Chapter 357 Will Never Let Them Go
Susanna grabbed some clean forks and spoons from the shelf and put them in front of Vivian. "Feed Ramond first."
"Ms. Ramirez, Ramond can eat by himself, he's just a bit shy." Vivian handed the fork to Ramond and whispered, "If you don't eat, you're in big trouble when we get home!"
Ramond, being just a kid, got scared and took the fork, but he was all fumbly with it. He couldn't even hold it right.
Lillian, sitting across, was munching away with her fork like a pro. Compared to her, Ramond looked pretty clumsy.
Then, Lillian picked up a piece of meat with her fork and dropped it on Susanna's plate. "Mommy, eat."
Susanna smiled, "Thanks, sweetie."
Next, Lillian grabbed another piece and put it on Aaron's plate. "Aaron, this is for you."
Aaron glanced at the plate, surprise flickering in his eyes.
Vivian quickly said, "Mr. Abbott is really picky about cleanliness; he usually doesn't like sharing food."
Standing up, Vivian turned to Aaron, "Let me get you a fresh set of utensils."
Lillian looked confused, her smile fading.
Aaron looked at the meat on his plate and calmly ate it.
Lillian's face lit up. "Is it good?"
Aaron's lips curved slightly, "It's good. Just focus on your meal, don't worry about me."
Everyone was stunned.
Susanna's eyes showed a hint of surprise. She hadn't expected Aaron to actually eat the food from Lillian. She thought he'd avoid it because of his cleanliness obsession.
Vivian was shocked. Aaron actually ate the food Lillian gave him! Unbelievable!
In the Abbott household, Aaron's cleanliness was legendary. So when Lillian gave him the food, Vivian saw an opportunity but never thought Aaron would actually eat it!
Vivian gripped the fork tightly but still stepped forward, "Aaron, let me get you a new set of utensils."
Aaron pressed down on his plate, frowned at Vivian, "Why are you worrying about everyone else? Ramond can't even hold a fork right and still needs help eating! Seriously, how are you raising your kid?"
Vivian felt embarrassed by the harsh words.
Susanna, watching, said lightly, "Mr. Abbott, don't be so harsh. It's natural for a mother to spoil her child. Ms. Nguyen, as a single mom raising Ramond, is bound to be a bit indulgent."
Aaron snorted and chose not to say more in Ramond's presence. Vivian's shoulders slumped as she returned to her seat, looking dejected. Her gaze bore into Ramond, full of disappointment.
At this moment, Lillian put down her fork. "I'm full, Mommy. Can I go play with my toys?"
Susanna replied, "Of course you can."
Vivian looked at Ramond. "Ramond, you don't seem to want to eat either. Go play with your toys," she said, figuring Ramond wouldn't leave a bad impression on Aaron.
Ramond, feeling relieved, dropped his fork and dashed over to the toy area.
Now, it was just the three adults left at the table.
Vivian, still trying to fix Ramond's image in front of Aaron, said, "Aaron, I know Ramond's a bit spoiled. I'll teach him to eat by himself when we get back, and I won't let the Abbott family nanny help him anymore."
Aaron just shrugged it off.
Susanna, almost done with her meal, looked at Aaron. "Why does Ms. Nguyen's son need a nanny from the Abbott family?"
Even though the investigation didn't show any clear link between Vivian and Aaron, the fact that Vivian and Ramond were living with the Abbotts was pretty telling.
Vivian smiled. "It's tough taking care of Ramond alone. Last time, I had a bad nanny, so Maud sent one to help out of concern."
'Finally, Nova's asking about Ramond's identity!' Vivian thought to herself.
Susanna raised an eyebrow, "Mr. Abbott, is Ramond your son?"
"No!" Aaron shot back immediately.
Vivian's face turned a bit awkward. "But no matter what, Ramond is still part of the Abbott family bloodline."
Susanna was puzzled. Aaron said Ramond wasn't his, but Vivian claimed he was part of the Abbott family. What was going on?
"I told you not to touch my toy! Now you're gonna get it!" Ramond's scream came from the side.
Susanna's eyes widened as she saw Ramond pinning Lillian to the ground. Her expression changed dramatically, and she rushed over.
"Why are you hitting her?" Susanna demanded, pushing Ramond away and helping Lillian up. "Lillian, are you okay? Are you hurt?"
Lillian weakly leaned against her and then fainted.
Susanna was terrified. "Lillian, wake up, don't scare me."
Vivian, surprised, said, "It's just a little fight between kids. I know Ramond; he wouldn't go too far. Does Lillian have some other illness?"
Aaron, with a cold tone, snapped, "Vivian, enough!"
He scooped up the unconscious Lillian without hesitation. "I'm taking her to the hospital," he said firmly.
Susanna's eyes were slightly red. She glared at Vivian with a hint of hostility. "If anything happens to Lillian, I won't let you off."
Vivian instinctively shielded Ramond behind her, "What do you want to do? Ramond is still so young; he doesn't understand anything."
"You better pray Lillian is okay!" Susanna said coldly and left the room, leaving Vivian pale-faced.
Turning to Ramond, Vivian scolded him, "Ramond, why did you hit Lillian? And in front of Uncle Aaron? How have I taught you? You need to please Uncle Aaron and behave well in front of him."
"Mommy, I hate her. I hate her for taking Uncle Aaron away." Ramond threw a tantrum, not realizing the seriousness of the situation.
Outside, Susanna and Aaron rushed Lillian to the nearest hospital. Lillian was taken into the emergency room, the red light flashing outside.
Susanna was extremely anxious. She looked at Aaron. "If anything happens to Lillian, I don't care who Vivian and her son are to you; they are done. I mean it!" Her tone carried a hint of menace.
