Chapter 110 She's Backed by Six Brothers
Susanna admired Allison's courage a bit, but the latter seemed genuinely clueless.
Allison gritted her teeth and said, "It's all because of you that I've ended up like this."
Broke and indicted, she was on the brink of being blacklisted. With her phone service cut off for unpaid bills, she couldn't even make a call, much less go online.
All of this was thanks to Susanna.
Allison coldly smiled. "Susanna, I came here today specifically to see you fail and feel miserable."
Edward's expression turned sour the moment he heard this. "Where did this ugly woman come from, speaking so rude."
Arthur chimed in, "This is the woman who spread rumors and slandered Susanna last time."
Edward's expression darkened as he glanced at Arthur. "Haven't you dealt with it yet?"
Wasn't the goal to make sure this woman could never recover? How could she still show up here?
Daniel cleared his throat. "This is my fault, I'll look into it later."
Susanna turned to her brothers. "Never mind, I'll handle the compensation first."
She knew why Allison could stand here—it was because Elaine was secretly helping her.
But Elaine wouldn't be able to do anything from today onwards.
Allison was just putting on a show.
Allison laughed arrogantly. "Susanna, you can't handle it even with so many men with you. After all, you can't compete with those supporting me. They will transfer the money directly to Grace and Andrew's bank accounts later, and you won't get a penny."
Edward pursed his lips coldly. "Don't get too cocky too soon."
Because he had already had the company acquired overnight, the real boss of the company would change in this morning.
At this moment, the person in charge of compensation came out, as Allison immediately walked over. "Manager, do you remember our agreement? Remember to do as I say."
Susanna truly needed to see the final outcome to truly despair, so let her witness what despair meant!
The manager just pushed Allison away. "Get lost, don't delay my work. Damn it, I just found out the company went bankrupt last night, our salaries are still unpaid, go back and demand the money."
Upon hearing this news, all the people from the compensation company ran off.
Grace and Andrew, seeing the situation, hurried over. "Why are you leaving, you haven't paid us yet."
Allison was also surprised. "How could it go bankrupt!"
Upon hearing that the company had gone bankrupt and the compensation money needed to pay off government debts was gone, everyone rushed out to find the people from the company to get some answers. What about the compensation?
Susanna saw Madison also following the crowd and hurried to catch up, but she got separated in the crowd.
At this moment, a black luxury car was parked outside.
Aaron frowned as he saw so many people suddenly rushing out of the old neighborhood. "What's going on?"
The assistant received the information just then and turned to answer. "This small construction company was acquired overnight, people all running out to demand an explanation for the lost compensation."
"Acquired overnight? By which company?"
"Silverpeak Innovations."
Aaron furrowed his brow. Wasn't that the company owned by Erica and Edward?
It was a bit strange.
Were they planning to go after Susanna?
He coldly said, "Investigate the details."
As he was about to get out of the car, he saw Susanna being pushed to the side in the crowd, looking like to be in a trouble.
His eyes narrowed as he was about to get out of the car, but then he saw Susanna being embraced by a man, looking quite intimate.
Aaron rolled down the window and his gaze turned colder as he saw the man and woman embracing each other.
Lee in the passenger seat was surprised. "Isn't that Austin?"
Aaron coldly replied, "I don't need you to remind me as I can see."
He placed his hand on the car door, then slowly withdrew it.
At the entrance of the neighborhood, Susanna was almost pushed to the ground, as her face was ashen, drained of color, while Austin arrived just in time.
If a stampede happened here, her unborn baby would be in danger.
Austin was also a bit frightened. "Susanna, you can't be so impulsive next time, you're pregnant!"
Susanna stuck out her tongue. "I know. I saw Madison rushing out earlier, I was worried and wanted to stop her, but there were too many people."
"Susanna, you can rely on us next time, you have six brothers, you know? You could have had us go find Madison," Austin patted on her head.
"Don't do that next time," Austin said.
Susanna nodded obediently and followed Austin back to the old neighborhood. She suddenly looked back towards the road outside.
She felt a strange sensation but couldn't quite place it.
Susanna turned her gaze back and walked back into the courtyard with Austin, feeling relieved to see that Madison was safe.
Susanna was then given a lesson by her brothers once again.
Madison was a bit worried. "Is there any compensation as the company gone bankrupt?"
Edward confidently replied, "Don't worry, the compensation will be continue to hand out."
Susanna didn't hold out much hope. The government handing over the distribution of compensation to the company was a gamble.
Soon, a group of people in uniforms walked in from outside, holding a megaphone. "Hello, we are representatives from Silverpeak Innovations, which has taken over this company. Please line up to sign and collect your compensation."
Everyone started lining up.
Susanna was surprised."Silverpeak Innovations actually acquired it!"
Edward said seriously, "Susanna, you should feel more at ease with the powerful and reliable corporate group."
But Susanna didn't feel particularly happy.
After all, Silverpeak Innovations was Erica's industry. What if it was a trap set by that despicable Erica?
She felt it was entirely possible!
Austin added, "Susanna, take it easy, Edward worked in that group."
Susanna felt helpless for a moment. How could she explain her relationship with Aaron and Erica to Edward?
Oh well, for now, she would just go with the flow.
Allison tried to pull off her tricks again, rushing to the front with Grace and Andrew. "They are the owners of this house, let them sign."
Grace and Andrew quickly agreed. "Yes, it's us."
But the person in charge checked the information. "You are not the owners at all, you can't sign."
Andrew got angry, shouted, "This is my brother's house, he's in a vegetative state in the hospital, I definitely have the right to sign as his brother."
"No, the name on this house belongs to your brother's spouse, who is qualified to sign. The rests have no right."
Upon hearing this, they were stunned.
Grace sat on the ground and threw a tantrum. "This is unfair, she's a widow about to remarry, what right does she have to claim this compensation."
The Next second, Susanna strode over aggressively with her six brothers in tow, a sight that was quite intimidating.
