Chapter 91 My Brother is a Principled Man
Susanna saw Elaine was really about to turn the car around and hurriedly said, "There is still room for discussion, don't be so impulsive."
She really didn't want to be entangled by her foster parents again. She had finally moved away from the old neighborhood, and her foster parents couldn't do anything to her even if they were gnashing their teeth.
She didn't want her peaceful life to be disrupted again.
Elaine immediately showed a smug expression and drove straight ahead.
Not long after, Susanna unexpectedly saw Abbott's Group nearby; she couldn't believe they had actually come to the company.
Elaine parked the car in the designated spot and proudly said, "Susanna, you've never been here before, right? This time I'll take you up to have a look. After all, you didn't have the qualifications to come here when you were living with the Abbott family. Now I'll take you to have a final look, don't be grateful!"
Susanna looked at her speechlessly. "Actually, I have a question for you."
Elaine proudly raised her head. "Go ahead and ask."
"How do you manage to be so confident?"
After Susanna finished speaking, Elaine became furious. "What do you mean?"
Susanna replied calmly, "As the way you spoke just now, I thought you were the CEO of the company."
Elaine became even angrier, but considering that she still needed Susanna to meet Aaron with her, she could only endure for the time being. "Stop the nonsense and come with me quickly."
Susanna didn't say anything and followed Elaine into the elevator.
She saw where Aaron usually worked, it was indeed quite impressive which truly lived up to being a large corporation.
Elaine went straight to the top floor and looked at the people in the secretary department. "Where is Aaron?"
"The CEO is in a meeting, it hasn't ended yet. Please wait in the meeting room first."
Elaine felt a bit embarrassed. "I'll just go wait in Aaron's office."
"I'm sorry, Elaine, no one is allowed to enter the CEO's office without permission. Please understand." The secretary explained.
Elaine felt a bit sulky being rejected.
Susanna didn't expect Aaron to be so strict in his usual work. Elaine, as a member of the Abbott family, didn't have any special privileges here. She wore a smirk-like expression on her face, uttering, "See, I was right."
Elaine looked a bit embarrassed and said, "What are you looking at? You didn't even have the qualifications to come here before. Aaron has always been a principled person."
Susanna didn't say anything, and they went directly to the meeting room.
However, the meeting room was not empty, there was another person - Erica.
When the three women met in the meeting room, a palpable air of awkwardness hanging over.
Erica saw Elaine and Susanna appearing together, her eyes showed a hint of alertness. "Elaine, why are you with her?"
She thought, 'Did Elaine decide to support Susanna now?'
Susanna didn't expect Erica to be here as well, and that they were treated the same!
Aaron was indeed a workaholic.
Elaine looked a bit embarrassed and quickly explained, "Erica, don't misunderstand, I brought Susanna here to see Aaron about my credit card issue."
After hearing this, Erica remembered that Elaine's credit card was suspended because of Allison's matter. Elaine's lack of resilience surprised her; she couldn't believe she gave in and went to see Susanna after just a few days, which disgusted her.!
Erica immediately pretended to be friendly and said, "Elaine, I told you before that you can come to me if you don't have money, right?"
"But I can't always come to you. It's not good." Elaine replied.
"What's wrong with that? We are almost like family now. Here's my card, buy whatever you like." Erica suggested.
Handing her credit card to Elaine with reluctance, Erica could only do so in order to please Elaine and get her support.
After all, she always needed to pay a price to get what she wanted.
Elaine happily took the credit card. "Thank you, Erica, no, I should call you sister-in-law now."
Erica smiled somewhat smugly, then glanced at Susanna, feeling unhappy.
Erica spoke directly, "Elaine, why don't you let her leave? I'll talk to him about the credit card issue when Aaron comes."
She just didn't want Susanna to see Aaron, especially at this critical moment.
Elaine thought for a moment, then nodded. "Okay, Susanna, you can leave, you're not needed here."
Susanna also didn't want to stay here any longer, after all, it was Elaine who forced her to come in the first place.
It worked out well for her.
Susanna left the meeting room to prepare to leave, but she happened to see a group of people coming out of the adjacent meeting room.
The man leading them was wearing a dark suit, just as unapproachable and cold as he was, in the meanwhile, he was talking to his assistant with his head down.
The assistant was the first to see her and immediately changed his expression, saying, "Boss, Susanna is here."
Aaron subconsciously looked up and saw Susanna standing over there, His brows furrowed instantly. Why would Susanna come to the company?
A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, but he didn't show anything on his face, saying in a low voice, "Let her wait for me in my office."
Susanna wouldn't come for no reason.
The assistant hurriedly ran to Susanna. "Susanna, the boss wants you to wait for him in his office."
Susanna looked puzzled. "Actually, I was just passing by, the person who wants to meet him is in the reception room."
She knew Erica was there, refusing to stay here and embarrass herself.
After speaking, Susanna turned and walked towards the elevator.
Aaron saw the woman leaving, his thin lips pressed into a line, why did she do this on purpose, trying to get his attention?
Why did she come and then leave? What was going on?
At that moment, the door of the reception room opened.
Erica walked out from inside, with a gentle and happy expression as she approached Aaron. "Aaron, are you done with your work?"
However, Aaron didn't even look at Erica, his gaze was fixed on Susanna standing by the elevator.
Susanna never turned back. After she entered the elevator, she glanced back and saw him standing with Erica, then expressionlessly averted her gaze.
At this moment, she was just an impassive ex-girlfriend.
The elevator doors closed, Aaron's expression became somewhat off, and he turned to Erica and Elaine. "What are you two doing here?"
Erica felt a bit embarrassed, while Elaine quickly stepped forward. "Aaron, can you restore my credit card? The issue with Allison has nothing to do with me. If you don't believe it, you can ask Susanna, she's right here..."
As Elaine said this, she realized that Susanna had already left, so she could only look at Erica, hoping she could explain it clearly for her.
Erica looked a bit embarrassed. "Yes, Aaron, Susanna just said that it's not related to Elaine, and she didn't blame Elaine. Please restore Elaine's credit card."
Aaron pressed his lips into a line, looking at Elaine. "Did you bring her here?"
He was just wondering why Susanna would have suddenly come to the company.
Elaine quickly nodded. "On the way here, I've explained everything to Susanna and we reached an agreement, that's why she was willing to come over as a witness."
Aaron coldly said, "Did you apologize?"
Elaine's expression changed slightly, feeling guilty. "Of course, I apologized, otherwise how could Susanna come with me?"
"You're lying."
Aaron could tell that Elaine was lying at a glance, he coldly said, "Go apologize to her and get her forgiveness, only then can your credit card limit be restored."
Elaine quickly looked to Erica for help. It was an unbearable task than killing her to apologize to Susanna.
