Chapter 475 Make Your Life a Living Hell

Maud yelled, "Susanna, what the hell? You just slapped Ivy!"

Susanna shrugged, rubbing her wrist. "So what? Remember how I handled you and Vivian back in the day? You still haven't learned, huh?"

Maud's face fell, guilt creeping in. "But you can't just go around hitting Ivy. If people find out, your rep's gonna take a hit."

"Are you nuts? This is Philly! I can make your lives a living nightmare here."

"You wouldn't dare! Aaron would never let you get away with it."

Susanna's eyes went icy. "The day Aaron hit Philly, my brother beat him to a pulp and left him broke on the streets. If I hadn't taken him in as a bodyguard, he'd be dead by now."

Maud turned ghostly white. "You can't do this."

"So if you wanna get back to Lindwell in one piece, keep your head down. Don't come at me with custody crap again. Next time, you won't be so lucky."

Susanna turned to Ivy. "And you, zip it. If I hear you talking smack about Lillian again, I'll rip your mouth off. Got it?"

Ivy clutched her face, too terrified to speak. She knew Susanna was a total psycho, especially after what she did to Maud.

Susanna strutted out of the restroom, still rubbing her hand. Some people just didn't know when to back off.

Just then, her phone buzzed. It was her secretary. "What's up?"

"Ms. Jones, I found out the person Mr. Richardson met was a woman with a four-year-old boy. She was in disguise, so we don't know who she is yet."

Susanna's eyes widened. "Could it be his side chick?"

Given Owen's status, an illegitimate kid wouldn't be shocking.

"Ms. Jones, what's the plan now?"

Susanna thought for a sec. "I'm gonna go see him."

"Ms. Jones, are you planning to use this to blackmail him? Could backfire."

"If it were anyone else, maybe. But I'm Susanna Jones. The media loves us. If he wants to keep this under wraps, he'll have to play ball."

She hung up and headed to the hotel's upper floors.

Maud had just spilled that Aaron was gunning for the same project.

She didn't really care about the project, but losing to Aaron? No way!

This was her city. No chance she was letting Aaron win.

As the elevator climbed, it suddenly stopped before the top floor.

She frowned, wondering who else was coming up.

A bad feeling washed over her.

The doors slid open, and there stood Aaron.

Susanna smirked. "Well, well, Mr. Abbott. Fancy seeing you here!"

Didn't he slink out of Lindwell in shame yesterday?

How was he here at tonight's shindig?

Aaron gave a sly smile. "Not a coincidence. I've been waiting for you."

Susanna clenched her jaw. "Waiting for me? So you're just here to mess with me over this project?"

Aaron nodded, all smug. "Yep, that's the plan."

He really had the nerve to admit it?

Susanna stepped up and yanked on Aaron's tie. "Wow, you're bold. I let you off easy, and you come back to screw me over."

Aaron calmly held the elevator door open, making sure it didn't close on her.

Susanna snapped, "What the hell are you doing?"

Aaron's voice was rough. "So you won't forget me."

"Jerk!"

Susanna let go. "This is just gonna make me hate you more."

Like she'd ever remember a jerk like him.

She reached to close the elevator, but Aaron stopped it and stepped in.

Susanna glared. "What are you doing?"

Aaron adjusted his tie in the mirror. "Whatever you're up to, I’m in."

"What? Are you nuts?"

Seeing her all riled up, Aaron smirked. "You're my wife. We should stick together"

"We're divorced."

"Then I'm sticking with my ex-wife."

Susanna stormed out of the elevator, fuming. "Aaron, you're out of your mind."

Aaron followed her, cool as ever. "If you say so."

Susanna took a few steps, then spun around to glare at him. "Stop following me."

"The hotel isn't yours. I can walk this way too. If you're here to see Owen, so can I."

"I was here first. Wait your turn."

Aaron grinned, leaning in. "Say something nice, and maybe I'll think about it."

"Mr. Abbott, what do you want to hear?"

"Surprise me."

Susanna gritted her teeth. "Mr. Abbott, a handsome and wealthy guy like you should have some manners, right?"

Aaron didn't expect her to actually say it.

He chuckled. "Alright, but let's have dinner tomorrow. Bring Lillian."

"In your dreams." She knew he had an agenda.

"Then there's nothing to discuss." Aaron adjusted his clothes and walked ahead of her.

Susanna rushed forward and grabbed his shirt. "I got here first. Move."

She shoved him aside, and Aaron looked at her, surprised by her strength.

Standing in front of the suite, Susanna took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

A voice came from inside. "Who is it?"

Susanna smiled. "Room service."

Aaron raised an eyebrow. Susanna was lying?

The door opened.

Owen looked at Susanna. "Ms. Jones, you?"

"Mr. Richardson, sorry to bother you, but I need to talk."

Owen frowned. "Not a good time. Maybe later."

Susanna quickly said, "Mr. Richardson, about the woman and kid in your room, maybe I can help."

"Susanna, who do you think you are to help me?"

Susanna looked past him and gasped. "Vivian?"
