Chapter 500 Thoughts Are Not Pure
Samuel had just signed on for a new music video project that morning, and by the afternoon, the company had already tasked the marketing department with promoting it.
To ensure the music video would have a big release, the company launched a massive promotional campaign. They even planned a photo shoot to grab fans' attention.
"Hey Samuel, Rainey, get ready. We're gonna take some promo pics soon and post them on Facebook," their manager told them as soon as he got the company's notice.
Both of them nodded while they were rehearsing their lines. Rainey looked at Samuel curiously and asked, "Samuel, what's a promo photo?"
"It's kinda like a costume photo," Samuel explained briefly.
In the studio, Rainey had already changed into her outfit and done her makeup. She was excited about the shoot, thinking about how to get closer to Samuel.
Having done many promo shoots before, Samuel was calm. Just before going on set, he reminded Juniper to make sure she ate well.
"Samuel, Rainey, let's get started," the photographer called out. "It's just a promo shoot today, so no need to be nervous. Just be natural with your expressions and poses."
Rainey, in her first promo shoot, did exceptionally well. She affectionately held onto Samuel's arm, her face beaming with a sweet smile.
"Great, let's try another pose," the photographer said, pleased with their chemistry.
After thinking for a moment, Rainey stood on her tiptoes and wrapped her arms around Samuel's neck, surprising him. "Samuel, the manager, told me to pose like this," she said.
Samuel was about to push Rainey away, but decided to let her hold him after hearing her explanation.
"Alright, that's a wrap for today," the photographer said, happy with the photos, and signaled that they could leave.
Once the promo photos were finalized, the company immediately posted them on Facebook. The handsome Samuel and the beautiful Rainey quickly caught everyone's attention.
The cool and handsome Samuel, paired with the young and beautiful Rainey, drew many fans online, who even started their own discussion threads.

At home, Juniper, who was resting, saw the Facebook post. Seeing Rainey and Samuel so close made her feel uneasy.
Rainey's hand, tightly holding Samuel's arm, was a sight that deeply pained Juniper.
Dione also saw the news and smiled brightly. "Rainey has such a strong presence. Look at the impact she made on her first promo shoot."
Seeing Rainey and Samuel together, Dione thought they made a great pair and glanced at Juniper.
"Rainey is young and beautiful, and she has a bright future in the entertainment industry. She might even help Samuel," Dione praised.
Juniper, hearing this, looked upset and sat quietly, staring at her phone, looking at Samuel.
"Mrs. Hall, I don't feel well. I'm going upstairs to rest," Juniper said, finding an excuse to leave.
Dione knew Juniper was upset about Rainey and felt secretly pleased.
Back in her room, feeling distressed, Juniper called Margaret. "Margaret, Samuel, and Rainey shot a music video together, and people on Facebook are saying they look good together," she said, her voice heavy with disappointment.
Margaret, who had already seen the news on Facebook, replied, "Yeah, I saw it too. But I don't think Samuel did anything wrong. It's that girl who seems a bit too close."
As a woman, Margaret could sense that Rainey had ulterior motives.
"Rainey and Samuel grew up together, and Samuel's mom likes her. When Rainey came to our house with gifts, I felt she might have feelings for Samuel," Juniper confided.
Margaret tried to comfort her, "Juniper, you're pregnant now. You shouldn't stress about these things. Samuel treats you so well at home, and you two have been through so much to be together. I don't think he would betray you."
Thinking about how Samuel treated her, Juniper felt a bit relieved. "But Rainey..."
Now that Rainey was in the entertainment industry, they would have more opportunities to meet.
"Juniper, don't overthink it. Samuel has met many actresses in the industry, and none of them caught his eye. You need to rest and focus on having a healthy baby," Margaret said with a reassuring smile.
With Margaret's reassurance, Juniper nodded slightly. "You're right. I should trust Samuel and not doubt him."
After chatting for a bit, they ended the call.
In the evening, Samuel returned home and immediately heard Dione's voice.
"Samuel, I saw the promo photos of you and Rainey today. They look great. You two make a good pair," Dione said with a smile. "Rainey looks even prettier on camera."
Samuel replied casually, "Not bad. How did Rainey get into the entertainment industry?" he asked, genuinely curious.
"Of course, she wanted to join because she saw you in it," Dione said, her smile widening as she looked at the photos.
Samuel looked around the living room but didn't see Juniper. "Mom, where's Juniper?"
"She wasn't feeling well and went to her room," Dione said, frowning slightly. "She got upset seeing your photos with Rainey. She's too easily jealous."
Hearing that Juniper was upset, Samuel felt a bit pleased. "I'll go check on her."
In the room, Juniper was lying on the bed, looking at the photos of Rainey and Samuel on her phone, feeling like a needle was piercing her heart.
Hearing footsteps outside, Juniper knew Samuel was back and quickly pretended to be asleep, tossing her phone aside.
Opening the door, the room was dark. "You're back," Juniper said, pretending to have just woken up.
"Yeah, Mom said you weren't feeling well," Samuel said softly.
Juniper nodded slightly. "How was your day at the company?" she asked, indirectly bringing up the promotional shoot with Rainey.
"It was fine. I shot a promo video with Rainey," Samuel said, testing her reaction.
Juniper pulled the blanket up and asked quietly, "With so many artists in the company, why was it just you two?"
Samuel knew Juniper was jealous and smiled. She finally cared about him.
He hugged Juniper through the blanket. "It was the company's arrangement, but don't worry. I only see her as a friend."
