Chapter 284 Do I Need to Pick a Day to Hit You?
"Margaret, let go of Abigail right now! Don't go too far. Your scandal with that celebrity is all over the internet and the news. We're not wrong about you, so why are you still acting so recklessly?" Daisy shouted.
Margaret frowned, released Abigail, and gave her a push.
Abigail slipped and fell right into the bathtub.
It was tiled, and she fell hard.
Abigail felt like her tailbone was about to crack from the pain.
"Abigail, are you okay?" Daisy was heartbroken and quickly went over to help Abigail up.
"It hurts so much!" Abigail grimaced in pain and glared at Margaret, "Margaret, you bitch. Daisy, you have to get her out of here!"
Margaret couldn't be bothered to look at them and just went back to her room.
The phone that the waiter took from her last night had been returned by William.
Margaret casually picked it up and took a look.
She found that the internet was full of people accusing her of seducing two men at the same time, betraying William with Lyle.
The entire internet was frantically attacking her with all sorts of rumors.
Margaret's face remained expressionless, her heart unperturbed.
She was once again dominating the headlines.
There was no doubt that someone was behind this.
Daisy helped Abigail out and glared at Margaret. "Margaret, I'm giving you one day to leave! Stop ruining William's life!"
Margaret didn't even glance at them, walking straight to her suitcase to take out some clothes to change out of her wet ones.
Abigail, shivering from the cold, was extremely jealous of Margaret's indifferent demeanor.
She walked over, snatched the clothes from Margaret's hands, and threw them on the ground, stomping on them with her wet feet.
Then, she kicked Margaret's suitcase, leaving a footprint on it.
Seeing the dirty, wrinkled clothes and the suitcase with a shoe print, Abigail felt a bit better.
She raised her chin proudly. "Margaret, I'm telling you, I'm not someone to be messed with. You better listen to Daisy and get out of here!"
Margaret looked up, her clear eyes staring at Abigail, her delicate face full of coldness. "This is the latest shirt from Bruda, worth 3 million dollars. The suitcase is designed by the famous designer Lisuo, worth 63 million dollars. Compensate me."
"How could your junk be worth that much?" Abigail screamed, her face turning pale with anger.
"Daisy, she's extorting me!" Abigail clung to Daisy's arm.
Margaret smirked, her red lips slightly parted. "Can't afford it? No problem, then let me slap you a few times!"
Before Abigail and Daisy could react, Margaret slapped Abigail hard across the face.
"You dare hit me?" Abigail held her face, looking at Margaret in disbelief, her eyes red.
Margaret sneered. Since these two came to provoke her, she would play along.
"Do I Need to Pick a Day to Hit You?" With that, Margaret slapped Abigail on the other cheek.
Abigail's fair face instantly swelled up.
"Margaret, you're crazy!" Daisy saw that Margaret was about to continue hitting Abigail and quickly stepped in to shield her.
Otherwise, Abigail would be disfigured.
She raised her voice. "You are not allowed to touch Abigail again!"
Margaret sneered. "I just did. What are you going to do about it?"
"You!" Daisy realized that Margaret had no respect for her.
Furious, she raised her hand to slap Margaret. "Margaret, you shameless bitch, I'm going to teach you a lesson today!"
Margaret frowned, ready to fight back, when a large, well-defined hand suddenly appeared, wrapping around her waist.
That familiar feeling—it was William!
A strong force pulled Margaret into William's arms.
Daisy's slap was missed.
"Mom, what are you doing?" William's face was cold as he spoke in a deep voice.
Seeing William, Abigail immediately started complaining, "William, stop protecting this woman. Margaret is flirting with other men while filming, and it's all over the internet! I'm just teaching her a lesson for you!"
"Is that so?" William's expression remained indifferent.
"Have you not seen today's news? This woman openly cheated on with Lyle and doesn't care about you. And she caused your grandfather to be in a coma in the hospital. Have you forgotten all that?" Daisy's face was livid as she listed Margaret's supposed crimes.
"Mom, that's between Margaret and me. You don't need to worry about it." William shielded Margaret behind him, his tall and slender figure completely blocking her.
Standing behind William, Margaret looked at his upright back, feeling a moment of emotional stir.
"William, we're doing this for your good. How can you..." Seeing William protect Margaret, Abigail's eyes were full of jealousy.
But before she could finish, William interrupted, "The matters between Margaret and me are none of your business!"
His sharp, cold gaze fell on Abigail. "If this happens again, even if you're my sister, I won't go easy on you!"
His powerful, icy aura made Abigail shiver.
Abigail had never seen William like this, so cold and unyielding. She took a few steps back in fear.
"Fine!" Seeing William's firm stance, Daisy was helpless. "If you insist on protecting this woman, there's nothing I can do. But I hope you won't regret it later!"
With that, Daisy angrily dragged Abigail away.
The living room fell silent.
Margaret sneezed and sniffled uncomfortably. "You could have explained to them that the news online is fake."
He didn't even bother to explain.
Those unscrupulous reporters from yesterday, after Grace had been taken away by the police on the spot, still reported false news about her cheating.
Margaret's eyes darkened.
"It was my oversight, letting those reporters write nonsense." William saw Margaret's wet hair, took off his coat, and draped it over her. Then he picked her up and headed towards the bathroom.
