Chapter 571 Go See the Person You Want to See

Amelia said, "Susanna, if you need anything, just let me know. I'll do whatever I can."

Susanna replied, "Aren't you planning to send Vivian abroad? Give her a chance to escape to Lindwell. She'll definitely go to the Abbott Family to find Aaron."

"Susanna, I don't get why you're doing this. What if Vivian actually finds some support?"

"I just dropped a hint to Vivian. She'll definitely try to come back and check if what I said is true." Susanna had been waiting for Vivian to return to Lindwell for a long time. She needed to know what really happened back then and how Maria got hurt. If it was really Vivian, then she had to make her pay.

Amelia nodded. "Alright, I'll set it up. But Ramond has some connections with the Abbott Family. Do you think Aaron will stop this?"

Vivian seemed so confident earlier, and Amelia felt a bit unsure. She didn't know much about the Abbott Family. After all, Vivian had stayed with Ramond at the Abbott Mansion for five years, and there might be some unknown details. If Aaron intervenes, her plan would be ruined.

Susanna replied confidently, "Don't worry. I can assure you that Aaron won't interfere. Vivian is done for this time."

"Really?"

Facing Amelia's curious gaze, Susanna coughed. "Of course, this involves the truth about what happened to Maria back then. He has always respected her and will definitely investigate this matter thoroughly."

"In that case, I am relieved."

"But as for Ramond, I can't guarantee Aaron won't come to negotiate with the Richardson Family."

"Ramond is just the child of the Abbott Family's illegitimate son. Aaron's stance should be the same as mine."

Hearing Amelia's matter-of-fact words, Susanna fell silent for a moment. Logically, it should be like this, but Aaron was also an illegitimate child. So Susanna wasn't sure how Aaron would deal with Ramond.

Seeing Amelia's worried look, Susanna smiled. "You don't need to worry so much. As long as Ramond is safe, I believe Aaron won't interfere too much."

Amelia nodded. "As long as Ramond behaves, I won't harm him. I'm not that despicable to harm a child."

Amelia knew very well that all of this stemmed from Vivian and her father who favored sons over daughters.

After Ramond was born, he was used by Vivian repeatedly. It was actually quite pitiful, as he had no choice but to follow Vivian.

A few days after the banquet, Amelia sent a message saying that Vivian had escaped from the airport and probably bought a ticket back to Lindwell.

"I got it." Susanna turned off her phone. Finally, Vivian took the bait.

After thinking it over, she sent a message to Aaron: [Vivian has escaped to Lindwell. I told her that Maria had woken up once, so she will definitely go to confirm this.]

After sending the message, Susanna waited for Aaron's reply. It didn't take long for Aaron to call.

Susanna answered, "How do you want to handle this?"

Aaron's voice was choked. "Grandma really woke up."

"You're not lying to me, are you?" Susanna shot up from her seat, her mind going blank.

She had lied to Vivian about Maria waking up, thinking it was a long shot. But now, it seemed like a miracle had actually happened. "What did the doctor say? How's Maria doing now?"

"I just got off the plane and I'm heading to the hospital. The details are still unclear, but the doctor said it's a miracle she woke up. It might be thanks to that wonder drug you sent."

"That's no big deal. Maria was always so kind to me." Susanna could never forget how Maria had shown her love when she was just an orphan, looked down upon by everyone.

She could hear the airport announcements through Aaron's phone, signaling he had exited the terminal. "You should hurry to the hospital to see Maria," Susanna said.

Aaron hesitated before speaking, "Can you bring Charles and Lillian to see Grandma? If she knows you have the Abbott Family's children, it would make her very happy. Having them around might give her more strength to hold on."

Susanna hesitated. "I'll definitely go to Lindwell to see Maria, but as for the kids, I need to discuss it first. I can't give you an answer right away."

If Edward and the others found out, they would definitely disagree. They didn't want her to have any more ties with the Abbott Family.

"Okay, I'll wait for your reply."

"Alright, please keep me updated on Maria's condition. I care about her health too." After hanging up, Susanna felt a wave of happiness. It was truly a miracle that Maria woke up.

Given Maria's poor health and being bedridden for five years, the chances of waking up were very slim. After thinking it over, Susanna decided to discuss it with her family.

During dinner, most of her brothers were home because she had mentioned in the group chat that she had something to discuss, so they made time to come back for dinner.

Otherwise, everyone was usually busy with work and their own lives, and it was rare to gather for a meal. This time, everyone was present, including Charles and Lillian, who were seated at the table.

Susanna looked at everyone. "Maybe I should wait until after dinner to talk."

Edward looked at her and said, "Just say it."

Others added, "Yeah, Susanna. If you don't say it, we won't be able to eat properly. What is it that you need to discuss with us?"

Susanna hesitated and said, "Maria woke up. I want to take Charles and Lillian to see her."

Aviana looked surprised. "Maria woke up? That's great news. It seems the wonder drug worked."

Susanna nodded. "I think so, but we need further tests to know Maria's current condition."

After speaking, Susanna looked eagerly at Edward. She wanted to take Charles and Lillian to see Maria. This wasn't for the Abbott Family, but for Maria.
