Chapter 41 Playing Both Sides of the Fence
Susanna was completely confused, what did he mean?
The man said in a low voice, "What, you can't refute what I said? You're usually quite good at arguing, aren't you?"
Susanna wanted to break free from his grasp, but the physiological difference in strength between men and women made it impossible for her to escape his hold!
She simply gave up and reached out to pull his tie. "Mr. Abbott, I have never dated you before!"
"Just sent me a message yesterday. Forgot?"
Susanna looked up, "That's different."
"What's different? Keep trying to argue. It's all over the news, do you think I'm blind?"
She tilted her head and hooked her finger on his tie, "If that's how you want to think, then I can't do anything about it."
Aaron was taken aback. It seemed like a line he used to use often.
The man looked at her, "Do I need to remind you again? You're still a married woman, you should follow the rule."
"Your words actually reminded me. Thanks."
Aaron laughed bitterly in frustration. "Susanna, how did I never realize that your values were so twisted?"
"Because we don't belong to the same category. So, Mr. Abbott, are you free tomorrow? Take some time on your way to work to visit the government!"
The man paused and slowly released his grip, "Are you in such a rush to handle the paperwork so you can be with your new lover?"
Hearing his cold words, Susanna straightened her body, "Think whatever you want, I don't need to explain to you."
No matter how she explained, he wouldn't believe her anyway.
So there was no need to explain.
Aaron saw the stroller next to him and remembered that she had been taking folic acid before. His gaze became much colder, and he pursed his lips into a tight line, "Are you pregnant?"
Susanna was dumbfounded. How did he know?
For a moment, her heart skipped a beat, shaking all over, unsure of how to respond.
Aaron had said before that he didn't want children!
If he knew about the existence of the child, he definitely wouldn't let her give birth to this child. Maud also said that she wants Erica, a wealthy person, to give birth to the Abbotts's successor.
Aaron saw her reaction and his face turned cold. "Answer my question!"
Susanna struggled to swallow her saliva and didn't know how to answer the question.
The man advanced step by step, supporting the baby bed next to him with one hand. "You're taking folic acid again, and now you're looking at baby cribs. Do you think you're hiding it well?"
Susanna's back stiffened. The bottle of folic acid that she lost last time was indeed in the villa and he had found it.
She glanced at the baby crib and opened her mouth to say, "I have a client who needs a baby crib. Last time, I also gave you a baby crib. This brand has been running a promotion recently."
The man kept staring at her face, seemingly scrutinizing her words. "Susanna, although we have agreed to divorce, we haven't gone through the procedures yet. Do you know the consequences if you dare to get pregnant?"

Aaron's voice was cold. "Abort it!"
He wouldn't be so generous as to let her give birth to someone else's child while still married.

His answer was exactly the same as at the beginning. He wouldn't let her, someone who is unworthy of her identity, give birth to the Abbotts's child! Only someone like Erica, the heiress, is worthy!
Susanna felt very sad but calmly replied, "Don't worry, that day will never come."
‘Aaron, I won't tell you about the child!’ Susanna pondered.
"It's better this way!"
After saying this, Aaron turned around and left.
He walked ahead with an angry expression on his face, while the others looked at each other, wondering what the relationship between the boss and that woman was.
But the boss pulled the person into the corner, and they couldn't see what was happening inside at all. They were very curious.
Only the secretary saw the boss's expression and knew that things were not good. Since the boss asked for a divorce, his wife has changed completely and has been able to provoke the boss's anger!
After walking for a while, Aaron turned his head and looked at Assistant Lee. "Go and investigate Zachary. Let me know."
"Boss, that Zachary is from the Novaria the Jones family lineage and is also Miss Erica's cousin. His family is not lacking in money, and he probably joined the industry out of passion."
The man tugged on his tie. "Hmm, how many clean men are there in the entertainment industry? Are there any negative news about him?"

Aaron spoke up, "Continue, is there anything else?"
"There are rumors online that Zachary bought the house for Ms. Susanna."
"Huh, just a small house, and Susanna is interested?"
In their divorce agreement, he gave her more than just this. Aaron thought for a moment and opened his mouth, "Have the lawyer prepare and hand over the things in the divorce agreement to Susanna."
He wanted to make sure Susanna understood that Zachary was just a poor man!
"Boss, I thought the plan was to go to the government to handle the procedures and then complete the division of property?"
Aaron lifted his eyelids. "Is it you getting a divorce, or is it me getting a divorce?"
"It's you."
"Why talk so much nonsense? Am I your assistant?"
Assistant Lee immediately dared not speak. The boss's temper had become so irritable.
Susanna stood in place, watching his departing figure, then turned to look at the baby crib beside her. It was warm and cute. She murmured softly, "Baby, daddy is being bad, but I won't tell him."
She would raise the child by herself.
After looking at the baby carriage, she left and saw Elaine walking angrily towards her. Elaine arrogantly said, "Susanna, you are becoming more shameless now. You even dare to ride the popularity of Zachary."
Although outsiders didn't know who the woman with the back view was, familiar people could tell at a glance.
Moreover, in the last H.F. International Design Competition, it was this man who accompanied Susanna to make an appearance, and also gained popularity by piggybacking on Zachary. Elaine actually thought it was Zachary, but after inquiring, she found out that he was just a body double.
Susanna remained composed, staring in Elaine coldly.

Susanna's words directly hit Elaine's sore spot, and Elaine, irritated and embarrassed, raised her hand, saying, "Say it again if you dare!"

Susanna blocked Elaine's attempt to strike and said, "There are surveillance cameras here all the time. If a video accidentally gets leaked, showing Miss the Abbotts's daughter bullying others just because of her privileged background, how do you think people will view it?"
"You, how dare you!"
Elaine's tone clearly wasn't as strong anymore.
Susanna let go of Elaine's hand and walked away. She knew that Elaine was just a fool, but she couldn't stand Elaine's annoyance.
The next morning, when Susanna got up to go to work, she received a call from an unknown number.
