Chapter 194 Angel's Seduction
William floored it and screeched to a halt outside Angel's rented place.
"Marjorie, Marjorie!" He pounded on the door, his voice deep and frantic.
From inside, Angel's sobs echoed. "Let go of me, you jerk, let go!"
Then a man's voice cut in. "You bitch, you're lucky I even like you. Let's see where you can run!"
William's face turned dark, and he kicked the door open.
The room was a disaster zone. Angel, hair all over the place and clothes a mess, bolted out of the room. Chasing her was a blond dude.
"William, help me!" The second she saw him, Angel threw herself into his arms, shaking with fear.
"You bitch, I spent a ton on you, hitting the bar every day to support you, and now you pull this crap?" The blond guy sneered, his eyes glued to Angel.
Angel sobbed. "I told you, I'm done. I'm not working at the bar anymore. No more singing."
"Fine, if you won't sing, spend the night with me, make me happy, and then we'll talk," The blond guy said, reaching out to grab her.
Angel hid behind William, trembling. "Don't come near me, William, I'm so scared."
William shot the guy a cold look, blocked his hand, and shoved him to the ground.
"You dare to interfere?" The blond guy spat, trying to get up.
William stepped on his chest. "Get lost!"
His icy aura made the blond guy take a closer look at him. The more he looked, the more familiar William seemed. He stammered, "Are you Mr. Fisher?"
"Now you know who William is? He won't let you mess with me!" Angel clung to William's arm, glaring at the blond guy.
"Mr. Fisher, I didn't know Angela was your girl. I messed up, please forgive me," The blond guy scrambled up, bowing and scraping.
William frowned, his voice cold. "Still here?"
"Yes, yes, I'm leaving." The blond guy nodded and bolted out.
"Marjorie, it's okay now, don't be scared," William glanced at Angel, his lips barely moving as he tried to comfort her.
Angel clung to his arm, leaning against his chest, crying softly. "William, thank God you were here today, or else I might have..."
"Who was that just now?" William asked, his voice deep.
Angel sniffled. "He was a client from the bar I used to work at. He's been stalking me, and today he came to my place to assault me!"
William patted her shoulder, his voice softening. "Marjorie, don't cry, it's okay now."
Angel wiped her tears. "William, I'm really scared. Can you stay with me tonight?"
Looking at the tear-streaked Angel in front of him, William couldn't say no and nodded.
"William, you're the best!" Angel wrapped her arms around his neck, whispering in his ear when he agreed to stay.
William gently pushed her away. "Marjorie, you're exhausted. Get some rest."
"I'm gonna take a shower first." Angel gave him a sly smile and a lingering look before heading to the bathroom.
William plopped down on the couch, and Margaret's face popped into his mind. He'd left in such a rush earlier; Margaret was probably fuming again, right?
He pulled out his phone to call her, but then Angel's terrified scream echoed from the bathroom. "Ah!"
"Marjorie, what's wrong?" William's heart skipped a beat as he jumped up.
"William, get in here! I'm freaking out!" Angel's panicked voice sounded like she'd seen a ghost.
William rushed to the bathroom door and stopped. "Marjorie, you okay?" He knocked, his voice deep with concern.
"There's a cockroach!" Angel shrieked, staring at the bug on the floor. "William, come in! I hate cockroaches!"
William let out a sigh of relief. "Marjorie, just step on it. Or wait till you're done, and I'll handle it."
Seeing he wasn't coming in, Angel's eyes darkened. She silently vowed, 'Tonight, he's mine!'
Angel quickly finished her shower, slipped into a super sexy nightgown, and spritzed on her favorite perfume. Admiring her sultry reflection in the mirror, she smiled and strutted out of the bathroom.
"Marjorie, you okay?" William asked, seeing her emerge.
"That cockroach was huge! I was really scared." Angel's chest heaved as she pretended to slip, falling into William's arms.
"Marjorie, you alright?" He instinctively caught her, startled.
Angel was in a cream-colored, semi-transparent silk nightgown, her curves barely hidden, looking incredibly sexy. She pressed her soft body against his strong arm, gazing up at him with doe eyes. "William, I'm fine."
The strong perfume made William frown slightly. He helped her stand up straight. "Marjorie, it's late. You should get some sleep."
"Can you take me to my room?" Angel rubbed her temples, looking weak. "I'm feeling a bit dizzy."
Leaning on him, William had no choice but to support her to the room. As soon as they entered, Angel yanked him towards the bed. Caught off guard, they both tumbled onto it.
"William." Angel wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her eyes shy as she looked at his handsome face. "Remember when you said you'd marry me? You said I saved you, and you'd marry me."
