Chapter 102 Which Sister?
As soon as the nurse's voice fell, Austin felt extremely nervous, fearing that the truth of the matter was about to be revealed.
Susanna looked at him suspiciously. "Sister?"
Does Austin have another sister?
Austin quickly explained, "Susanna, I don't have any other sisters except you, I swear!"
He had never really admitted that Erica was his sister.
Susanna was somewhat helpless. "Austin, I haven't said anything yet, why are you so nervous?"
It seemed as if she was Austin's girlfriend, and he is cheating on his another girlfriend.
Austin coughed, "Anyway, I need to explain."
He turned to the nurse and said, "I got it, I'll go up later."
Austin directly interrupted the nurse's words, knowing who was coming to see him.
Originally, he had planned to discuss the surgical plan with Aaron today, but who would have thought that Susanna would suddenly have an accident and be rushed to the emergency room. Obviously, Susanna’s safety was the most important.
"Austin, go check what's going on, I can take care of myself."
After Susanna finished speaking, Dick quickly looked at Austin. "Don't worry, I'll take care of Susanna here."
Austin nodded. "Susanna, Take rest here, we'll go home together later."
After reminding her, Austin took the elevator upstairs back to his office.
He pushed open the office door and saw Erica and Aaron inside, both looking calm.
Erica stood up happily and said, "Austin, I called you many times and you didn't answer. Are you busy today?"
"Yes, there's an emergency patient that needs to be dealt with."
Erica's eyes lit up. "Was the emergency patient a woman?"
It seemed like Susanna had also been taken to the emergency department.
Aaron suddenly looked up, wanting to know Austin's answer. If it was really Susanna, what was happening now?
Austin looked suspiciously at the two in front of him, his gaze falling on Aaron. Thinking of the scene where he had brought Susanna to the hospital earlier, he denied directly. "It's not a woman."
He wouldn't admit it, nor did he want Susanna to have any relationship with Aaron.
Erica's eyes showed a hint of disappointment. She could have mocked Susanna if it was.
Aaron withdrew his gaze and said directly, "Let's talk about the surgical plan."
He had come specifically to discuss Maria's surgical plan.
Austin sat down. "Actually, there's no need to come specifically for the surgical plan. I was planning to discuss it with the doctor at the hospital. Talking about it now doesn't have much effect, after all, you're not a doctor and can't make decisions."
Upon hearing this, Erica's expression changed suddenly. "Austin, Aaron is also concerned about Maria's surgery, that's why he came."
Aaron's cold gaze swept towards Erica, making her feel guilty and sweaty. She didn't dare to meet his eyes, especially since she had deliberately lied about the surgical plan here which requires him to come to the hospital with her.
But Erica didn't expect Austin to expose it directly.
Seeing Erica's guilty expression, Austin seemed to have discovered something, continuing deliberately, "Erica, did you not explain to Aaron?"
"Austin, I think it's good for Aaron to come early and talk to you. We can get to know each other better, which is also beneficial for Maria's surgery."
Erica kept explaining, sweat forming on her back.
If Austin revealed the truth about the surgery, wouldn't her engagement with Aaron be ruined?
Thinking of this, Erica panicked, quickly saying to Aaron. "Aaron, I also think it's good for everyone to get to know each other for the sake of this surgery."
Austin interrupted Erica, "Aaron is not a doctor, is it useful for him to get to know me?"
Erica felt extremely embarrassed.
Aaron stood up coldly, suppressing his anger, then looked at Austin. "Let's discuss when you come to the hospital for the meeting."
After speaking, he left the office.
Erica tried to reach out and grab Aaron's arm, but he ruthlessly shook her off, looking at her indifferently.
Finally, Erica stood there awkwardly, turning to Austin. "Austin, did you have to say that?"
"Erica, was what I said not true? You're in such a hurry to marry Aaron, I thought your relationship was good. But just now, Aaron's attitude towards you didn't show any affection!"
"Austin, Aaron and I are about to get engaged, he does have feelings for me. It's just because of a small misunderstanding that he acted that way."
Austin narrowed his eyes. "Is that so? Could it be that you used the surgery as a condition to ask Aaron to marry you?"
Erica's expression paled a bit, denying immediately. "How could that be possible? I've known Aaron for three years. If it weren't for that accident, I would have married him long ago. Austin, I know you've never really liked me since we were young, but I hope you not to ruin my happiness."
"If you're sure it's happiness, then I have nothing more to say."
Austin's expression was somewhat unpleasant. "Erica, even though I haven't really liked you since we were young, I disagreed with you marrying Aaron initially because I felt he wasn't suitable for you. I was doing it for your own good."
Even if Erica wasn't his real sister, he still wanted her to be happy.
Erica's eyes held a hint of sarcasm. "For my own good? Austin, if you really care about me, stop scolding me, just focus on completing Maria's surgery properly."
Erica left the office, trying to catch up Aaron, as she always knew that she wasn't the heiress of the Jones family, so her future depended on her own efforts.
In this world, only power and status could bring her happiness.
Meanwhile, Dick arrived at the lobby to queue up for payment, almost colliding with a tall man in a black suit.
Dick looked up and met a pair of narrow, cold eyes, sending a shiver down his spine.
Aaron was half a head taller than him, with a much stronger presence.
Seeing Dick in front of him, wasn't he the man who had just brought Susanna to the hospital?
Aaron pursed his lips, looking at the medical bill in Dick's hand, and said coldly, "Paying for the patient?"
"Yes."
Dick subconsciously answered his question, feeling overwhelmed by the man's aura.
Aaron furrowed his brow, looking somewhat embarrassed as he asked, "Is the patient okay?"
Dick looked puzzled, did he know Susanna?
Aaron grew impatient. "I'm asking you."
Dick replied, "The patient is fine. Are you here to see a doctor too?"
His questions seemed strange, and his way of striking up a conversation was a bit too forceful.
But Dick felt like he had seen this man somewhere before. After careful consideration, he excitedly said, "Are you Aaron? The CEO of the Abbott Group?"
