Chapter 351 Susanna's Plan on Elaine
Elaine heard that and just lost it. "Your manager knows I'm coming today. Just call her up, alright?"
The clerk, not wanting to piss off Elaine, turned around and made the call.
Stella sneered, "Elaine, don't you have some super VIP card? Flash it then. Why you gotta take it out on the clerk if you can't back it up?"
"You don't have a super VIP card, but you keep frontin' like you do. Good thing the manager ain't here; she'd call you out and you'd be totally embarrassed."
Elaine couldn't handle the shade and snapped at the clerk. "You done with that call yet? Get your manager here now!"
The clerk hung up and said, "Sorry, Ms. Abbott, I can't reach the manager. Can you wait a sec?"
"Then kick these two out for me," Elaine demanded.
The clerk, feeling stuck, said, "Ms. Abbott, we didn't get any heads-up about a super VIP guest. Can you hang tight for a bit?"
Stella laughed out loud, "Elaine, if you don't have a super VIP card, stop frontin'. Now you're caught, huh?"
Elaine stood there, face red with embarrassment. She'd never been so humiliated, especially in front of Stella. She wished she could just vanish.
Everything was supposed to be perfect. Nova had told her to notify the manager so she could get the super VIP treatment. But now, the manager was MIA!
Just as Elaine was about to blow a gasket, Susanna strolled in, all casual, asking, "What's the drama here?"
Susanna's eyes sparkled with amusement as she saw Elaine's embarrassment. "Elaine, what's up? Who's giving you a hard time?" she asked, hiding her amusement with fake concern.
"Nova, finally!"
Elaine, ready to bolt in shame, lit up when she saw Susanna and rushed over. "Nova, I came early and asked the manager to clear the place so we could shop in peace. But the manager's AWOL, and I can't reach her. These people are saying I don't have a super VIP card and I'm just faking it."
Susanna paused, eyes twinkling with mischief. "But you don't have a super VIP card."
Elaine's face froze, looking super pissed.
Then, Susanna couldn't hold it in and burst out laughing, "Just kidding, don't take it so hard."
Elaine forced a smile. Without that super VIP card, she couldn't stand this humiliation.
Right then, the missing manager finally showed up.
The manager put on a polite, official smile and apologized, "Sorry, my phone died earlier, so I missed your call."
Elaine snapped, "As a manager, isn't it your job to be reachable? I was almost humiliated!"
The manager quickly apologized, "I'm really sorry, Ms. Abbott. I'll personally take care of you from now on. Is that okay?"
Elaine snorted and glared at Stella, "Kick these two out."
Stella's assistant shot back, "Why should we leave just 'cause you say so? The manager hasn't said anything about you being a super VIP."
Elaine shot back, "I'm not, but Nova is."
Susanna glanced at the manager and said, "Hey, can you clear the place for us?"
The manager nodded respectfully, "Yes, ma'am."
Elaine's face lit up with triumph. "Stella, see that? You two, get out now!"
Stella rolled her eyes, "Oh, so you're just riding on someone else's super VIP card. Let's bounce!" She did a quick outfit change and strutted out.
Elaine stood there, feeling all victorious. "Why don't you get your sister to snag a super VIP card too?"
Elaine's assistant chimed in, "Exactly, you only rely on Anna's support. What right does she have to criticize others?"
"Yeah, who doesn't have a sister nowadays?"
After venting her anger, Elaine cozied up next to Susanna. "Nova, you're the best. I've always envied people with siblings. Stella always flaunts her sister. Today, I finally got back at her."
Susanna, hiding her discomfort, said calmly, "Elaine, I felt a connection with you the first time we met."
"Nova, if you marry Aaron, we'll be family and even closer."
Susanna replied with a knowing smile, "That's true, but it depends on fate. I don't know much about Aaron or the Abbott family yet."
"That's no biggie. If you have any questions, just ask me. I'll spill everything about the Abbott family," Elaine reassured.
Seeing Elaine so eager, Susanna knew she had her hooked. She smiled and said, "Alright, to repay you, I'll cover today's expenses."
"Really? But I feel bad about it. I took your bag and shoes yesterday, and now you're paying again. It just doesn't sit right with me. I'm not one to take advantage of others."
Hearing Elaine's fake modesty, Susanna's mouth twitched. Suppressing her discomfort, she said, "It's cool, I gave them to you willingly. Who knows, we might end up family one day. This money is nothing to me. Go ahead, pick what you want."
Elaine was so thrilled she couldn't contain her excitement, "Well, in that case, I won't hold back!"
She immediately rushed over and grabbed the dress Stella had tried on first. After all, it was something she had snatched from Stella. Wearing it in front of Stella would surely piss her off.
Elaine's assistant quickly said, "Elaine, I'm so jealous of you."
"Yeah, Elaine, is this Aaron's girlfriend? She's so generous and she has a super VIP card. We'll all benefit from our connection to you in the future."
Elaine, while picking out bags, proudly replied, "Of course, Aaron's girlfriend can't be poor. This is what you call a matching family background!"
"Elaine, who is this Ms. Ramirez? I haven't heard of her among the wealthy families in Lindwell."
If a young person had a super VIP card, it would have already caused a sensation in the social circle.
Elaine calmly replied, "She's from Novaria, not from Lindwell, so it's normal you don't know her. But they've just made it official, so keep it on the down-low for now."
In the end, Elaine picked out several outfits, bags, and shoes, and posted a selfie on social media: "Shoutout to the future wife of Aaron for the gifts!"
Vivian, upon seeing this post, was so mad her face twisted in anger.
