Chapter 310 He Was Indeed Pretending

Margaret clung tightly to the edge of the rooftop, her mind momentarily unable to think.

"William, you must be okay!" Margaret murmured to herself.

She was about to call Peter to send someone to find William when she suddenly heard William's voice from behind her. "Margaret."

Margaret turned around and saw William sitting in a wheelchair.

"William, I'm so glad you're okay!" Margaret rushed towards him.

She knelt down, burying her head in William's lap.

William reached out, ruffling Margaret's hair, his magnetic voice sounding. "Silly, what did you think happened to me?"

Margaret took a few deep breaths to steady herself, suddenly feeling something was off.

When she went up to the rooftop earlier, William was clearly not there.

In just a few minutes, he suddenly appeared in a wheelchair, and there was no one else around!

'How did he manage this with his paralyzed legs?' Thinking of this, Margaret's doubts grew stronger.

If she guessed correctly, William must be pretending it!

Margaret stood up and walked straight towards the rooftop.

"Margaret, what are you doing?" William's tone carried a hint of nervousness "It's dangerous there, come back!"

"The ring you gave me, I think I accidentally dropped it. I'm going to look for it," Margaret said, pretending to climb up the rooftop.

Then, she faked a slip and shouted, "Ah! Help!"

"Margaret, don't be afraid, I'm coming!" Seeing Margaret in danger, William's expression tightened, and he reflexively stood up, rushing to her and holding her tightly.

He was indeed pretending it!

Margaret glared angrily at him, her clear eyes full of anger. "William, you bastard, how dare you lie to me!"

"I..." William, in his moment of panic, had forgotten he was pretending to be disabled.

Margaret was furious. "William, are you out of your mind?"

She was very angry, why did he lie to her for no reason?

"William, did you want to use my guilt to get engaged to you? Do you think it is fun?" Margaret's face turned cold; she hated being deceived the most.

"Margaret, listen to me..." William knew he was in the wrong and tried to explain.

But Margaret interrupted him directly, "William, you have disappointed me so much!"

With that, Margaret turned and left.

William was full of regret, his eyes filled with complex emotions as he watched Margaret leave.

Back in the ward, Margaret turned to look at the hallway behind her and found it empty.

Her anger doubled, because William didn't even chase after her and explain to her!

Margaret's face was cold as she turned and pushed open the ward door, only to see Abigail standing inside.

She was stunned. "Abigail? What are you doing here?"

Abigail, seeing Margaret's questioning, retorted angrily, "What's wrong with me being in William's ward? But you, what are you doing here so late?"

Margaret then realized that in her anger, she had walked into the wrong ward.

But she would never let Abigail have the upper hand.

Margaret raised her chin and said coldly, "I am William's fiancée. What's wrong with me being in his ward? Do I need an outsider like you to interfere?"

"Fiancée? Didn't you already break off the engagement?" Abigail was stunned.

Margaret smiled. "We're getting engaged again, didn't you know?"

Abigail was momentarily stunned. "Impossible, how come I didn't hear anything about it!"

Margaret raised an eyebrow, about to speak, when she heard William's voice from behind her. "You don't need to know."

She looked up at the ward door and saw William walking in with steady steps.

"William, Grandpa is still in a coma because of Margaret, and you still want to get engaged to her!" Abigail pointed at Margaret, very dissatisfied.

"Abigail, it's late, you should go home." William's tone was full of impatience.

"William, I..." Abigail wanted to say something, but William interrupted her coldly, "Don't come here so late in the future."

"Got it." Feeling William's cold aura, Abigail lowered her head, unwillingly saying, and as she left, she gave Margaret a fierce glare.

Seeing Abigail leave, William took a step forward, cleared his throat, and said, "Margaret, I know you're angry with me now. However, if I didn't do this, you still wouldn't face your feelings. How long would we have to wait to be together?"

"This is your reason for deceiving me?" Margaret asked coldly.

William, feeling guilty, averted his gaze and coughed lightly. "Actually, I wanted to tell you, but I also wanted to see your reaction when you found out, so..."

Margaret's face darkened, she said nothing more, and directly turned back to her own ward.

Abigail left the hospital and returned home, angrily saying to Daisy, "Aunt Daisy, that bitch Margaret is seducing William again! She tricked William into getting engaged to her again!"

"What?" Daisy was stunned.

"Aunt Daisy, we can't wait any longer!" Abigail's eyes flashed with jealousy towards Margaret.

If they waited any longer, Margaret would really get engaged to William, and then they would get married.

By then, there would be no place for her in the Fisher Family.

Just thinking about how William cared for and worried about Margaret made Abigail's jealousy burn fiercely.

'William is belong to me! Margaret, that shameless bitch, You're not worthy!' Thinking of this, Abigail fanned the flames. "If we let Margaret into the Fisher Family and become the hostess, Aunt Daisy, we won't have a good life in the future!"

"Abigail, don't worry, I will never let her in!" Daisy's expression turned cold.

Abigail moved closer to Daisy, lowering her voice. "Aunt Daisy, I think we can take Ulysses' advice. After all, no one found out about our previous actions, not even William."

Daisy thought for a moment. "Alright, we'll do as you say."

Abigail's face lit up with joy. "This time, we will definitely get rid of that shameless bitch Margaret!"

Daisy nodded, glancing at Abigail. "Abigail, help me contact Ulysses."

"Okay, Aunt Daisy!" Abigail readily agreed.

Previously, Ella, Mia, and Lucy had tried several times to deal with Margaret but failed.

Now, with Abigail personally taking action, she was sure to succeed in one strike!
