Chapter 335 Mr. Abbott seems a bit nervous
Susanna leaned back, resting her chin on her hand, and shot Aaron a cheeky grin. "Hey, Mr. Abbott, you look a bit jittery, don't ya?"
She wiggled her feet playfully, and Aaron's hand shot down, pinning her foot in place.
With the table draped in a white cloth, hiding their antics, Susanna got bolder. She casually swapped her nude lipstick for a bold red, making her presence pop even more.
With a sly smile, she teased, "Mr. Abbott, your steak's still sitting there. Not hungry?"
Aaron eyed the new, daring Susanna, his throat tightening. "It's been a while, and you've gotten a lot bolder," he remarked.
Susanna nonchalantly undid a button on her shirt, showing off her collarbone. "Maybe it's not just my courage that's grown."
Aaron's eyes followed her hand to her collarbone before he quickly looked away, frowning. "Susanna, button up!" His voice had a sharp edge to it.
Susanna burst out laughing. Instead of buttoning up, she kept going, revealing more of her outfit underneath.
Aaron couldn't keep his cool any longer. He leaned in, grabbing her hand, his eyes narrowing. "What are you playing at?"
"I'm just messing with you, Mr. Abbott!" Susanna's hand slid up his arm, aiming for his chin, but he dodged.
Aaron grabbed her wrist, his tone urgent. "Have you had enough?"
Susanna's foot found its mark, pressing down on Aaron's most sensitive spot. "Don't move! Or I can't promise you won't get hurt if I kick!"
Aaron froze, his intense eyes locked on her. "What do you want?"
"I wanna ask you something."
"Go ahead." His grip stayed firm, not letting her go.
Susanna's red lips curled into a smirk. "Mr. Abbott, after all these years, how've you been handling your... needs?"
Aaron met her gaze, his voice rough. "You really wanna know?"
"Just a bit curious," Susanna replied.
Aaron looked at her, surprised. "You've really changed. The old Susanna wasn't this bold!"
He brushed her cheek, his gaze intense. "I've stayed faithful all this time. Isn't it about time you fulfill your wifely duties?"
Susanna dodged his hand. "Mr. Abbott, do you really think anyone would buy that you've stayed faithful? Someone as rich, handsome, and built as you, lacking women? Yeah, right."
Aaron touched her ear. "Don't believe me? Wanna try?"
Susanna saw the mischievous glint in Aaron's eyes and smiled. "Alright."
She swept all the dishes off the table, then hopped up, sitting right in front of Aaron.
Looking down at him, she tugged on his tie. "Mr. Abbott, how do you wanna try?"
Aaron's breath caught, thrown off by Susanna's bold move. Emotions he'd buried for years surged up, making his pulse race and a flush creep up his neck. Tugging at his tie, he struggled to keep his cool in front of the captivating Susanna, her presence stirring up a storm of conflicting desires within him.
But just then, Susanna pressed Aaron's hand and glanced at the door. "Hey, Mr. Abbott, shouldn't you deal with the peeping Tom outside?"
Aaron followed her gaze and, sure enough, saw Vivian, phone in hand, snapping pics.
Vivian let out a scream, totally busted.
Aaron's face darkened instantly.
Susanna gave him a casual look and smirked. "Mr. Abbott, seems like today's not the best time."
She slid off the table, straightened her clothes, and flashed a smile with those crimson lips. Grabbing her bag, she strolled out, spotting Vivian lurking nearby. "Jealous? Seeing me with Aaron, the guy you can't have?"
Vivian clutched her phone tight and snapped back, "Don't get cocky, you're just a stand-in."
"Too bad, you're not even that," Susanna shot back, looking down at her. "And tomorrow, I'll definitely be with Aaron!"
"You bitch!" Vivian spat.
Susanna's slap left Vivian staggering. She fixed her with a cold stare. "Watch your mouth. There's no man I can't get. Don't worry, I'll return him to you when I'm done. Men are like shoes—when they don't fit anymore, you just get a new pair."
Vivian yelled, "Aaron, did you hear that? She's been lying to you all along!"
Susanna turned and saw Aaron standing at the restaurant door. She didn't feel guilty at all; instead, she flashed a bright smile. "Mr. Abbott, see you tomorrow!"
With that, she walked into the elevator and even winked at Aaron.
Aaron stood there, watching Susanna disappear into the elevator, his expression souring.
Nova's calm demeanor, even after he heard her words, made him a bit angry! It felt like he was being played.
Aaron felt like a feather had fallen in his heart, light and elusive. Nova was now like that feather.
"Aaron, you heard what she said. She's not Susanna at all; she just looks like her and is messing with you," Vivian said.
"Enough!" Aaron's voice was icy. "Hand me the damn phone."
Vivian confessed, "I didn't take any pictures."
"If a single snapshot or video gets out, you can kiss the Abbott family goodbye. Remember why you're here." With that, Aaron boarded the elevator and left.
Vivian looked at the messy dining table, seething with jealousy. That bitch Nova! How dare she treat her like this!
Aaron took the elevator back to his room, looking disheveled. Sam, curious, approached him. "Aaron, how'd the talk go? Why do you look all rumpled and your buttons are everywhere?"
Aaron looked in the mirror, recalling the scene in the restaurant where he almost lost control. He poured a glass of cold water and downed it, finally calming down.
Just then, someone knocked on the door. "Mr. Abbott, you there? Ms. Ramirez has a gift for you."
