Chapter 286 Showcasing Skills

Margaret was startled by the news and quickly asked, "What's wrong with Bradley?"

"Bradley's condition is quite tricky. We're currently providing emergency care and can only stabilize him for now. You need to come and see him." Patterson's voice carried a hint of urgency.

"Alright, I'll be there right away." Margaret hung up and rushed to the hospital.

On the way, she tried calling William, but his phone was off.

He must still be on the plane.

Margaret hurried to the hospital and arrived at the operating room, where she saw Daisy and Abigail already standing at the door.

The red light of the operating room was still on.

Dressed to the nines, Abigail and Daisy were discussing which nail salon had the best techniques and planning to visit.

To an outsider, they might have seemed like passersby.

Margaret's eyes gradually turned cold.

Seeing Margaret approach, Abigail immediately glared at her angrily. "Margaret, you shameless woman, how dare you show up here! Get lost! My grandpa is still in there fighting for his life. If he knew about your antics, he'd be furious!"

Daisy snorted coldly, "You're not welcome here. Get out!"

Margaret, worried about Bradley's condition, didn't want to waste time arguing with these two women.

Her face turned stern as she coldly commanded, "Move aside!"

"What do you think you're doing, Margaret?" Abigail and Daisy exchanged glances and blocked the door, preventing Margaret from entering the operating room.

"Move!" Margaret's eyes narrowed slightly, exuding a powerful aura.

Abigail, still fuming from the two slaps Margaret had given her the day before, felt a surge of anger.

Pointing at Margaret, she loudly accused, "Margaret, what do you mean by this? This is the operating room, and my grandpa is in there fighting for his life. What are you, an outsider, trying to do? Haven't you done enough harm to him? Are you planning some new trick to kill him?"

"Abigail is right. You shameless woman, get out!" Daisy and Abigail blocked Margaret.

Margaret shot a piercingly cold glance at Daisy. "Shut up!"

Just as she was about to push these two noisy, annoying women aside, the operating room door suddenly opened, and Patterson hurried out.

Margaret quickly asked, "Dr. Hawthorne, how is Bradley?"

"His condition is stable, but it could relapse at any moment. You need to come in and take a look," Patterson said, removing his mask, his face covered in sweat, indicating how serious Bradley's condition was.

"I understand," Margaret replied calmly to Patterson and prepared to follow him inside.

Daisy immediately blocked her. "Dr. Hawthorne, what do you mean by this? Margaret isn't a doctor. If anything happens to Bradley, can you take responsibility?"

"Our current medical methods can't cure Bradley. Ms. Scott is highly skilled, and I believe she can help, which is why I called her," Patterson said, frowning with some displeasure.

Margaret was Pryce's apprentice, and her acupuncture treatment had significantly improved Bradley's condition before.

Everyone had witnessed Margaret's medical skills.

Daisy and Abigail knew this, so why were they repeatedly obstructing her?

If it were any other family members, they would try any possible solution.

But Daisy and Abigail were doing everything they could to block her.

"If you keep obstructing me and delaying Bradley's treatment, causing any irreversible consequences, what do you think William will do when he finds out?" Margaret pressed them, her eyes dark and penetrating. "Or have you done something you're guilty of and don't want me to save Bradley?"

Her gaze made them shiver.

Abigail, holding onto Daisy, tried to maintain her composure. "If you fail to treat Bradley and something goes wrong, William will never forgive you!"

"Don't worry, that day won't come." Margaret stopped wasting words with them and turned to follow Patterson inside.

After changing into surgical attire, Margaret approached the operating table.

Seeing Bradley lying there unconscious, her heart tightened.

Since her last acupuncture treatment, Bradley's condition had improved significantly.

Why had his condition suddenly worsened?

Margaret felt a heavy weight on her heart.

In a way, she bore some responsibility for Bradley's illness.

"Ms. Scott, please take a look at Bradley." Patterson's words brought Margaret back to reality.

Margaret regained her composure, her eyes serious and calm behind her mask. "Dr. Hawthorne, follow my instructions."

"Ms. Scott, rest assured. All the doctors and nurses here will follow your orders," Patterson replied respectfully.

After all, the person lying before them was the head of the Fisher Family. If anything happened to him under their care, their careers in the medical field would be over.

Patterson had great respect for Margaret's medical skills.

He believed Margaret could save Bradley.

Margaret lifted Bradley's eyelids to check for any abnormalities and, finding none, felt slightly relieved.

"Scalpel," Margaret said in a deep voice, extending her hand to Patterson.

Patterson quickly handed it to her.

Without hesitation, Margaret made an incision on Bradley's wrist.

Blood slowly oozed from the cut.

The other doctors exchanged glances, some exclaiming, "MS. Scott, what are you doing? The patient is already unconscious, and you're bleeding him! This could kill him!"

Margaret gave Patterson a cold look and said calmly, "Dr. Hawthorne, I don't want any interruptions during my surgery."

"Don't speak. Just follow Ms. Scott's instructions. I vouch for her medical skills!" Patterson said firmly.

Everyone immediately fell silent.

However, some were still unconvinced.

They were all renowned doctors who had studied abroad and practiced for over a decade. Otherwise, they wouldn't have the qualifications to stand here and treat Bradley.

But now, they had to follow the orders of an unknown young woman!

However, due to Patterson's high status, they couldn't say much.

They just hoped Margaret wouldn't actually kill Bradley, or they'd be in serious trouble too!

"Silver needles," Margaret said coldly to Patterson.

"Yes, Ms. Scott." Patterson respectfully handed the silver needles to Margaret.

Margaret inserted the needles into various points on Bradley's face, and the blood from his wrist gradually turned black.

"Is he poisoned?" one of the doctors couldn't help but exclaim.
