Chapter 259 She Is the Heir of the Jones Family

All six of Susanna's brothers stood up, looking pretty intimidating.

Violet's face showed a mix of confusion and curiosity.

Weren't these guys Erica's brothers? Where was Erica, and why was Susanna in her spot? The whole thing seemed weird to Violet.

The principal on stage felt the tension rising. He thought about introducing Susanna as Aaron's wife, Mrs. Abbott, to calm things down. But a stern look from the Jones family stopped him. He decided to stay quiet. Going against the Jones family wasn't a good idea!

"Susanna, give me the microphone," Edward said.

Susanna handed it over without a fuss.

Edward looked straight at Violet. "The money Susanna has is from us, her brothers. We want her to do something meaningful with it."

"But aren't you Erica's brothers?" Violet asked.

Edward looked around. "Since Susanna's classmates are here, it's time to clear things up. Erica is just an adopted daughter. The real heir of the Jones family was lost for years and only recently found."

The crowd buzzed with shock, all eyes on Susanna. The truth was out.

Susanna sighed. Keeping a low profile was no longer an option.

Edward continued, "That's right, Susanna is the true heir of the Jones family!"

The audience was stunned. Even the principal almost dropped the microphone. Susanna, the Jones heir? And Aaron's wife? Talk about a twist!

Susanna gave an awkward but polite smile, meeting Violet's unhappy gaze.

Violet was clearly shocked that Erica was just adopted. She'd been trying to undermine Susanna to get in good with Erica.

Brian took the microphone and looked at Violet. "I remember you. You did well in the music team selection and got an invitation."

Violet's face looked uneasy. "Yes, thanks for the compliment, , Mr. Jones."

"No need to thank me, because that invitation is now void!" Brian said firmly.

"Why?"

Violet's face fell. She glanced at Susanna, biting her lip. "What happened was a misunderstanding. I didn't know Ms. Jones was adopted. Canceling my invitation over this seems unfair."

Brian's voice was cold. "Not knowing Susanna's status doesn't excuse defaming her. We don't want people with questionable morals on our team."

Daniel added, "And for the false statements you made, which hurt Susanna's reputation, if any negative remarks spread, we might take legal action against you."

Violet was so scared she fell to the ground. She'd tried to please Erica, but now Susanna was the Jones heir! Everything was messed up.

Seeing Violet's pale face, Susanna felt no sympathy. If her secret hadn't come out today, she'd be the one dealing with all the gossip.

Suddenly, Aaron walked in, his arm bandaged and looking a bit pale.

Susanna was shocked to see him back so soon. The hospital was far from the school. Did he skip it and go straight to the infirmary?

Aaron's good looks drew a lot of attention. He walked to the front row and sat next to Susanna's brothers.

The principal quickly said, "Let's continue the charity auction."

Susanna returned to her seat but felt an unsettling gaze on her.

The auction ended quickly.

The principal said, "Thanks to everyone, the event was a success. Special thanks to Mr. Abbott. Let's hear a few words from him."

Susanna was surprised. Wasn't Aaron injured?

She saw his assistant hand him the microphone. His elegant fingers caught her eye.

Aaron's deep voice came through. "I'm sorry, I'm injured, so I won't go on stage. This event..."

Susanna noticed his serious injury. Why didn't he go to the hospital?

"Susanna, let's go. The event's over," Brian said, sensing Aaron had plans. Now that Susanna's identity was out, they needed to protect her.

Susanna nodded and left with her brothers.

A car was waiting outside. She left with Edward and Aviana. The other brothers sighed.

Justin grumbled, "Why do Edward and Aviana get to ride with Susanna first?"

Brian looked jealous. "Next time, Susanna should take turns. I want to ride with her too."

The five men nodded in agreement.

Austin's smile faded as he saw Aaron coming out.

Aaron seemed different, less arrogant. Facing Susanna's brothers, he asked, "When are you taking her away?"

Austin replied, "In a few days. Why? Want to see her off at the airport?"

Brian smirked, "Aaron, now that Susanna is the Jones heir, she's out of your league. Do you really think you're worthy?"

Daniel warned, "Aaron, you and Susanna are divorced. Stay away from her, or you'll face our entire law firm!"

Justin chuckled, "If you try anything, I'll expose you online! People don't like ex-husbands causing trouble!"

Aaron stood firm. "But she can only be Mrs. Abbott."

For this lifetime!
