Chapter 495 You Don't Understand the Matters of Female Celebrities

"Who's the mystery person sending you flowers every day?"

"No clue. There's never a name on the card," Seraphina replied, pulling a few of the prettiest blooms from the bouquet and placing them in a vase.

She noticed a card tucked inside and casually took it out, placing it on a nearby bookshelf already crowded with gifts from fans.

Margaret arrived at Starlight Entertainment just in time to see Seraphina holding the roses.

With a light smile, she asked, "Seraphina, who sent you the roses?"

"I don't know," Seraphina said, momentarily startled by Margaret's presence, and set the flowers down.

Her manager teased, "Maybe it's a secret admirer trying to win you over."

Seraphina's hand paused on a petal, a bitter smile tugging at her lips as if she remembered something. But she quickly hid the smile, pulled out her script from her bag, and started rehearsing her lines.

"It's probably just a fan gift. Besides, didn't you say public figures shouldn't date?"

"Seraphina, dating..."

"Loses fans," Seraphina cut her off smoothly, finishing the sentence for her manager.

Her manager chuckled, having only been joking. "By the way, we got the shampoo endorsement deal."

Seraphina was taken aback when she saw the company name. "Zola Cosmetics Company? They usually hire big-name stars. Why me?"

"The company wants someone with a strong fan base, and you've got that. Plus, you're a big star now," her manager explained. "You'll be on set for the shoot tomorrow."

"Seraphina, this ad is perfect for you. Good luck," Margaret said, patting Seraphina's shoulder before heading to her office.

"Tomorrow already?" Seraphina muttered, running a hand through her hair. "Can we ask the sponsor to Photoshop the ad? Changing my hair color would be easier, right?"

"Why don't you just ask them to Photoshop you in entirely so you don't have to go?" her manager joked.

"I'm going to lose my beautiful hair color, and you don't even feel sorry for me?" Seraphina pouted, but her manager was immune to her antics.

"I didn't expect Zola Cosmetics Company to specifically request you as their spokesperson, and not just for a regional campaign, but as the main ambassador."

"That generous?" Seraphina was surprised. Zola Cosmetics Company was a well-established brand with a great reputation. They usually hired award-winning stars, so their sudden interest in her was flattering.

Despite her surprise, Seraphina's confidence remained unshaken. "They have a good eye. I'm going to be a huge star."

"Sure, future superstar," her manager laughed.

Seraphina hummed quietly, looking at her thick script. She doodled a smiley face in the corner and chuckled at how ugly it was.

Since the ad shoot included outdoor scenes, Seraphina arrived early to get styled. Watching the busy crew, she couldn't help but admire the company's generosity.

After discussing the schedule with the director, Seraphina started shooting promotional photos and a short commercial. She expected strict demands but found the shoot surprisingly relaxed. The director encouraged her to stay calm, and by the end of the morning, she didn't feel too tired.

"Cut!" The director called, ending the morning session. Seraphina sighed in relief and checked her performance on the monitor.

"Great expressions, excellent results. We'll start filming the main ad this afternoon. Take a break," the middle-aged director said warmly. Seraphina thanked the crew and headed to the rest area.

"Good job."

A cup of juice appeared in front of Seraphina, who was checking her phone. She assumed it was from a staff member, but when she looked up to thank them, she saw a familiar face.

"What are you doing here?" Seraphina asked, delighted to see Terry.

"I heard the new spokesperson was shooting today, so I came to check it out," Terry said, sitting beside her.

Seraphina, holding the juice, was puzzled by Terry's words.

Seeing her confusion, Terry winked and said mysteriously, "I'll let you in on a secret. The chairman of Zola Cosmetics Company is named Perez."

"Perez?" Seraphina repeated, then looked at Terry's smile and suddenly understood.

"You… this is your…"

"My dad is the chairman."

Terry adjusted his glasses. Though it sounded like bragging, it didn't come off that way from him.

To Seraphina, Terry always seemed like a refined gentleman, and now she realized he was indeed a wealthy heir.

"If your family owns Zola Cosmetics Company, why did you become a doctor?" Seraphina asked, blinking in confusion. Was this like those novels where the CEO has a secret life?

"My dad wanted me to take over the family business and even forced me to study finance in college. But I didn't like the business world," Terry explained. "So I secretly switched schools to study medicine and became a doctor. My dad almost disowned me over it."

Terry's mock-pitiful expression made Seraphina laugh.

But she now saw Terry in a new light. Defying his father's wishes wasn't ideal, but his determination to pursue his passion was admirable.

"I watched your shoot earlier. You're completely different on camera," Terry complimented.

"You were watching the whole time?" Seraphina quickly wondered if she had done anything embarrassing on camera.

"I just got here," Terry reassured her, pushing the juice closer. "Lunch will take a while. Have some juice to tide you over."

Looking at the vibrant juice, Seraphina hesitated before resolutely refusing. "No, I'm on a diet. Juice is high in sugar."

Despite her words, her eyes lingered on the juice, making Terry chuckle.

"Dieting? You're not even a little bit overweight."

"You wouldn't understand. It's a celebrity thing," Seraphina mumbled.
