Chapter 130 72 Strategies for Picking Up Girls

Facing William's grilling, Jones looked like a deer caught in headlights. 'How the hell does William have this video?'

He might've been able to BS his way out of the earlier recording, but this video? No chance! 'Cause in the video, it was straight-up him and Marilyn!

After watching it, everyone pretty much got the gist.

"Never thought Jones Turner would be the rat."

"For his own selfish reasons, he screwed over consumers and even planned an explosion. What a scumbag!"

"Marilyn's no saint either. She plagiarized and got Jones to pull this crap to frame the Fisher Group!"

The room exploded with accusations and curses. Jones wiped the sweat off his forehead and stammered, "It's fake, it's all fake! You're setting me up!"

"Fake?" Margaret's eyes narrowed. "You saying my recording and William's video are fake? Hate to break it to you, but they're legit! Everyone here can see that."

"And besides these, we got a witness too." William's eyes locked onto Peter.

Peter nodded and called out, "Bring her in!"

A couple of bodyguards dragged in a short woman. Jones went pale as a ghost when he saw her.

A reporter recognized her as Mira Caldwell, an online fugitive who made bombs and was tied to several terrorist attacks.

William's face was stone-cold as he looked at Mira. "Tell us, what's your deal with the explosion at Fisher Group's Warehouse No. 1?"

Mira, who was all about making explosives, had been hiding out in the mountains after her terrorist gigs. Jones, desperate to please Marilyn and take out William and Margaret, went all out to find Mira, paying her big bucks to make a bomb and blow up Warehouse No. 1.

Peter had gone through hell to track Mira down in the mountains and had the bodyguards bring her in.

Knowing she was cornered, Mira confessed, "I blew up Warehouse No. 1."

"Why'd you do it?" William's voice was ice-cold.

Mira shrugged, "Someone paid me ten million bucks."

"Who paid you?" William's brows knitted, his aura chilling. He asked again.

Mira shivered and pointed at Jones. "It was him!"

"You're full of it, I don't know you!" Jones was drenched in sweat. He had no choice but to deny everything.

"Don't know her? We checked. A week ago, ten million bucks was withdrawn from your account and given to Mira!" William's cold gaze pierced through Jones.

Margaret stepped up, her voice firm, "With both evidence and a witness, Jones, you can't weasel out of this. We're handing all this over to the cops. Jones, get ready for the law to deal with you!"

The police, tipped off by William, soon arrived to haul Mira and Jones away.

William's icy gaze swept around the conference room. Clearing his throat, he said in a deep voice, "I think it's pretty clear now that the whole 'Ice and Fire' jewelry mess was a setup by Royal Radiance, with Jones pulling the strings. The Fisher Group's learned its lesson and won't let this happen again!"

The room erupted in applause. Margaret glanced at William, and their eyes met.

The crisis was finally over, and Margaret let out a small sigh of relief.

Online, all the bad press about the Fisher Group vanished. Instead, there were posts slamming Royal Radiance and praising William and Margaret.

[Royal Radiance is so shady, I'm all in for the Fisher Group!]

[Jones got what he deserved, and Marilyn, the copycat, should be booted from the jewelry world!]

[William is so hot, and Margaret is gorgeous. They're a perfect pair!]

[Team William all the way!]

Seeing the flood of positive comments, Margaret smiled a bit. She thought, 'Are William and I really a perfect match?'

"What are you looking at?" Lying on the hotel bed, Margaret was scrolling through her phone when suddenly William's deep, magnetic voice came from behind.

Margaret quickly locked her phone screen. "Nothing much."

"Really?" William glanced at Margaret's phone screen from the corner of his eye, sat down beside her, and looked at her intently, "Do you want to make the wishes of all those netizens come true?"

Margaret was taken aback. "What?"

"So many people want us to be together. You wouldn't want to let them down, would you?" William smirked as he looked at Margaret.

Margaret stayed silent. 'This guy is so full of himself!'

After thinking for a moment, she said, "I'll seriously think about it and give you an answer in two months."

William raised an eyebrow and nodded slightly, whispering in her ear, "Don't make me wait too long."

His warm breath made Margaret's heart flutter. Blushing slightly, Margaret quickly changed the subject. "When are we heading back?"

"In a few days," William said calmly.

"Don't you need to rush back to handle company stuff?" Margaret bit her lip.

William smiled. "I'll let Peter handle it for now. I'm still recovering, so I'll chill for a few days before heading back."

"Alright." Margaret was a bit surprised that William, a workaholic, would want to rest.

Margaret checked the time; it was already late, but William showed no signs of leaving. Clearing her throat, she said, "William, I need to rest. You should head back to your room."

William's eyes darkened. 'Is she really that eager to kick me out?'

Margaret pushed and pulled William to the door. Peter was at the door, watching William get pushed out of the room with a teasing smile.

William opened the door to his own room and stepped in, asking expressionlessly, "What's up?"

Peter handed William a book with a grin. "Mr. Fisher, this book is just what you need."

"What is it?" William's cold eyes fell on the cover.

The large words on the cover came into view: '72 Strategies for Picking Up Girls.'
