Chapter 308 Lillian from the Highway

Aaron was also a bit surprised and looked over, curious about Lillian's mother. 'Does she also look like that woman?' he wondered.

Lillian blinked her eyes as she said, "My mommy's name is Beauty."

The room fell silent.

Aaron's lips formed a subtle smile; Lillian truly was a box of surprises. You could never predict what would come out of her mouth next.

Sam was instantly exasperated and said with a helpless smile, "I'm asking for your mommy's real name."

"My mommy's real name is exactly that."

Sam sighed powerlessly and looked up at Aaron. "What do you think we should do?"

Aaron looked at Lillian. "Did your mommy teach you this too?"

Lillian nodded obediently.

Sam was a bit helpless. "But if you don't tell me your mommy's real name, how can I find her?"

"Daddy, don't you remember mommy?" Lillian asked sincerely.

Sam looked at Lillian's big, watery eyes and reluctantly answered, "If you don't tell me the name, I really can't remember."

"Douchebag!" Lillian instantly got angry, grabbed the unfinished cake next to her, and pressed it onto Sam's face.

Sam let out a yelp, his vision obscured by cake. He leaped to his feet, outraged. "You little brat, how dare you lay a hand on me?"

"Douchebag, you don't even remember my mommy. I've decided I don't want you to be my daddy." Lillian took out a spray from her backpack and sprayed it at Sam, the pungent smell of pepper spray filling the air.

Sam cursed under his breath, "Damn it, Aaron, help!"

Aaron remained indifferent. "This is between you two; I have no right to interfere!"

"Aaron! She's really not my daughter!"

Lillian snorted coldly, then marched over to Aaron. "Mister, don't worry. Watch how I teach this douchebag a lesson today!"

She then took out a toy gun from her backpack, and the small steel balls hit Sam, causing some pain.

Sam fled in a panic. "Aaron, help!" He swore this was the most embarrassing moment of his life.

'Are kids these days really this tough?' Sam pondered.

As Sam dodged, Lillian deliberately threw mouse traps on the ground, causing Sam to trip and fall, clutching his leg. "What is all this?" he yelled out of pain.

Lillian looked down at him."Mouse traps."

Sam was bewildered. How could someone as young as Lillian have so many tricks up her sleeve? He cried out in desperation, "Aaron, lend a hand! Can't you see I'm being picked on?"

Aaron was actually quite surprised too; he didn't expect Lillian's backpack to be filled with so many weapons, even if they were just toys, they were still dangerous.

The modifications were evident. It was clear that Lillian's family wasn't lacking in the money department!

Lillian turned back to him, continuing to take out weapons from her backpack, and looked at him boldly. "Aaron, don't interfere. This is between me and the douchebag."

Hearing her call him Aaron, Aaron couldn't help but laugh. Lillian really was unreserved, speaking in a grown-up tone.

He reached out and grabbed the back of Lillian's collar, preventing her from continuing to mess with Sam.

Lillian's feet dangled in the air, unable to touch the ground, so she angrily looked at him. "Aaron, put me down!"

Aaron looked at Tyler. "Take him to the bathroom to clean up."

Tyler had always wanted to assist but had been hesitant, fearing Lillian's wrath. With a clear directive in hand, he wasted no time escorting the bedraggled Sam to the bathroom.

Seeing Sam run away, Lillian was a bit unwilling, her small body wriggling. "Aaron, put me down! I need to teach the douchebag a lesson!" she exclaimed.

Aaron gently set Lillian on the ground but seized her backpack. Standing up, he rummaged through its contents, searching for any clues about Lillian's family.

"Aaron, give me back my backpack!" Lillian jumped up and down on the ground, but she was too short to even reach his thigh.

She angrily stood on the sofa, tiptoeing and stretching out her hand to get her backpack back. But the height was still not enough!

Lillian was so anxious she was about to cry, "Aaron, you're too much!"

Aaron sifted through the backpack until his hand closed around a sleek smartwatch. With a quizzical look, he gave it a gentle shake. "This can surely help you contact your family, can't it?"

He had been puzzled about how Lillian had managed to contact him earlier. Initially assuming she had a phone, he casually examined the contents of the backpack, failing to discover a phone and nearly overlooking the smartwatch.

Lillian instantly quieted down, pouting. "Anyways, my mom's always working. If she catches me sneaking out to find dad, I'm in big trouble!"

As he gazed into those big, watery eyes, Aaron initially found himself taken in by Lillian's pitiable expression. However, now unfazed by her attempt at garnering sympathy, he cut straight to the point and asked, "Which one is your mommy's number?"

Lillian lowered her head and said nothing.

"If you don't tell me, I'll start calling each number one by one," Aaron claimed.

"I'll tell you." Lillian reluctantly looked at him.

Since Aaron had her smartwatch, what if he really called each number? What if he called her uncles? She would be exposed immediately!

Observing that mischievous Lillian had finally relented, Aaron settled onto the sofa, retrieved his phone, and fixed his gaze on her. "Tell me, what's the number?"

Lillian thought for a moment, and Aaron immediately saw through her thoughts, uttering, "If you give me a fake number, I'll take you to the police station."

In the end, Lillian obediently recited Susanna's number!

Aaron dialed the number, and it showed the location as Novaria. When he saw the word Novaria, he was momentarily dazed.

"Sorry, the number you dialed is currently unavailable..."the mechanical voice went through Aaron's ear.

He frowned at her. "It's turned off?"

"My mommy is probably busy with work again. I took this chance to sneak out," replied Lillian.

"Isn't there anyone at home to take care of you?"

"I have a nanny." And a brother!

Aaron squinted his eyes, questioning, "Are you sure you didn't give me the wrong number?"

Lillian raised her little hand and swore, "No, if I'm lying, I'll get cavities from eating too much candy."

Aaron was silent. He was very curious about how this child was raised!

At that moment, Sam finally came out of the bathroom, leaning against the door frame and gritting his teeth. "I have a question: doesn't eating candy already cause cavities?"
