evidence, I haven't wronged you, have I?"
