Chapter 31 Margaret's Complete Victory

Lucy looked on in disbelief as Adam personally apologized to Margaret, saying, "Miss Scott, I'm sorry."

How was that possible?

Grace couldn't hold back any longer and asked through gritted teeth, "Adam, are you out of your mind? Why are you apologizing to her?! Lucy chose this dress. You know Lucy, she's Victor's most beloved granddaughter. Offending Lucy means offending the Clark family. Do you know the consequences of offending the Clark family? Can you handle it?"

Adam completely ignored Grace and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "Miss Scott, to show our apology, we will give you this dress for free. I hope you won't be upset."

He had just received a call from Juniper, the head of Loe Studio, saying that her friend had been treated unfairly at RD and that he must resolve the issue to Margaret's satisfaction.

Otherwise, Loe Studio would terminate its contract with RD.

RD had worked hard to beat multiple competitors and secure collaboration with Loe Studio. If Loe Studio announced the termination of the contract, the losses would be immeasurable.

Therefore, Adam was willing to pay any price to ensure Margaret left satisfied, and Juniper no longer considered terminating the contract.

Free?

Lucy rubbed her ears in shock. Did she hear that right?

This dress was worth two million dollars. Why would Adam give it to Margaret for free?

"Adam, are you out of your mind?" Lucy's face turned gloomy. "I'll pay three times the price for that dress!"

"I'm sorry, Miss Clark. But this dress belongs to Miss Scott," Adam said with a forced smile to Lucy. "Why don't you look at other dresses? We have other high-end gowns in our store."

"I want that one!" Lucy was furious. She had never failed to get something she wanted!

Seeing Lucy's unreasonable behavior, Margaret stood up and said dominantly to Adam, "No need to give it to me for free. I'll have someone send the check tomorrow."

With that, Margaret turned to leave. She couldn't stand a moment more entangled with these two unreasonable women.

Besides, she had an appointment with Samuel that evening and wanted to arrive on time.

"Margaret, stop right there!" Lucy was furious. "Did you get William to help you?"

Lucy naturally didn't know that Margaret had contacted Juniper. She thought Margaret was just a powerless country bumpkin and couldn't have sought help from anyone else but William.

But why did William care so much about Margaret?

Why would he go against the Clark family to protect Margaret?

Seeing Lucy's furious expression, Margaret felt a wave of satisfaction and raised an eyebrow. "What do you think?"

"Margaret, you shameless woman, what else can you do besides seduce men? Do you really think William likes you?" Lucy was livid.

Margaret retorted, "If he doesn't like me, does he like you?"

"Margaret, you bitch!" Lucy was so angry. Her delicate face contorted as she raised her hand to slap Margaret.

Before she could strike, Adam stepped in, shielding Margaret behind him. From the conversation between them, he quickly understood that Margaret had an unusual relationship with William.

And William was not someone you dared to offend—he was practically untouchable, a figure of immense power and influence.

With this in mind, Adam quickly had the security guards stop Lucy and Grace. "Miss Scott, I apologize for any lack of hospitality."

Margaret smiled and turned to leave.

Lucy was left fuming while Margaret emerged victorious!

As night fell, at seven o'clock, Margaret arrived on time for her appointment.

Enigma Bar was the most luxurious bar in Ravenford, frequented by the rich and powerful.

"Margaret, over here!" Samuel and a few friends from the entertainment industry were already in a private room, drinking and playing games.

Margaret walked over with a smile. "Samuel, you finished filming your new movie so quickly? Congratulations."

Samuel eagerly pulled out a chair for Margaret. "Sit here. What would you like to drink? How about some red wine? I'll pour it for you."

Margaret smiled. She didn't like drinking alcohol. "No, thanks. I'll just have some juice."

"Come on. Just a little, pleeeease? Margaret, today is my birthday." Samuel eagerly poured half a glass of red wine for Margaret and a full glass for himself. "I'm so happy you could come."

"Happy birthday!" Margaret downed the drink in one go.

"You have a great tolerance!" Samuel clapped exaggeratedly.

Margaret chatted with Samuel for a while when suddenly, a melodic voice suddenly filled the air from the bar's central stage.

Intrigued, she turned towards the source of the sound and saw a young girl in a bright red dress singing on stage. She had shoulder-length wavy hair and an enchanting presence that matched her beautiful voice.

Seeing Margaret staring at the stage, Samuel introduced, "That's the bar's resident singer. I think her name is Angel."

Margaret nodded. "She sings well."

Samuel laughed. "She does, but she's nowhere near as good as you. I haven't heard you sing in a long time. How about singing a song as my birthday gift?"

Samuel's friends chimed in, "Margaret, sing a song for Samuel."

"Please?" Samuel looked hopeful. Margaret's beautiful voice had left a deep impression on him when he was seventeen.

Margaret glanced at the stage. "Alright."

The bar allowed customers to request songs. Amidst the enthusiastic applause, Margaret, in a long white dress, gracefully walked to the center of the stage.

"This next song is for my good friend Samuel. Happy birthday!"

Margaret began to sing, her voice melodious and enchanting, like a charming little fairy.

In a VIP box on the second floor, a tall and handsome man stood hidden in the dim light. His eyes fixed were on the beautiful girl on stage, and his deep gaze was filled with complexity.

William had come with friends to discuss business but unexpectedly saw Margaret.

Remembering hearing Margaret on the phone making plans to meet someone at a bar, his face darkened.

So, Margaret had arranged to meet Samuel.

Seeing William's displeased expression, the business partner quickly tried to lighten the mood. "Mr. Fisher, try this beer. It's the latest specialty from Enigma Bar, and it tastes great."

Looking at the beer, William found it particularly irritating.

Did Margaret even realize what she was doing?

Officially, she was his fiancée, yet here she was, openly meeting another man at a bar and even singing for him?

William's face darkened further, casting a shadow over the room. The business partner, now even more nervous, couldn't help wondering if he had said something wrong to upset William.
